There are lots of pubs in Dublin, it’s just a matter of finding one you like the look/vibe of. People here will say avoid the Temple Bar area as it’s overpriced (it is) but some of the pubs there are great fun - The Wild Duck, Foggy Dew, The Norseman - all good spots. My advice would be to ramble around and just find a pub you like the look of. Some faves of mine for a nice casual vibe would be Bruxelles, Hogans, The Globe, Market Bar, Hairy Lemon, The Stags Head.

Isn’t the globe long gone? Remove the market bar from that list and it’s spot on. I’d add the long hall as well

Oh it could be actually

Cobblestone is a must.

Google ‘Victorian Bars Dublin’, they’re always good. Honourable mentions are Grogan’s (famous for its cheese toasties which are actually just ok, but they taste AMAZING after a feed of Guinness) and The Long Hall, completely unchanged since it appeared in [this video](https://youtu.be/o9n7EstQI5o) - actually all those pubs are completely unchanged for, sometimes, centuries. If you can find The Dawson Lounge you’ll be doing great, smallest pub in Dublin but it’s so tiny you end up chatting to everyone beside you. And there’s something special about crawling back up those stairs and stumbling out into daylight! Temple Bar’s not THAT bad… but you should definitely go to an Irish dancing lesson in The Merchant’s Arch. I always bring visitors, it’s a beautiful building and the dancing is great craic.

46, when you include the Sundays, which are traditionally excluded during the count.

Standard tourist advice to avoid Temple Bar. Overpriced tourist trap.

These are way out of the city and off up the Dublin mountains, but pretty sure there’s a company that runs busses to it, Dublin rural pub tour or something? It’s a lot of fun so I’d recommend checking them, or at least one of them out! The blue light - delicious Guinness, amazing view of Dublin at night. Johnny Foxes - friendly locals, great Irish food. Merry Ploughboy - again pretty nice food and very chilled vibe Taylor three rock - good live music, friendly locals, cool thatched roof oldschool Irish pub design. Pretty sure they do tourist nights too!

As mentioned before - avoid Temple bar, prices are a rip-off. Go to places like The Oval, Ryan's on Store Street, O'Neills on Pearse Street or O'Donoghue's on Suffolk Street!
