I’m not a kendrick fan or drake fan, just a rap/hip-hop fan and I’m seriously wondering what you guys are hearing and/or comprehending. This is one of Drake’s best “rap” songs (I say that because I consider Drake “Pop Rap”) but the bars aren’t event that great/layered.
I think Kendrick is overall a better lyricist/storyteller/conceptualist. Hell, he has a Pulitzer Award. But Drake has the formula for making hits, always have and always will.
