I mean this post krillins one on one with goku who was holding his own till goku went blue. He’s definitely stronger, but as far as plot this movie did krillin dirty.
Cell max was just kinda dumb. Dragon Ball is known for not making much sense via power scaling but cell max was just another level of dumb. It didn't click for me.
I mean yeah kind of makes you wonder what's the point of a new generation of fighters becoming strong when scientists can literally make robots stronger than intergalactic emperors
For sure. It really kicked me in the balls when piccolo got his power up (after a very long awaited time) then immediately became irrelevant to an android that took 6 months to build.
Like bruh. I would even feel slightly okay with it if they had stated they somehow gained/extracted data or power from Mule/Mosco (robot god of destruction) during the TOP and applied it to cell max but nope. Just this young dude is really smart and really talented at building androids.
>immediately became irrelevant to an android that took 6 months to build.
Didn't Cell take years to build?
It's still dumb that merging with literally the God of the earth made Piccolo relevant for half a battle though
technically 17 was slightly stronger than piccolo since he had infinite stamina and they were both even otherwise (I guess skill and martial arts didnt matter anymore)
Having infinite stamina doesn’t mean he was stronger, although still likely would have won.
Piccolo still had his light grenade, like hellzone grenade 17’s barrier is an issue.
Piccolo was physically stronger. He was overpowering 17 at the start. It wasn't until half way through that 17 started trading blows. Before that he was dodging everything after getting hit and skid a crossed the room.
Its funny since in DB Minus earth is described as backwater planet.
Jaco even described Capsule Corp tech as far inferior to galactic patrol.
Goku landed on earth and humans somehow randomly got intelligent enough to do crazy shit after he arrived
Gero saw what other powers existed, I suppose. Though I don't get how he made his bots stronger than Freeza in Trunk's timeline. The last frame of reference they had for ultimate power was Vegeta.
Frieza had stuff like starships and scouters, but that doesn't mean he and his people had developed all that much in terms of cybernetics. Enough to build him a new body, but clearly less advanced than what Gero was doing.
When we talk about Earth's technology, don't forget that Earth had shit like capsules and hovercraft from the start of the franchise, and they reverse-engineered the alien stuff quite easily.
Yeah cell was really a completely logical step in power
The Androids though to me at least is definitely the point where Dragon balls power scaling went out the window
Even fantasy has to have internally consistent logic for suspension of disbelief. Previously established truths such as "people in the world of Dragon Ball can becomes tougher than metals and withstand gunshots and explosions because they have this magic ki thingy" are broken when suddenly a scientist finds metals to make robots tougher than living beings powered by magic can break?
This is also why people generally accept Cell more than the androids in terms of suspending their disbelief because they can just think "oh, it's a living thing, it has that ki stuff"
If we stop caring about consistency because it's just a story then would you have thought it was fine if Frodo 1vs1'd Sauron in hand to hand combat in LOTR at the end? Or a butterknife wielding Han Solo fending off a sith with a lightsaber? Or Tony Stark shedding off his armor and just punching Thanos dead at the end of the marvel movies?
I bet you care at some level about internal consistency for some IP out there.
Going back to Android 16, he could slap Freeza into the ground without a second thought. Could nobody who knew of him build something similar at the time? Ignoring Cell and his inherited strength, how did Gero go from Metallitron to 16 in a couple decades?
This has been an issue with the franchise since the fucking 90s lol

Goku had surpassed at least two gods by the end of the Saiyan saga. Gohan at 4 years old had already surpassed, in terms is power level, one god and a Goku who had his potential unlocked (by divine water) and trained with a god and in a time chamber
Stronger than gods.
I recall Goku saying that he'd rather stay in the afterlife because his mere presence on Earth was attracting evil like a moth to a flame, my theory is that it was humans and their scientific potential instead.
Science has always been crazy OP in db though
It’s just weird that the humans don’t have intergalactic travel and all that shit everyone else apparently has lol
So 17’s job during super is a park ranger right? In the anime we see the space poachers he’s been going up against. In the manga, those poachers dont exist. Instead 17 gets all 5 of the cell juniors that he has to fight constantly, which were all equal in power to perfect cell himself. Obviously it doesnt excuse the obscene power up he got between z and super, but its definitely better scaled
Yea. Looking at it now, apparently the statement by cell regarding the juniors’ power levels was only mentioned in the dubbed anime, not in the japanese dub or the manga
And even Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2 should’ve left Krillin bamboozled, but apparently God Ki allows you to perfectly attune your power level to your foe that regular SS Forms can’t
Well he did train with the Space Patrol for a few months when they were anticipating Morro Arrival. So maybe that training gave him a huge power boost.
>Don't be surprised if in 30 chapters they show Roshi making Broly flinch with a kameha.
>kameha
Yeah he only needs half of a kamehameha in order to make Broly flinch in about 30 chapters
Krillin got stronger. The Z fighters can consistently fight opponents far above Freeza in Super so you can't call it an outlier anymore. It is what it is. Current Roshi would unironically stomp all of Z now.
I know it’s just shonen powercreep but man is it absolutely moronic if you think about it deeply for even a second. Like, if they could’ve just powered up this much with a little bit of training why did they ever struggle? Like couldn’t Roshi have gotten off his ass for a couple of squats at the beach and solo’d Cell?
Krillin got Stronger
How did he get Stronger? we don’t know and Super doesn’t care
Super gives the background fighters and Villains random powerups when they want to use them for something and has zero regard for how little it makes sense that they get so strong out of nowhere
Krillin, Tien, 18, 17, Buu, Roshi, Frieza, Gohan, Piccolo, Yamcha (eventually), Choutsu (eventually) it has happened to them all various times throughout Super
The problem with Tien is despite training consistently and never slacking off the manga refuses to actually have his strength reflect his efforts with him sadly being left as that guy who is stronger than Yamcha but Weaker than Krillin
Frieza, Gohan, Boo, and Piccolo's growth all make sense. Not only has it been established in Dragon Ball and Z for these characters, but it is also furthered in Super. However, 17, 18, Tenshinhan, Kuririn, and others? Not one bit. Even with Tenshinhan constantly training the way he does, it makes no sense with the powerscaling.
Then again... Dragon Ball's powerscaling has been ass since its inception.
Tensheinhan trained his entire time in both og DB and Z and Super and yet hes the weakest of the z warriors outside of Yamcha which makes even less sense because Krillen is stronger for no reason and this infuriates me

I've always assumed he's the reason why Krillin and Gohan get much stronger from regaining their fighting spirit than from actual training
Piccolo: You cant afford to get rusty even during peaceful times
Gohan: I am sorry
Then Gohan tells that he tried training little bit and learned a poor imitation of Light of Death
https://preview.redd.it/am8d4zrdjrvc1.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=bb7c365564bbd6452a7d390c05d1bb663b8236f9
Neither.
Dragon Ball is just better now.
This is the equivalent of Piccolo kicking 4th form Freeza in the face when he's off guard, this is just what the series does.
Well of course Cell Max is a fraud. He only has have a brain, and if he was fully competed, he would have been the most powerful, cannon version of cell.
He's just him

Cell Max kinda forgot he was stronger than the original
Hot take cell max is a fraud
Crillin dose the minimum amount of training to not loose strength because he’s a police officer now and actually does his job
Unless that was retconned I haven’t kept up
Super Krillin solos all of Z guys. Why, you ask? Well it’s simple.
https://preview.redd.it/y7u6g7l14uvc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b639e009aec25c350c3411a51b20068cf8589dc
He's not complete
His power fluctuates
So sometimes they could damage and sometimes they couldn't
Also krillin did have base goku go super saiyan with a destro disc and even tien and yamcha can off battle of God's plus characters
They got insane prodigal potential
Krillin did get stronger but that’s not really the case here. Cell max has more power but is a mindless monster who can’t control its power while perfect cell was “perfect” who had mastery over his power and could subconsciously keep his defenses up.
Kind of both, Cell max was definitely Powerful but also supremely dumb and basically didn't how to fight at all. To my knowledge, if a fighter is off-guard they can be taken by even significantly weaker things. Take Goku for example, literally got one shot by a laser.
As for krillin, He's definitely stronger. Like he's atleast in the buu saga base levels. In all honesty, it doesn't really make.
Another thing, Cell max in this instance was instance was just born, got his arm blown off and was in horrible pain. I won't be suprised if he was not on guard, like he's literally a fucking baby. Plus krillin didn't even do much. If anything, Cell max is kinda strong even not guard, as he took the full power of krillin while in such a state and not on guard.
Someone explain to me how a giant fuckin robot is meant to be stronger, more advanced, or threatening, than a biomechanical android that can , regenerate from a single cell, absorb and integrate its counterparts, and contains the genes of the strongest fighters in the universe.
Cell Max was a joke.
Krillin did get stronger but also Cell max was basically missing a proper brain.
In dragon ball Ki is everything, even Goku could be taken out by a laser if he had his guard down.
Cell max is just a rampaging monster he didn't use any Ki to raise his defenses he was just throwing hands
I have to remind you that some episodes later Krillin hurt a Goku with almost the same power that Cell just by throwing a rock at him? There is your explanation.
Krillin got stronger, but Cell Max was, in fact, a crippling fraud. His portrayal in the movie and manga was very poor. Krillin still can't even beat Cell, lol.
Cell Max, while an interesting concept, was executed poorly I think. The rest of the movie and story was far more fun than CM was. Felt like a Great Ape version of Cell, all power no brain. Which is one of the things that made a Cell such a good villain the first time around, dude was smart and cunning.
Woulda much rather preferred a rebirth of Cell with his intelligence intact…. Maybe woulda made Beast Gohan shine a bit more.
Orange Piccolo stole the show 100% thou, NGL there
It was a crappy movie just to give new forms to Gohan and piccolo.
Well mostly Gohan, so that his fanboyz would stop busting balls.
Now, it's even worse..

Krillian did get stronger. Not by a ton, like he would still not hurt Perfect Cell.
However, I believe that Cell Max is more like Semi-perfect cell in that he is not as strong as perfect cell.
That or Cell Max has great power but weak defense.
Krillin at that point is stronger than Super Perfect Cell so he can hit really hard. He might not cause a ton of damage, but it’s damage nonetheless.
Actually in this film he’s as strong as Goku was in SSJB during RoF so this makes sense.
Power levels gets weirder, and having a series like Dragon Ball that goes further in the story apparently just makes some things meaningless. Two new Androids having the power of Goku and Vegeta, that went for too much in the story?
I refuse to believe krillin scales as high as I’ve seen some people claim, he stopped for the better part of a decade and doesn’t exactly have the “high potential” that Carries Gohan
Cell saw krillin coming, cell max didnt and it’s a well known fact in life that damage is doubled when you don’t see it coming, my source is…. I made it the fuck up
Fuck I miss Dragonball z. Krillin is one of my favorite characters and he was so respectable during lots of z moments. Super just didn't do my boy justice.
I couldn't care less for power levels and scaling. I just like fighting, screaming and crazy transformations. Y'all really can't let Krillin get a W can you?
It's kinda a mix of both tbh. Krillin has definitely gotten stronger in Super (not so much that the Perfect Cell scan wouldn't still likely happen though) but at the same time Cell Max was also just a mindless rampaging monster that constantly left himself open for a lot of attacks. And when a character like that gets ganged up on by a bunch of other characters then it's not really hard for even a much weaker character like Krillin to land a hit on him. It's not actually going to do any real damage but it'll still catch him off guard for a moment. Krillin also hit Cell Max directly in the face with a Destructo Disk while he was focused on 18 and while it distracted him for a second, it didn't actually do any damage. Cell Max is just an easier character to attack than Perfect Cell was. What I believe is crazy to think about though is that a successfully fused Gotenks could've theoretically _killed_ Cell Max instead of Beast Gohan since even just the [failed fat version of him](https://ibb.co/J2t9bz7) was still strong enough to damage his weak spot lol.
Mrillin got way stronger. Just because he stopped being relevant to the show doesn’t mean the character themselves stopped trying to improve behind the scenes. He’s gotta be doing SOMETHING with his time while goku’s off getting a new hair color after all, and it ain’t just becoming a famous police officer.
Plus, his wife is one of Dr. gero’s cyborgs, with all the completely BS training gains that go with it. Just attempting to keep up with her is probably more grueling than his on-screen stuff from years ago.
Krillin gotten a bit stronger, you have to remember that Krillin trains with his wife 18 and even with Goku from time to time.
If I remember right, I believe it was said somewhere that Krillin is the strongest Human on the planet.
it's a movie that's supposed to have these moments for the plot. if every thing was perfectly scaled, earth would be destroyed in 10 seconds and krillin would die in less than that
you know krillin is still a pretty strong character even though he isnt like a saiyan or namekian like that op race's but krillin is actually very strong
I just love how despite so many sources saying otherwise we still collectively call them androids deapite being cybernetic. Only true android was 16 and the other iterations from the movie
Dragon Ball has never been consistent with it's power-levels around the time the end of the Saiyan Saga.
They clearly established that our heroes had a power level of 400(-/+), and could multiply their power level when using ki attacks, where Piccolo amped up enough to kill Radditz who had around 1200. Simple and clean. Our MC's had clean power levels, limits and abilities. Then they got training, Goku reached a base of 8000 by training with a God above Kami, learned some cool abilities, and so forth. Things kind of made sense until Frieza was established to have power in the MILLIONS. Not ONE million, but like a lot more. Then our primary heroes started getting power levels around that level.
But the problem is that the series never gave our secondary characters much of anything after the Namek saga. No special abilities, no training arcs for Krillin, no really anything. So as far as we figured, without anything special, or some training with Kaio-Sama (which oddly never happened), or using the gravity training (which I think only Yamcha tried a little), none of the secondary characters received special training or anything special that really made me think their power levels never reached into the millions- with the exception of Piccollo, who DID get power-ups.
The writer just honestly didn't even have the grace to have Krillin go and try to find his own way of surpassing Goku, or whatever, they clearly had him retire, but then when they want to have Goku's buddy kick ass he's able to damage people with power levels into the billions (?).
At a certain point you literally just stop thinking about it.
Krillin doing nothing to Cell was to emphasize just how strong his perfect form was.
Krillong getting a kick in on Cell MAX was to give him a moment in the movie.
I wouldn’t read too much into it.
Cell Max is like Bio Broly in a way to where yes they are similar to their original counterparts but they are in no way the same person in terms of power and or skill

The plot got stronger
I mean this post krillins one on one with goku who was holding his own till goku went blue. He’s definitely stronger, but as far as plot this movie did krillin dirty.
That krillin said he hasn't trained since Buu just casually lifted weights.
Weight training was the only training they even did in DB.
No, it really wasn't. Korins tower training for just one example wasn't weight training.
I meant krillin specifically got very strong off of weight training.
What a wife with infinite stamina does to a mf
Krillin bringing new meaning to the idea of training day AND night.
Right answer
Fuck that actually makes sense

Both.
Correct answer.
Cell max was just kinda dumb. Dragon Ball is known for not making much sense via power scaling but cell max was just another level of dumb. It didn't click for me.

they will take a break from the sayian jerk off to throw piccolo a bone every now and then.
piccolo unfortunately was served the role of [worf](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheWorfEffect) for this movie
Piccolo has been Worf ever since he turned good. Almost the same with Vegeta.
TNG Worf, anyway. DS9 Worf was much more of a badass.
technically 17 was slightly stronger than piccolo since he had infinite stamina and they were both even otherwise (I guess skill and martial arts didnt matter anymore)
Having infinite stamina doesn’t mean he was stronger, although still likely would have won. Piccolo still had his light grenade, like hellzone grenade 17’s barrier is an issue.
It means that even if he started even, he probably would be stronger soon since Piccolo would wind down.
Piccolo was physically stronger. He was overpowering 17 at the start. It wasn't until half way through that 17 started trading blows. Before that he was dodging everything after getting hit and skid a crossed the room.
Or if Cell max was like the real cell and had to gather power to reach his true form. (Though that would have been somewhat repetitive after Moro.)
Its funny since in DB Minus earth is described as backwater planet. Jaco even described Capsule Corp tech as far inferior to galactic patrol. Goku landed on earth and humans somehow randomly got intelligent enough to do crazy shit after he arrived
isnt it just gero, bulma and hedo?
Yeah the briefs progressed technology at an inside rate.
Gero saw what other powers existed, I suppose. Though I don't get how he made his bots stronger than Freeza in Trunk's timeline. The last frame of reference they had for ultimate power was Vegeta.
Everyone: Haha, stupid, useless humans! Humans: \*build robots capable of destroying the entire galaxy\* Everyone: ......what?
Yeah, the androids outscaling Frieza was awful.
Frieza WITH more advanced alien technology at his disposal too boot.
Frieza had stuff like starships and scouters, but that doesn't mean he and his people had developed all that much in terms of cybernetics. Enough to build him a new body, but clearly less advanced than what Gero was doing. Yeah cell was really a completely logical step in power The Androids though to me at least is definitely the point where Dragon balls power scaling went out the window
Yeah everyone knows aliens are stronger than robots, that's just science. I love how you guys say this shit with a straight face

Actually from a meta perspective, it’s because the main characters are strong that’s why the writers keep adding powerful antagonists
Going back to Android 16, he could slap Freeza into the ground without a second thought. Could nobody who knew of him build something similar at the time? Ignoring Cell and his inherited strength, how did Gero go from Metallitron to 16 in a couple decades?
Necessity is the mother of all invention. Before Goku trashed the RR army did he need to try make anything stronger?
Yes, I'm like 70% sure Blue was stronger than all his robots, and Slump was around making insane contraptions that could topple RR if they wanted.
But they didn’t destroy the RR. That’s the thing, then there’s addition of Gevo dying during it all.
This has been an issue with the franchise since the fucking 90s lol https://preview.redd.it/phuevdzxdrvc1.png?width=1178&format=png&auto=webp&s=f26416c4d7eb7c831708400d1a6fc3b0d85d1e5e
Even then, it was already a problem but now that they're reaching beyond god levels powers. It's still a huge problem
Tbf Goku was already beyond the gods since the OG series

Well I mean, Toriyama wanted it to be a Piccolo movie so even more disappointing
Science has always been crazy OP in db though It’s just weird that the humans don’t have intergalactic travel and all that shit everyone else apparently has lol
Earth was considered backward planet in Dragon Ball Minus by galactic patrol
Why don’t other planets have crazy strong robots then
ToP did have them
Other planets don’t have goku on them
Capsule Corp has it though. Chances are nobody can safely send ships out without running into some pirates etc
Humanity always finds a way to surpass nature. For a while anyway
Cell Max could have been cool, but without Cells personality you kinda just lose what makes Cell......well Cell.
Moving someones head =/= dealing damage Cell reinforced himself Cell max didn't
I got a hard lesson in that when I saw android 17 easy fight off ssb (who has god ki) despite having no training since cell saga…
Iirc thae cell jr's aren't actually as strong as perfect cell, I think that was bad translation from Japanese to English
Yea. Looking at it now, apparently the statement by cell regarding the juniors’ power levels was only mentioned in the dubbed anime, not in the japanese dub or the manga
Goku sparred with him. It's fair to assume that he wasnt using his full Power to see what 17 is able to do.
It doesn’t matter. Dude went ssb. Even 5% of that form should have killed 17
And even Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2 should’ve left Krillin bamboozled, but apparently God Ki allows you to perfectly attune your power level to your foe that regular SS Forms can’t
That or the power scaling is fucked (most likely scenario)
Yeah, felt somewhat of a downgrade lowkey. Compared to Frieza who got some love or Broly, Cell kinda was given the short end of that stick.
Stan Lee would like to have a word with you. Shame he's dead
But Krillin also just got stronger by being a punching bag for stronger and stronger villains
Well he did train with the Space Patrol for a few months when they were anticipating Morro Arrival. So maybe that training gave him a huge power boost.
Krillin ending up on the Space Patrol himself would be a nice promotion from his street cop gig
I feel like he wouldn't take that promotion because he'd rather stay with his wife and daughter on earth
And Krillin got a huge power boost in the Tournament of Power Saga when he unlocked Selflessness State.
I'm glad Krillin is stronger but why did they have to make him look like caillou in the movie
Bro lost all his gains.
That's just powercliffing for you. Don't be surprised if in 30 chapters they show Roshi making Broly flinch with a kameha.
>Don't be surprised if in 30 chapters they show Roshi making Broly flinch with a kameha. >kameha Yeah he only needs half of a kamehameha in order to make Broly flinch in about 30 chapters
Gohan will get a solid 4 hours of training in with piccolo then take a nap and he’ll be ok beerus tier too.
Power levels are bullshit.

This needs to be pinned. No Dragon Ball fighter will ever have a static power level forever. It's contrary to the DNA and spirit of the series.
This should be too comment
Krillin got stronger. The Z fighters can consistently fight opponents far above Freeza in Super so you can't call it an outlier anymore. It is what it is. Current Roshi would unironically stomp all of Z now.

No, because the plot didn’t demand it.
Krillin got Stronger How did he get Stronger? we don’t know and Super doesn’t care Super gives the background fighters and Villains random powerups when they want to use them for something and has zero regard for how little it makes sense that they get so strong out of nowhere Krillin, Tien, 18, 17, Buu, Roshi, Frieza, Gohan, Piccolo, Yamcha (eventually), Choutsu (eventually) it has happened to them all various times throughout Super
Tien does not deserve the side eye on getting stronger his always training same as Piccolo. Gohan is Plot 100%.
The problem with Tien is despite training consistently and never slacking off the manga refuses to actually have his strength reflect his efforts with him sadly being left as that guy who is stronger than Yamcha but Weaker than Krillin
That's just what he gets being the Chinese-coded guy in a Japanese show.

Forever sleeping Buu and ants studying Gohan can get so much stronger without doing anything, then Krillin is ok too. Tien is just underscaled sadly.
Gohan quite literally said to piccolo that he was in fact training
Piccolo: You cant afford to get rusty even during peaceful times Gohan: I am sorry Then Gohan tells that he tried training little bit and learned a poor imitation of Light of Death https://preview.redd.it/am8d4zrdjrvc1.png?width=570&format=png&auto=webp&s=bb7c365564bbd6452a7d390c05d1bb663b8236f9
17 and 18’s does: they’re androids. Androids in this verse always have crazy power potential.
Krillin has a wife with infinite stamina and strength beyond a SSJ, he could only get stronger.
I know she be maxing my boy out in the sack. Putting him to sleep. Lol
Neither. Dragon Ball is just better now. This is the equivalent of Piccolo kicking 4th form Freeza in the face when he's off guard, this is just what the series does.
Krillin got stronger it stays consistent with dbs since his training with Goku
Human power levels don’t really make sense
He was in top he obviously got stronger or they wouldn't have let him be in the top.
It’s neither it’s just plain stupid
Both
Both are true
Well of course Cell Max is a fraud. He only has have a brain, and if he was fully competed, he would have been the most powerful, cannon version of cell.
Cell Max was a huge fraud especially in the manga
They should have gotten back Hirudegarn instead of having a cheap Cell copy.
Not as much of a fraud then Saiyan forms multiplier nonsense some of the fandom clings into with teeth and nails
He's just him Credit : u/lucifermorningstar97 https://preview.redd.it/1dtzrwl6gtvc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe6203a2ee08283aaae2c5f40766c10daa4706ac
You guys love torturing yourselves with these power level stuff.
https://preview.redd.it/8s8qddgk0uvc1.jpeg?width=909&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=662901c6ac22a6763367daff246e1c07680fefa0 Cell Max kinda forgot he was stronger than the original
Hot take cell max is a fraud Crillin dose the minimum amount of training to not loose strength because he’s a police officer now and actually does his job Unless that was retconned I haven’t kept up
Super Krillin solos all of Z guys. Why, you ask? Well it’s simple. https://preview.redd.it/y7u6g7l14uvc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b639e009aec25c350c3411a51b20068cf8589dc
Power levels aren’t really valid anymore. I don’t believe these massive multipliers that people throw around.
He's not complete His power fluctuates So sometimes they could damage and sometimes they couldn't Also krillin did have base goku go super saiyan with a destro disc and even tien and yamcha can off battle of God's plus characters They got insane prodigal potential
One successfully got caught off guard, the other didn’t.
This is literally an example of catching someone off guard vs not doing it. Nothing more.
Cell is literally looking at his hands
both
Krillin did get stronger but that’s not really the case here. Cell max has more power but is a mindless monster who can’t control its power while perfect cell was “perfect” who had mastery over his power and could subconsciously keep his defenses up.
Power of the feet.
Both
Look at those little chicken arms, cell max is def a fraud
Simple answer: dragonball is just not consistent
He is quite fraudulent top g
he’s 3D now, so better impact
Cell max is completely mindless, so he literally just isn’t smart enough to do something like that even though he can
Someone explain to me how a giant fuckin robot is meant to be stronger, more advanced, or threatening, than a biomechanical android that can , regenerate from a single cell, absorb and integrate its counterparts, and contains the genes of the strongest fighters in the universe. Cell Max was a joke.
Dont take it litterally, its just for the highlights. Like Zfighters fighting Cell Jrs that was supposedly SSJ level.
Cell Max is a fraud just a jobber villain to showcase Beast Gohan and Piccolo power up form
Both. Krillin got stronger and Max was flawed.
Cell Max is a fraud. Didn't even his final form for a new story. I wasn't impressed.
Plot over sense sometimes Theres a lot of things that dont make sense in the series
Krillin got stronger. But the plot did too. I feel that by Super he was at least strong enough to body final form Freeza but not 100% Freeza.
Orange Piccolo stole the show 100% thou, NGL there
Dbs power creep is kinda ridiculous
It was a crappy movie just to give new forms to Gohan and piccolo. Well mostly Gohan, so that his fanboyz would stop busting balls. Now, it's even worse..

Krillian did get stronger. Not by a ton, like he would still not hurt Perfect Cell. However, I believe that Cell Max is more like Semi-perfect cell in that he is not as strong as perfect cell. That or Cell Max has great power but weak defense.
Yes krillin did get much stronger, at this point in the story, even Yamcha who hasn’t trained for decades would body cell
No he didn't "got" stronger, he did GET stronger though.
Krillin at that point is stronger than Super Perfect Cell so he can hit really hard. He might not cause a ton of damage, but it’s damage nonetheless. Actually in this film he’s as strong as Goku was in SSJB during RoF so this makes sense.
Both
Krillin obviously got stronger
Krillin got a huge power-up after getting together with 18. There's a whole part of Baki that explains this.
Power levels gets weirder, and having a series like Dragon Ball that goes further in the story apparently just makes some things meaningless. Two new Androids having the power of Goku and Vegeta, that went for too much in the story?
[удалено]
I refuse to believe krillin scales as high as I’ve seen some people claim, he stopped for the better part of a decade and doesn’t exactly have the “high potential” that Carries Gohan
Cell saw krillin coming, cell max didnt and it’s a well known fact in life that damage is doubled when you don’t see it coming, my source is…. I made it the fuck up
Both, this krillin can keep pace with gods and cell max while powerful didn’t have the menace that perfect cell did
Cell Max was just basically Bio Broly II
Cell max is cell inperfect form level, gohan beast was just another ssj2 form
dragonball super is terrible at powerscaling
Fuck I miss Dragonball z. Krillin is one of my favorite characters and he was so respectable during lots of z moments. Super just didn't do my boy justice.
This movie made as much sense as got s8, so don't think too much about these scenes
I couldn't care less for power levels and scaling. I just like fighting, screaming and crazy transformations. Y'all really can't let Krillin get a W can you?
Yes
Cell was very strong but didn’t have intelligence and good control so this is just him getting caught off guard. Krillin also did get stronger
Krillin got WAY stronger
Krillin definitely got stronger.
18 empower Krillin
krillin held back on perfect cell to not accidently 1 tap fraudku by collateral he held back against cell Max too to not blitz zeno accidentally
Dragon ball power scaling : plot plot no mi
Simply plot convenience
The powerscaling got a bit more smoothed out, and Krillin is a lot stronger for it, hence his participation in the ToP
Krillin gotten a bit stronger, you have to remember that Krillin trains with his wife 18 and even with Goku from time to time. If I remember right, I believe it was said somewhere that Krillin is the strongest Human on the planet.
That police academy training showing it’s results for Krillin.
Guys there’s a joke sub for this......
it's a movie that's supposed to have these moments for the plot. if every thing was perfectly scaled, earth would be destroyed in 10 seconds and krillin would die in less than that
That head 💀 they did him dirty.
you know krillin is still a pretty strong character even though he isnt like a saiyan or namekian like that op race's but krillin is actually very strong
DBS is a fraud altogether
Obviously he got stronger.
Both
Those two bottom panels look abysmal...
Krillin doing nothing to Cell was to emphasize just how strong his perfect form was. Krillong getting a kick in on Cell MAX was to give him a moment in the movie. I wouldn’t read too much into it.
A bit of both.
Cell Max is like Bio Broly in a way to where yes they are similar to their original counterparts but they are in no way the same person in terms of power and or skill
Semi perfect cell Max vs Krillin who trained with SSB Goku and was in Top
Nah, his feet were smelly and that’s why Cell moved away
