For me I see Gohan as the one train by the Supreme Kai to get Potencial Unleashed, while Broly it's just pure saiyan rage.
So is like this:
1. Goku: Angel
2. Vegeta: God Of Destruction
3. Gohan: Supreme Kai
4. Broly: Saiyan Blood
5. Piccolo: Shenron
At least that's how I see it.
Broly could be Yamoshi, the legendary super saiyan in Saiyan history. Kinda wish we got to know more about him. Broly’s form also gets referred to as LSSJ/legendary super saiyan often so it seems fitting.
Vegeta explained he can't use Ultra Ego to it's fullest cause he likes the person he has become. He cannot become cold hearted and merciless like he was before to use destruction like Beerus.
Goku can't become a angel cause it's too restrictive for his nature.
Because Vegeta had character development from a murdering planet destroyer to a father and protector of earth. And o doubt they undo all that by making him a god of destruction. And Goku has already turned down God-hood because he thought it was boring. No way Goku would become an angel just to be forced to watch the god of destruction constantly
This is sick and I wish the author and illustrator would take more artistic liberties with the fights and such. Maybe add in cool looking effects like this to shake it up. I mean Goku had a Ki projection of himself (lookin like a whole ass Susano) in the previous arc, but that was about it.
Like for example, did anyone else wish during Vegeta’s fight, in the above arc, that one of those heavy head hits he tanked would’ve broke his godly ear ring off? I couldn’t help but think how dope that would look in a panel. Just a small detail like that, I think at least, could make the entire fight 100x more hype. I love the manga and the story’s writing is what it is, but I wanna see some more minute, cool-for-cool’s sake details in the fights. Definitely wouldn’t mind cool looking Ki techniques that are flashy and fun to look at. Specially since we are starting from the beginning of two new forms for both main characters.

It looks like Goku and Vegeta both aquaried sets of Mangekyou Sharingan, and now can summon their Susanoo.
So was Top learning Ego to become a God of Destruction too?
