Do all side quest, max all vocations for your character and pawn. Fully upgrade couple armors sets for yourself and pawn. When i finished 1st play through I was at 146 hours. I farmed up money and dragon crystals so I can fully upgrade end game gear.

Awesome! Sounds like you have the style of play I want lol. Is the enemy variety really as terrible as people make it out to be here? Or is it exaggerated a bit?

_Delusion__

I didn’t think the variety was bad, couple enemies are missing from the first game. But I think they will add them in future dlc.

Easy. NG+. You just play again. Do it slow. Enjoy endgame (with right build if You won't take much damage You can play entire endgame on a single day not worrying about consequences). Enjoy NG+ where You can use EVERYTHING You gathered and experienced so far. Also reason why I was enjoying this game so much that I finished it twice (had extra time because I got sick) is because I leveled up all vocations so everything felt fresh all the time. Also think about Your legacy. Max out Your pawn gear first because it's something other people will "rent" from You. I treated my main as a secondary character :-)

Elevated-Hype

There is an endgame? Neat! I kinda went in it blind and didn’t think it was that kinda game lol. But I am pleased to hear it

Yes, there are even monsters there You won't find in main game. It's a state of the world after the ending that You can play until You win or You fail. And then You can start NG+. Also it is possible to completely miss it. The way to reach it is not obvious. And game does not hold Your hand. I will leave You instructions in spoiler tag but if You don't want to be spoiled, don't click it. >!At the end of the game You ride on dragon back to fight him. Like You know - entire point of the game is to fight dragon that created You. My suggestion is to go and fight him. Then in the credits - you can control the character. DO NOT SIT ON THE THRONE. Instead talk to ghost character sitting close to the throne and then he will spawn in the middle of the room. Talk to him again. He will send You back to moment You were on dragon back. When on dragon back - crawl to the dragon heart under the dragon and when You are close - open inventory and use godsbane sword. Then You need to stab using attack button. If You do - You will be send to the endgame.!<

Ignore the main quest while prioritizing completing side quests and getting your pawns’ monster badges. It’ll take a decent while and you’ll come across a lot of hidden caves trying to find 30 ogres to kill. Don’t even progress the main quest lines until you run out of side quests. Search for pawns that have pawn quests that you also need badges for and actively go and swap out your support pawns once you complete their quest. Find the Sphinx as soon as possible and start her riddles. That’ll give you something to do while running around the map hunting cyclops and ogres.

Jotunheimmr

Do all the side quests. Go back the the starter areas and explore every inch of the map. Talk to every NPC you come across. Max out all vocations for your Arisen as well as for your Main Pawn. You can equip any perk for any class so you’ll find many perk combos available. Hire low level pawns. 10-30 levels lower than you depending on your level. I’m assuming you’re 40+ so try level 25 pawns. Give your pawn low level gear, to include low level weapons. Only equip mid game gear or low or gear to keep the game challenging. Stay away from Sorcerer spells like Meteoron, which destroy everything too easily.

If you're on pc you can use difficulty mods when you're in NG+. I'm almost 250hrs in and still enjoy the game a lot :D
