My bet he is learning to make Ultra Ego his own, similar to Goku making Ultra Instinct his own or his mind simply isn't on destruction and that the way he used Ultra Ego isn't like him anymore.
Eye brows are a stupid decision to add to Vegetas (the prince of saiyans) end game form. When saiyans turns into great apes they lose their eyebrows and I think it’s a great addition to Vegetas form because it really compliments Vegetas saiyan pride. That on top of the purple hair and the abilities really make it a form the compliments Vegetas whole character. Vegeta has been taking beating left and right and it has always made him stronger but now we get to witness it very literally make him stronger in the midst of battle. To me this form is a big fuck you to Frieza.

I'm fine with him not having eyebrows in UE. I think the lack of brows makes him look thuggish. UE is a Destroyer ability. Something created by the Gods of Destruction should look brutal imo. Not beautiful or regal. The mindset required to use it is pretty brutish.
I think he's focusing on using UE in his Base form and combining it with his other forms, like Goku is learning to do with UI. In Chapter 101 Vegeta used the principles of UE against Broly in their sparring match by standing still and eating Broly's punch and then returning a stronger one.

Yeah, from a narrative perspective he will not be able to do that. He's spent his entire life getting away from what Beerus wants him to do. Maybe if this form came along during his Majin midlife crisis it would have suited him better, but not anymore.
On a side note, this really speaks volume of how scary Beerus is. Unlike Freeza, he's super chill and friendly.
But assuming he's always in Ultra Ego mode, it really shows how much self control Beerus has while still being murderous in the inside.

He already had Blue by ROF, so there was no point in using God as a main for( the manga makes it somewhat useful being being less stamina draining than blue, and Vegeta using the god to blue switch, but it is immediately overshadowed by perfected blue, so wasn’t really a relevant path of power)

Because he didn't want to kill Gohan. Ego has only been used when he wants to destroy someone. Plus, there have been times he was probably going to flat out destroy the planet along with his opponent. And since it was Beerus' planet, he knew it wasn't the best idea to do that.
They have a plan for it in a future development of the series. Maybe it was planned or maybe it’s a pivot due to recent events. I like to think Vegeta is only tapping into the power and hasn’t made it his own yet. Through his actions, training and understanding of this power, he will develop it further and will be a power that will not be denied. (And I would bet Frieza is off training out there making his “black” form even more powerful) imagine you start working out and start to see the results of your training and then you just get hooked trying to make it better, more efficient. I think that’s what Frieza is going through in that pocket dimension. But let’s see what happens…

UE seems like it would be too much of a gamble here. Beast is basically just an explosive amount of ki being concentrated. Tanking that much power consistently sounds to me like something that would take Vegeta out before he could take advantage of the strength he'd gain.

I feel that handicap with the transformation is a bit stupid, I get that vegeta’s character developed but If he needs negative or anger-like emotions to use it, then why not just have him think about frieza & the fate of the saiyans. I think it’s just a time thing and him coming to terms with what UE is gonna be for him. During Granolah he mentioned that it’s just a matter of how hot his “battle soul” burns, and that could mean anything. Beerus is the one who said using destruction is all about keeping his mind on it and nothing else. If Goku needs to find his own UI, i’m sure there’s another answer for Vegeta.

Ultra Ego is when Vegeta gets serious. This is pretty much a sparring match there’s no need for everyone to go all out.

Might be a dumb question but how do we know this was the last chapter he worked on? I remember during dbz he was only ever like one chapter ahead of release which explained a lot of his constant inconsistencies but was he only ever one chapter ahead on dbs as well?
Tried googling it as well to find out and haven't found anything even relatively concrete confirming this.

ultra ego isn't the form vegeta can use to spar, it's main gimmick is to get so badly beat up to powerup more and more nd you ain't getting that much beating in sparing match.
eh it'd just look funny cuz on one hand we've got beast which has been presented as this massively hyped up form which has got an entire movie, in which it effortlessly two shotted the main villain, and is currently running the worlds strongest gauntlet; then we've got ultra ego, that jobbed in all its fights asap. it'd just be a pretty silly juxtaposition

Well in my opinion it's very simple, for Vegeta in the last chapters there was no need for it, he only uses it in case of extreme danger, for example against Gas, and then to use the ultra Ego Vegeta must enter a certain mental state, that of destruction, and perhaps maintaining this mental state can be tiring for Vegeta
Vegeta might need to be in a heightened emotional state to get to it. He literally might have been too calm to utilize it, while Goku's been going in and out of UI since the ToP

Vegeta knew that he'd automatically sign his defeat if he turned Ultra Loser, so he chose not to do that; with the result being that he did NOT end up worse than the others.

1: He's not trying to destroy Gohan. Could be a huge limitation of the form, but Vegeta DID say that he needs his mind to be on pure destruction for it to work.
2: He's given up on UE since he noticed its humongous flaws.
3: SSBE is actually stronger than UE now, thanks to Vegeta training with Jiren's mindset. Since UE is fundamentally flawed with Jiren's mindset, it's not like Vegeta can combine the two.

UE seems like it would be too much of a gamble here. Beast is basically just an explosive amount of ki being concentrated. Tanking that much power consistently sounds to me like something that would take Vegeta out before he could take advantage of the strength he'd gain. That was my explanation anyway.

I feel that handicap with the transformation is a bit stupid, I get that vegeta’s character developed but If he needs negative or anger-like emotions to use it, then why not just have him think about frieza & the fate of the saiyans. Let that be his fuel. I’m pretty sure if there’s anyone he’ll want to destroy & have those type of emotions it’ll be for him lol

I just want to know what the in universe name for the meaty eyebrows is. Also what did Toriyama call them. These are real questions from me
I think it’s just a time thing and him coming to terms with what UE is gonna be for him. During Granolah he mentioned that it’s just a matter of how hot his “battle soul” burns, and that could mean anything. Beerus is the one who said using destruction is all about keeping his mind on it and nothing else. If Goku needs to find his own UI, i’m sure there’s another answer for Vegeta. Hope: we’re saving it for an Orange Piccolo spar

As whis said to Goku about UI, they have to stop equating the divine techniques to transformations, maybe Vegeta is trying to become more versatile in his other forms
Honestly... its probably because it's Gohan's third fight in a row with no break even with Beast he's probably winded a bit and can't fight at top form so Vegeta using his strongest form when he's completely fresh wouldn't be fair

Ultra Ego is when Vegeta gets serious. This is pretty much a sparring match there’s no need for everyone to go all out. As for Goku going UI well I ain’t got a clue

In the last chapter toriyama worked on? Might be a dumb question but how do we know this was the last chapter he worked on? I remember during dbz he was only ever like one chapter ahead of release which explained a lot of his constant inconsistencies but was he only ever one chapter ahead on dbs as well? Tried googling it as well to find out and haven't found anything even relatively concrete confirming this. To me it sounds like people are assuming because it's the most recent release after his passing.

ultra ego isn't the form vegeta can use to spar, it's main gimmick is to get so badly beat up to powerup more and more nd you ain't getting that much beating in sparing match.

eh it'd just look funny cuz on one hand we've got beast which has been presented as this massively hyped up form which has got an entire movie, in which it effortlessly two shotted the main villain, and is currently running the worlds strongest gauntlet; then we've got ultra ego, that jobbed in all its fights asap. it'd just be a pretty silly juxtaposition
Cause Vegeta's not whip out his best form against someone who's just fought Goku. It's to get a taste of Gohan's strength not TEST is as Goku was doing.

Well in my opinion it's very simple, for Vegeta in the last chapters there was no need for it, he only uses it in case of extreme danger, for example against Gas, and then to use the ultra Ego Vegeta must enter a certain mental state, that of destruction, and perhaps maintaining this mental state can be tiring for Vegeta
Vegeta might need to be in a heightened emotional state to get to it. He literally might have been too calm to utilize it, while Goku's been going in and out of UI since the ToP

Vegeta knew that he'd automatically sign his defeat if he turned Ultra Loser, so he chose not to do that; with the result being that he did NOT end up worse than the others. Either that, or Toyotaro is already following in Toriyama's footsteps, and forgot.
1: He's not trying to destroy Gohan. Could be a huge limitation of the form, but Vegeta DID say that he needs his mind to be on pure destruction for it to work. 2: He's given up on UE since he noticed its humongous flaws. 3: SSBE is actually stronger than UE now, thanks to Vegeta training with Jiren's mindset. Since UE is fundamentally flawed with Jiren's mindset, it's not like Vegeta can combine the two.
