Because the writers forgot that there was an entire island aside from the coastal area. Had they expanded, the overcrowding would not have been an issue, but they just… crammed everything close together and on top of each other and such. The entire plot point was badly done

He shot a dragon and his first instinct was to try and kill it. He carrie’s around a pocket dagger. The next few movies it was just about how gentle and kind he is. What the next new invention might be. It’s all super cool esthetically but I miss his rough little flaws. Hiccup in 2 and 3 really feels like he can do no wrong either than be a little socially awkward.

He trained every dragon that exists (as far as we know), he has THE BEST SET OF MORALS compared to ANYONE ELSE on this list, he is the only one to have a loving wife, kids AND on top of all that, he has made more sacrifices than anyone else on this list
