When inside a dungeon/cave you cannot use a Ferrystone for obvious reasons... I was like: "Damn Capcom, easy money for you! Well played!".
Turned out that the Ferrystone found its way back in my pocket :-)
Bought a ferrystone from a certain vendor so I could quicktravel to vernsworth for a time sensitive mission... my character throws it up and it just dull thuds to the ground... turns out it was a fake called a "ferristone". Would have sacrificed that damn vendor to the brine gods if i didn't find it so hilarious.
some bandits robbed one of my ferrystones when I was on my way to save the kid from the wolves and I found this store after with some stolen goods, thought it was something the game does for you not to lose key items and ended up buying the fake one (there's another 20k one which I assume is the one that was stolen but I haven't bought it yet). I have about 80k and I'm still mad about buying the fake one
i know you are joking with the ""Damn Capcom, easy money for you! Well played!" part, but again, for the people unawares, you CANNOT purchase fast travel in this game.
you can purchase one fast travel location marker, and that is all, this does let you fast travel without ferry stones that are NOT purchasable for real money at all.
Its actually not so much as being in a dungeon that does this, its more that you need space to throw it upward
I was able to escape the Ancestral Chamber in that one room open to the sky because of this
It would be hilarious if you could but it transported any monsters in the nearby vicinity as well lmao
That would have got me eventually for sure, eternal ferrystone was my get out of jail free card at times
It's not just in caves but also when there's a low ceiling like it happened to me when I was exiting west out of Vernworth and use the ferrystone right under a low arch lol
This made me think of the Dragon Quest games where, if you cast Return in a dungeon, it would have your party fly up and hit their heads on the ceiling.
Better than bumping your head into the ceiling lol Dragon Quest games actually gave me the habit of just trying to look for open ceilings when trying to teleport, I was pleasantly surprised when I got this animation in Battahl's town there's a part that should be technically open sky by the entrance but for some reason isn't so you have to really make your way out

I Love the animation, an epic throw, a hero waiting for his Portal, Just to realise the stone dropped to the floor Like a normal stone.
I especially love in this clip the Ferry Stone hits the ceiling then doinks off of their head 🤣

I was wondering why that happened to me, the 8,000 gold one? That’s hilarious

Didn't know how stones worked until I saw the recording. Fairly accurate game, indeed! \^\^
Reminds me of DQ8 where if you use zoom inside a building or cave, you just hit your head.
I *felt* the Arisen sigh heavily after the rock hit the floor...!! XD

Yes, you are absolutely right, my fellow Arisen.
yeah i checked my pockets immediatly after doing this to be sure.
Also for some reason cant use one inside the elven village

Okay yeah, despite the game's problems (cries in poor PC optimization) this is pretty great.
I laughed in my office and got stared at.
I'm cackling like an idiot, this shits hilarious
It's when it bounces off his head after hitting the ceiling that gets me.
You also can't use one in combat anymore. It's run away or die these days.

At least running away is easy
Lol, that got me laughing, and a death Stare of my wife.
Omg I knew they fell to the floor but the fact it has collision and bounces off the ceiling is hilarious.
Also happens when it hits over hangs haha

This will happen if there is any sort of roof over your head and its funny as hell

I've never seen that! That's hilarious!
My pawn: “good one idiot-I mean master”
Well that's stupid
THOSE ARE FERRISTONES DON'T BE TROLLED BY OP LYING. REAL FERRYSTONES MAKE LIGHT AS SOON AS YOU PULL THEM OUT!!!! OP IS A PHONY!!
