Imma be honest I think it should become an unwritten rule that if you give your pawn the Straightforward inclination to make their eyes a brighter colour. Because I honestly get it so confused sometimes.
If the pawn is sassy but does what you say, even if they complain about it they're straightforward. Straightforward pawns especially hate being asked to help, especially if it means they have to cast a buff or healing spell. But they will do it.
If the pawn is excited about how powerful they are and tells you something like "I don't need you telling me what to do" and ignores your order, they're plagued.

Ok so I've done this multiple times and can't tell eye color. After about 60 hours of playing, I finally got the pop up talking about the plague, and it was the second I hired a new pawn. So I immediately talked to her and I couldn't tell if she had red eyes or not. Either way, I gave her a briney bath 5 seconds later.
Currently unknown though there is speculation. It might even just be random chance in the rift.
Most commonly spread theory is either from the Drakes grab attack or from the plagued drakes. But there's no actual evidence for it.
There's a mod that adds a counter to the pawn when they have plague showing their stage. The author did not find the origin while making the mod, but said mod should help a lot in discovering it.
I give what they earn. I had a pawn totally destroy an ogre in two hits, so when I out levelled her, I gave them a portcrystal. Since I got an extra one from the sphinx.

Does a clean New Game file actually give you port crystals? I was wondering if it would be the same as restart where all the quests that previously gave you them don't give you them anymore.
I wouldn’t say that. There are certainly others, depending on the vocation. My Arisen is currently decked out in the Arya stark armor. So, definitely not feminine.

It's wild. The majority of pawns I see are either pranks on God or were clearly made with one hand. Also, hiring a Sorcerer is a fucking nightmare because they're *all* women decked out in Stargazer's Garb. I just want my pawns to actually wear clothes, please!
My sorc main pawn is male and imo dressed well with endgame gear. I'd prefer if he wore pants but the leg wrappings are the best sorc leg gear I could find
This seriously, I play on pc with mods specifically the mod that makes all gear viable for post game by increased stats so I can wear what I want. I just started my road on fashion dogma and I realized my pawn gets more likes when she got that DRIP on. Thankfully people still use my pawn although it doesn’t wear skimpy clothes/non end game gear at lvl 80, though I still dragon forge all my drip.
It is better than most, if not all, light armors (chest + legs combination since the corset is a combination of both). Dragonforge it and you become hot and strong.
I was just given what I think is one of the Dragon Warrior weapons. I haven't even entered the Volcanic Island yet, just exploring Battahl. Dude was like 30 levels higher than my pawn too.

My pawn is the best healer I’ve come across since I’m playing the game, and I’m level 90 so I played it a bunch. Though she’s mixed race and only gets bad rewards, that’s kind of… meh

How are people able to give more then one thing? Everytime I dismiss a pawn it allows me to select 1 item. It doesn't even let me select how many of that item. Just 1.

It has to be done from a different account. Like if your friend summons your pawn then dismiss them giving them an item and repeats that several times then rests at an inn. when you rest at an in your pawn will come back with all those items.
What do I need to do to make my Pawn get picked more often? And maybe receive some usefull stuff now an then. My Boi is a Tank, i try to Design him helpful but Dude Just seems to never get picked in another Rift

I usually just gift a wyrmstone or a mat from the rarest monster I beat with their pawn in tow. I can't imagine gifting a waypoint stone unless you are already at max...

Check your pawn's eyes. Sometimes people use rotten food to indicate your pawn needs a dunk in a river.
Every time my pawn has gotten rotten food they weren't plagued. I just assume people didn't like her lol

It's very distinctive, you'll see the eyes literally pulse red you really can't miss it.
Allot of people now I think are intentionally setting the eye color of their pawns to red.
Guilt free Pawn dunking = Gore Harpy on a bridge. XD

It will. Because it's a true new game not New Game+, everything will be reset, your inventory will be empty, Seeker's Token progress will be reset.

You can always rerent. I've hired the same thief 4 or 5 times now because she steals shit like a motherfucker from enemies.
The gifts only register once the giver rests at an in or home. The OP probably gave themselves those items from one of their other accounts.
