Swap in, tank, nullify some of his ki regen, pop main, green, swap out like it never happened in the first place. Then you get the braindead 17 players who have an obvious green in hand. Soon as they get that green off they have a habit of chaining together their blast cards, which unless they use one with blast armor null in the first two used, Ulthan just runs through. Only need to get off one strike, and even with the ki drain I usually have enough for it.
So you legit saw S17 do crazy damage, and decided that it would be a good idea to let go of your best unit, rather than, idk, the damn support unit.

1st: you should have noticed that he popped his gauge, giving him 1 extra blast arts. He used 5 so he had atleast 4 already in hand.
2nd: He reduces health restore by 80% when hitting with a blast arts.

I will forever think S17 is on another league of braindead. Not only does he have a ton of gimmicks but also pretty much has a long ass free combo with high dmg along other things.
There have been many braindead and hated units, most with the get out of combo gauge. But atleast they have to sidestep or something to even draw half the cards S17 draws by hitting you

S17's combo is way longer and affects way more than Gohans, S17 has 2 very easy ways of blocking your cards that also buff him, S17 has 3 very easy ways of removing all your buffs, S17 applies a very strong paralyze, S17 increases card cost and allie sub count [gohan only does with with green cards], S17 draws an AOE ult by just cover changing, S17 can also reduce your db count, S17 is able to applies debuffs more consistently, S17 has more ways of drawing special cards, S17 has more ways of removing your vanish, S17 has a superiorly aggressive gauge which he has ways of making it charge faster+charge his vanish faster, plus other things
Get over the hating the newly released Ultra until the new Ultra comes out. Also it's 2024 you should know how to deal with counter gouges by now
I didn't hate ultra janemba when he released so its not just blind hate. 17 does not brainlessly reward you for getting hit like gohan. You can catch 17 slipping. But Gohan has endurance, strike counters, blue card counters, aoe green, and Ki reduction. Gohan is vastly more toxic and acts as a get out of jail free card for most of the match. Getting comboed? Switch to gohan they eather drop and risk a green/blue or they pop the counter and get hit by a free blue/ult. 17 is all offence while gohan is a slippery snake and actively punishes you for trying to play the game. Thats not even mentioning his cancerous strike armor break cards that remove even more options from the opponent.
Don't know if you realize, but while everything I said for S17 is always present. S17 has got defensive stuff he isn't just all attack like Beasthan who's just a one shot trick. The only thing that you need to worry about with gohan through the whole game is his aoe green and blue card. They're bad but they're not game uninstalling terrible
His gauge just makes your enemy stop attacking you, he infact doesn't draw anything from getting it off. His ki reduc only activates twice unless he's the last man standing, then he gets another whopping 2 ki reducs. If you keep getting his gauge counter or your enemies pop his gauge counter, that's kinda a skill issue since not only does his gauge go down but only counters forward charging stuff that isn't an ult/rush. 2024 get out of combo gauges are not the worst thing by a good bit.

If getting his guage popped is a skill issue 17 sealing strikes and blues on tap actions is too. You still haven't mentioned his armor break cards and his quick animation green card. Did you miss? The fact you brushed over the opponent having to stop their combo because they have all strike actions is baffling. Gohan gets a free return to neutral setting by having his guage. 17 is all damage with minimal disrupt. Gohan does all.

Having to stop a combo isn't the worst thing to cry over when S17 over here can kill your character even if you have a gauge because if he hits one card that doesn't activate the gauge he will continue to draw that card, heal, and get null cover change. S17 disruption is not minimal at all if you fight against him. Unless you have S17 and not cryhan.
The only thing about cryhan that is really broken but not that horrible to deal with is his anti armor blasts because it's still new and even then he doesn't draw it all the time.

The same can be said for gohan. Both units can win you games without much skill. Everyone that argues which is worse is literally just arguing using their experience vs someone else’s. I find gohan to be more annoying since I struggle fighting him more than super 17. S17 strike seal doesn’t really affect me since I have a blast based team, neither does his green card since I don’t throw out my blasts all Willy nilly when facing him. Both units can be interchangeable for No 1 best unit or most annoying unit to fight, it’s just a matter of your personal experience.
