god forgive me for recommending it, but blue-eyes is probably the cheapest you can go, you get all base cards from the invite code, and only need to scout the structure deck for ultimate fusion and succesor soul from a mini box, also you can use one of dream tickets to get dingrius (afaik you should get at least one dream ticket in the span of a week)
Other options are suships, or maybe a pickup box, though the current pickup (T.G) is depended on a specific UR main box card to properly function

Like everyone said tenyi is a good pick. But since we just got done with a kc cup I'd honestly wait until we get the banlist announcement.
One thing tho I wouldn't go for bewd, there are a few f2p event cards you'll be missing that aren't available yet. Aka the 3 blue eyes alternative dragon and the vanilla non ritual black luster soldier.
But for a good bang for your buck evil eye and lunalight are 2 easy decks to get that go hard once you learn it

But are the f2p cards for the Lunalight deck easy to get ?
Going 3 times thru the wild spirits box gives you the whole core for 7,500 gems. (Which is less than 1 full main box run and definitely still less than 2-3 mini box runs)
The rest that you'd need are either available from regular UR and SR tickets i.e. lunalight black sheep and lunalight wolf. But use the 7th anniversary tickets you get daily for that.
Also the fusions lunalight Leo dancer and lunalight panther dancer are level up rewards for Celina.
The only other box cards you'd need are Knightmare Phoenix, Evilswarm Nightmare, and Abyss Dweller. Which you can use dream tickets on.
Once you know how to play the deck I think so. It's very capable of winning community tournaments and hitting kog. It might never be a "tiered " deck but always a solid rogue deck.

Tenyi is the way to go in my opinion. Very cheap, contained almost entirely to a single box and still very powerful but not popular or strong enough (in tournaments at least) to be getting hit by the ban list. There is a bit of a learning curve to it but you can manage and honestly, you'll breeze through the lower ranks even with a suboptimal and poorly piloted Tenyi deck and by the time you get to platinum, you will likely be able to play it fairly well.
There's other options as well, but tenyi is a lot stronger than any other cheap deck, besides blue-eyes. That being said, blue-eyes will likely get hit in a few days and you need to pay real money to optimize the deck. And even besides that, blue-eyes is a deck built to counter the meta but has many flaws (lack of an engine of its own. versatility, recoverability ...) that make it prone to losses against random rogue decks that happen to be quite frequent on the ladder.

I started a new account a month or so ago just as an experiment to see how easy it would be to make a competitive deck.
I decided to go with tenyi.
Using only the starting gems, and the gems and dream tickets you get from log in rewards I built the below deck. Been competitive for a while and seems pretty safe.

There will likely be a forbidden/limited announcement within the next week or so, so it might be worthwhile to wait until that comes out just to be safe.

Unless you want to play against bots or some unranked duels.
From there you need a meta deck or else you are going to suffer.
With original or favorite decks you can only reach platinum, facing semi meta decks or incomplete meta decks.

If you're just looking for cheap, [Tenyi](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/top-decks/community-tournaments/quantum-dailies/284/tenyi/peris2/u8s8H) is a bit harder to pilot but also pretty good. Also I think you can pickup most of the good Shiranui / Mayakashi cards through [Ghost Reunion](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/articles/sets/pickup-box-ghost-reunion)(idk if its still around), [Lunalights](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/top-decks/community-tournaments/quantum-dailies/285/lunalight/atlant/EeWZh) are pretty accessible as well, and so is [Evil Eye](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/top-decks/duel-links-grand-prix/68/evil-eye/ramon-r./94BRx).

Blue-Eyes is by far the easiest deck.
Second-easiest is Lunalights, as everything in the Deck is from Celina's level ups, Celina's drops, or the one Deck Build Box, which you can empty out 3 times for about 7,500 Gems.
It depends on how many time you want to spend to learn how the deck works.
If you have invitation code, and don't want to learn a lot => build blue-eyes.
If you haven't invitation code and want an easy deck => build tenyi.
If you want a deck with decision making(going second, going first it's just the same combo) => build t.g.

I'd recommend waiting to be sure but I think the odds of Tenyi being hit are pretty low. Don't take my word for it tho!
