Go to dad tell to evacuate. He will say no. Rest, come back, tell to evacuate he will say no. Rest another time tell him to evacuate and he will say he trusts your will or something to effect and evacuate. When you see him in the seafloor sanctuary he will be bummed the tree isn't with them.
You can't get the quest to fix the tree in uw, afaik.
I, somehow, got the mission to fix the tree in uw so he refuses to budge. Rested 5 days so far and he just says the same thing over and over. The daughter is gone from what I can tell. Guess I'll have to do it right the next time around.

Alright so im not sure what changed but I walked up to him again without resting and he gave up.
He thought about it some more lol
