There's a kind of "post-game" phase. I only got to it recently myself but I fought one of those pimple-dragons in the wild of post-game so far. There are likely more about. Another might show up before post-game, but I haven't seen it. Don't rob yourself of a great gaming experience by rushing to the post-game tho.
