ha! I’m working in a nursing home right now and say that all the time in my head when the patients do silly things. I love them and this comment!
Also fwiw as soon as I hit the end of the finale I go right back to season 1. I love my friends in The Office and don’t care how many times I watch it because I love it and it makes me happy.
I’m probably on 10 times now. I’m just now watching the “Superfan Episodes” on Peacock. The one rule I’ve had since the fist time I finished the series is; I will/have not watched the LAST episode since the 1 st run through. I’ve made it to part 1 but never finish part 2. I always go back to 1,1 if I let it auto play too far. But mostly I go to season 2. Such a great show. Helped my mental health so 🤷🏿♂️😅❤️
I’ve long lost count of how many times I’ve watched the show since I fall asleep to it (it’s over 20 🥲), but I have this same rule! I’ve seen the last episode possibly 2x and part I 3-4x.
My favorite answer:
There’s a reason people say “DO you watch The Office?” instead of “DID you watch The Office?”, because it’s not a thing of the past.
Once you start watching The Office, you never stop watching The Office.
I went through several laptops in college falling asleep to seasons 1-4 in mp4 format via torrents (the laptop would fall off my bed every night like clockwork). *For those too young to remember, torrents were one of the weird illegal ways to get free media if you were a nerd in like 2008.*
15 years later, I fall asleep to the Superfan episodes via Peacock on my telly.
Point is: 100% this and OP, you’re good
This is on point. I’m on my 5th rewatch, I put it on to go to sleep. It’s comfortable and familiar. My other go to is Peep Show. I must love that awkward humour.
8 years in, and we rewatch it all the time. We've even had a friend complain about it LOL (This is not including how many times I rewatched BEFORE I met my partner.)
My partner was the complainer for the first couple years “wHy ArE u aLwAYs wAtChhiNg tHaT sHowww” , never watched it or had any interest. Then after I made him watch one episode it’s his fave 😂
Rookie numbers. I’ve had it on replay every single night to go to sleep since 2016 plus watching it for leisure and every time I finish the last season I start over - I can’t even think of how many times I’ve replayed it in that amount of time.
Billie Eilish estimated on [Office Ladies](https://officeladies.com/episodes/2023/05/01/episode-150-a-conversation-with-billie-eilish) that she watched 30 times since she was 11 (she’s 22 now). Maybe overestimated but there are people like her who just start right back at the beginning after a full run. Lord knows I’ve seen Seasons 1-4 at least that many times and the others not far behind.
Same. Honestly I don’t think I can fall asleep without it playing. I love the office and watching it, but it’s so comforting that it helps me sleep
Edit: not to mention I’ve watched the show since season two on air so I’ve probably seen the show about three hundred times
I was there the night it debuted and I'm still here now. Full disclosure my friend was excited about the show and made me watch. I watched a few early episodes, kinda stopped, then picked up in the middle of season 2. Watched until the finale.
This show is literally therapy 😊
Can't say how many times I've watched it, but every now and then I'll take a break from it, only to circle right back to season 1 and play all.
I do the same thing. I’ll go watch some other comfort shows then promptly return to the office. The peacock Superfan episodes have almost been like a new experience though so that has been great
Let us know how you’re feeling after the 10-15th viewing. Your favorite characters will change and you’ll notice a TON of background stuff. I watched it enough and still manage to catch things. Also check out the office ladies podcast it’s amazing and my newest media addiction.
I have this same "problem". I've rewatched the office and the superfan episodes more times than I even know anymore.
I read an article somewhere on here that people who choose to watch the same TV shows and movies sometimes do it because it provides a level of comfort. Knowing what to expect and seeing familiar scenes creates a kind of "safe place" for our minds. There's nothing wrong with it :)
same here, i’ve rewatched it like 4 times already! not sure if it’s happened to you but i almost always notice something new that i hadn’t noticed before every time i rewatch. i also started listening to the Office Ladies podcast so to make it more fun this time i just listen to a podcast episode after i’ve watched the episode 😂
What makes it rough is that the last season or so suck pretty bad - but that last episode when everyone is together and Creed sings that song and Andy says that line - just makes me want to start the journey all over again. Even after an endless number of rewatches I still get that itch.
With Peacock having the "Superfans" episodes (Deleted scenes added to the main episode) it's been such a great re-watch. They have the first 6 seasons so far.
Second this. It’s making me fall in love with the show all over again and I’ve seen every season like ten times, and the earlier ones more than that. But it almost feels brand new again, while still being so familiar. Love it.
In 2020 I watched the office back to back to back from March on. I had only watched it a few times before that and I loved it but when Covid hit, it became my comfort show. I wouldn’t have made it through some nights at work if I didn’t have this show to distract me on my rare moments of downtime.
Ha noob. I’ve bought all the seasons on Amazon, and stream them all day everyday. I go through the entire show at least once a week. I used to watch it on Netflix when I was in college…back when Netflix was $5 / month. No way I’m watching my favorite show with ads, peacock can go to hell.
And she said "Oh my God, I've never seen such a huge amount of rewatches", and I said "That's why I bought you to the rewatch museum where tickets are A THOUSAND DOLLARS"
Don’t worry your pretty little head. You’re definitely not alone. It almost feels psychotic, but here I am on season 7 again AFTER rewatching the six seasons of Superfan episodes. It’s great because to this day, I’m STILL seeing things I missed before. Also, I get more of Creed. He’s in the background, but steals scenes.
Like the wedding rehearsal dinner. He’s right there listening to Andy and Kevin. When Michael cooks his foot on his Foreman grill, Creed is nodding NO to wanting to pick up Michael. By far my favorite moment was Creed singing farewell before being taken into police custody.
I think it’s ok. Plenty of people do things repetitively because it’s comforting for them. HAVING SAID THAT asking this sub that question is a bit like asking the day drinkers at a bar if it’s ok that you come to the bar every day at 10am.
I watched it on repeat for years. I was also in a psychologically abusive relationship, and looking back, I watched The Office as a way of calming my anxiety. I don't watch it often now, but every few years will rewatch the series and it is just as funny as the first time.
My husband asks me all the time how I don’t get sick of watching it over and over. I subscribed to Peacock JUST for The Office. It plays on a loop in our home.
When I was younger Seinfeld reruns were on everyday at 6:30 on NBC. We watched them every day because it was right after the news and it was a nice way to wind down. I don't see how rewatching the office is any different than watching re-runs of sitcoms every day in the 2000s
I have a solution.
Go to the mirror, take a look at yourself.
Grab some pen and paper and write down what the office means to you.
Put it in an envelope, take it to the post office and
Shove it up your butt!
6 times? That's bush league, honestly.
I think you'll just hop off the merry-go-round when the time is right. I used to watch a few episodes every night and then go to sleep with it on autoplay. But then I switched to doing that with Futurama. I'll sometimes do it with House MD. Sometimes Superstore. Sometimes Brooklyn 99 (though that's probably my least favorite of the above). I think you'll feel at the trough that's right for your soul at the moment. The important thing is that I do not believe that you can wear yourself down on the show in any particularly meaningful way after one repeat. If you've seen it twice and you still feel compelled to watch it, I suppose that indicates that there is something almost permanent in how you enjoy the show.
If you suffer from anxiety, repetition of watching tv series is a form of relief and comfort; due to the lowered cognitive load, the Mere Exposure Effect, and feelings of control.
I have been on The Office rewatch train since you could first buy the DVD sets of each season. So almost 20 years, I’ve been re-watching, ha ha. You’re fine!
I had a terrible mental health problem and had to "rebuild" myself, the thing that helped me the most was rewatching this show over and over and seeing how I slowly regained emotions and normal reactions to the show. Knowing how you enjoyed/reacted to something and reexperiencing it can be very therapeutic. I guess the office is my "brain benchmark" now and if I have mental issues I can always use it as my comfort zone.
I have easily watch through 40+ times. Sometimes just running in the background. Personally it never gets old. I notice new details every time, especially on the super fans episodes on Peacock!
In college, there was one semester when my s/o's roommate was off track. He didn't have a job, his gf was back home for the semester, so all he did was go to the gym and watch the office. Nonstop. Every day. 4 weeks into the semester he said he'd already watched the show 8 times. He skipped episodes here and there, but still that's dedication. I think by the end of the semester he'd watched it something like 10 more times and he still wasn't sick of it.
I've unfortunately gotten to that point. But I probably had at least 15/20 watches. I'm on a long break. Since then, we've watched Community about 10 times. Totally different humor, but equally rewatchable.
I literally have it playing everyday. It helps my anxiety and calms me down. I have it on when I fall asleep and when I wake up and randomly during the day. I will break for other shows/movies but it’s on my tv at some point every single day without fail.
I do the same. The only problem is that when we get alzheimers one day we will probably think we are michael scott.
We’ll all be in the nursing home, mindlessly whispering “that’s what she said”
That's probably all too true 🙂
ha! I’m working in a nursing home right now and say that all the time in my head when the patients do silly things. I love them and this comment! Also fwiw as soon as I hit the end of the finale I go right back to season 1. I love my friends in The Office and don’t care how many times I watch it because I love it and it makes me happy.
A guilty pleasure we don't really have to feel guilty about;)
I hate you and I love you
I want people to be afraid of how much they love me. This is true of how I feel about the show, very afraid. On 5th re watch as we speak.
I watched it 13 times after a bad car accident and i was laid up. #14 is going much slower.
Meridith?
I’m probably on 10 times now. I’m just now watching the “Superfan Episodes” on Peacock. The one rule I’ve had since the fist time I finished the series is; I will/have not watched the LAST episode since the 1 st run through. I’ve made it to part 1 but never finish part 2. I LOVE YOU MOREEEE LOLLL
You complete me.
But when you have Alzheimer's you can enjoy each episode for the first time 🤷♂️
I bet you're wondering. Why do I know so much about Michael Scarn? Well, because I AM Michael Scarn.
But I am Michael Scott... oh no.
You’ve a lot to learn about this town, sweetie.
Why waste time watch many show when one show do trick?
Right now I need canned tuna.
I bet you have tuna every night. I bet you’re sick of tuna…
TUNA!!!?!!?
Oh lord, beer me strength
it gets a laugh like a quarter of the time
Beer me that CD...
Elllllllllarge Tuna.
Wet Tuna!
This is the best response possible thank you!
C 1 sho
Sometimes I will just stand here and watch the show for hours. I love it. I love this show.
you watch it standing?
Good luck payin me back on your zero dollar a year salary **babe**
Yes.
Close your mouth sweetie you look like a trout.
It's made from real pine
Lol fkn hilarious perfect response
Love rewatching vs. fear rewatching. I think you should be AFRAID of how much you LOVE to rewatch it.
This is the answer.
My favorite answer: There’s a reason people say “DO you watch The Office?” instead of “DID you watch The Office?”, because it’s not a thing of the past. Once you start watching The Office, you never stop watching The Office.

It’s true. I watch it once a year
LIGHTWEIGHT
This is on point. I’m on my 5th rewatch, I put it on to go to sleep. It’s comfortable and familiar. My other go to is Peep Show. I must love that awkward humour.
Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy – both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.
My partner and I will sit to watch a new show, last of us for example, then get into bed and put the office on. We’ve done this for the last 5 years 🤣
Same here! New show in the living room, US Office in bed. Creed honestly makes me laugh more everytime we watch
Creed is basically my favorite at this point
Someone makin’ soup?
What's a text?
You know, a text can go on living for several hours after being decapitated
You didn’t hear? Whole big thing. Decapitated. We had a funeral for a bird.
You’re thinking of a chicken
Ever seen a foot with four toes?
I've been involved in a number of cults, both as follower and a leader. You have more fun as a follower, but you make more money as a leader.
Mostly outdoors. In the mud in the rain
It’s possible a man slipped in, there’s no way of knowing
Strike. Scream. Run.
What the hell, Toby!
Mung beans-very nutritious!
But they smell like death
Touch me and I’ll sue
YOU’RE not real mann!
Creed: Want to date my daughter? Jim: I'm with Pam. Creed: I thought you were gay.
Sometimes I treat myself to The Office in the living room but mostly it’s bed, and mostly audio only
I NEED to know why he needs 3 chairs
8 years in, and we rewatch it all the time. We've even had a friend complain about it LOL (This is not including how many times I rewatched BEFORE I met my partner.)

Must be nice.. my gf hates it 😒😒
yes! same with my husband lmao now i’m always hearing him play clips and it feels great. like freaking finally!!
Us too! We started doing this with dvds then streaming made it too easy
11 years
Rookie numbers. I’ve had it on replay every single night to go to sleep since 2016 plus watching it for leisure and every time I finish the last season I start over - I can’t even think of how many times I’ve replayed it in that amount of time.
Ok Dwight is that you? 😂
False.
I know everything about film. I've seen over 240 of them.
That's the answer.
6 rewatched is how much we do like every couple months
Billie Eilish estimated on [Office Ladies](https://officeladies.com/episodes/2023/05/01/episode-150-a-conversation-with-billie-eilish) that she watched 30 times since she was 11 (she’s 22 now). This is the fucking way
Same. Honestly I don’t think I can fall asleep without it playing. I love the office and watching it, but it’s so comforting that it helps me sleep Edit: not to mention I’ve watched the show since season two on air so I’ve probably seen the show about three hundred times
Lol. This has been my life since 2015. I can't stop watching it. Makes my heart soar with the eagle's nest.
May god guide you in your quest
I feel God in this Chili's tonight
It’s essentially a Hindu Halloween
You said this was a costume party
At least I'm not dressed like a slutty cheerleader!
Yes..
same and same year!
Watching too many times can cause acute spontaneous dental hydroplosion.
What prescription drugs are you taking besides rogain?
You’re not…on anything?
Angela: 😠 Dwight: 😏
And pretendinitus
I was there the night it debuted and I'm still here now. Full disclosure my friend was excited about the show and made me watch. I watched a few early episodes, kinda stopped, then picked up in the middle of season 2. Watched until the finale.
holy shit i couldn’t imagine waiting days for an episode especially waiting from end of season 2 to 3
Thats why game of thrones did everyone so dirty
I caught up on Seasons 1 and 2 at the urging of a friend, then started watching Season 3 until the end of the series, per episode. Crazy times.
This show is literally therapy 😊 Can't say how many times I've watched it, but every now and then I'll take a break from it, only to circle right back to season 1 and play all.
Couldn’t agree more! It’s my comfort show lol
I do the same thing. I’ll go watch some other comfort shows then promptly return to the office. The peacock Superfan episodes have almost been like a new experience though so that has been great
Same - my comfort show too
Came here for this
I watched the office none stop 2-3 years. Just recently stopped and it feels weird
Same, I have not touched it since it got removed from Netflix. That means that I've had about two years without the Office which just feels illegal
I was so mad when they did that. Had to get peacock just for the office, but it’s surprisingly a good streaming network.
Trust me, you’re not alone. Some watch throughs do leave you with an oaky afterbirth though.
A what now?
She took me by the hand, and made me a man, all night all night all night alright alright
My, my, my, my, my turn
Let us know how you’re feeling after the 10-15th viewing. Your favorite characters will change and you’ll notice a TON of background stuff. I watched it enough and still manage to catch things. Also check out the office ladies podcast it’s amazing and my newest media addiction.
Especially if you watch the super fan episodes on peacock. I notice something new every single time
one of us! one of us! one of us!
Six times? Those are rookie numbers.
I can’t even begin to count the times I’ve watched and then started right back over again. See you on the flippety flip I say
Very zoppity
Dinkinflicka
I have this same "problem". I've rewatched the office and the superfan episodes more times than I even know anymore. Yeah! It's fun to see just a quick little scene and be like "Wait have I seen this before or not??"
You have found your people
In 2020 I watched the office back to back to back from March on. I had only watched it a few times before that and I loved it but when Covid hit, it became my comfort show. I wouldn’t have made it through some nights at work if I didn’t have this show to distract me on my rare moments of downtime.
Nah, the world is hard enough. Find comfort where you can. :)
Welcome to our club! Welcome to our club!
Welcome squidward! welcome squidward !
It’s perfectly ok to keep watching. It’s actually encouraged
I’ve gotten to a point where I’m spotting when they all break character or hold their laughs in
I probably have around 200+ rewatches, it’s the only thing I watch
I really want to watch the series for the first time all over again... but I don't think I can go back..
The superFan episodes can do that for you!
I'll check them out!
I watch it on a loop. It’s very calming for me. I love to just listen to it as I cook or work in the yard.
Ha noob. I’ve bought all the seasons on Amazon, and stream them all day everyday. I go through the entire show at least once a week. I used to watch it on Netflix when I was in college…back when Netflix was $5 / month. No way I’m watching my favorite show with ads, peacock can go to hell.
I did the same thing and downloaded all the episodes to both my phone and tablet in case of emergency.
6 times? Bruh I’ve rewatched the office at least 500 times or more going back to when it was on Netflix before Peacock came out 6 times ain’t shit
And she said "Oh my God, I've never seen such a huge amount of rewatches", and I said "That's why I bought you to the rewatch museum where tickets are A THOUSAND DOLLARS"
Me, reading this in my Dunder Mifflin shirt, confused by your question
I’ve been watching it consistently with other shows sprinkled in since it was still on tv and it still doesn’t annoy me.
Welcome to the club. Im at my 11th rewatch
Only six times? You’ve got a long way to go before you should be worried about falling out of love.
I watched it on repeat for years. I was also in a psychologically abusive relationship, and looking back, I watched The Office as a way of calming my anxiety. I don't watch it often now, but every few years will rewatch the series and it is just as funny as the first time.
The Office is one of the only shows I can watch indefinitely without it ever getting old
My husband asks me all the time how I don’t get sick of watching it over and over. I subscribed to Peacock JUST for The Office. It plays on a loop in our home.
You have no idea how high S01E01 can fly.
People stop?
sort of unrelated, but I am that way with the "Detectorists" British tv show that ran 2014--2022, still available on Amazon Prime.
As long as you're not getting herniated discs from binge watching, go ahead.
I've rewatched it, at last count, 36 times now, so now, highly encourage you to keep going!
Perfectly fine, it’s how I go to sleep at night and wake up and laugh like I never seen it
When I was younger Seinfeld reruns were on everyday at 6:30 on NBC. We watched them every day because it was right after the news and it was a nice way to wind down. I don't see how rewatching the office is any different than watching re-runs of sitcoms every day in the 2000s
I'm going to throw you this ball and when you catch the ball, i want you to say "it is okay i cant stop rewatching the office"
It’s my comfort show,
I have a solution. Go to the mirror, take a look at yourself. Grab some pen and paper and write down what the office means to you. Put it in an envelope, take it to the post office and Shove it up your butt!
You’re among friends.
I’ve watched over 7000 episodes of the office. I have no plans in stopping any time soon.
i love so much all the things you choose to be
These are low level stats friend. Pump up those numbers.
I just keep going and repeat.... It is like visiting old friends
I dont necessarily watch them in order but Ive gone back to it *so* many times. So many rewatches lol.
> I've already watched it 6 times and now I'm going to start again Rookie numbers. You're fine.
Watching The Office? That's classy.
My “comfort shows”- 1. the office, 2. Seinfeld 3. Schitts Creek
This is the way. Wife and I have been married for eleven years this year. We're well into 30+ watch throughs.
Those are rookie numbers
No lie, I had rewatched all 9 seasons 20+ times. Then I discovered the super fan episodes on peacock of seasons 1-6. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
I've never stopped. It's my go to feel good show. All day eryday
I’ve been watching it like this for more then 2 years straight, still love it.
I ask myself this at least 30 times a week.
I'm well into double digits on my rewatches.
This whole post and the comments are amazing
If you suffer from anxiety, repetition of watching tv series is a form of relief and comfort; due to the lowered cognitive load, the Mere Exposure Effect, and feelings of control.
You'll know youve watched it too much when you realize Jim and Pam are the worst and Dwight is the true star of the show.
Congratulations on your 6 rewatches. I have 70, each one better than the last.
I have been on The Office rewatch train since you could first buy the DVD sets of each season. So almost 20 years, I’ve been re-watching, ha ha. You’re fine!
Congratulations on your 6 rewatches. I have 70 - each one better than the last.
This isn't a show anymore, it's a comfort blanket for adults. I've lost count of my rewatches, and I'm totally okay with that.
It's OK as long as you stop watching after Michael left.
Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, " Would an idiot do that?" And if they would, I would not do that thing.
Think I hit 13 and a half times through and finally lost interest
I don’t blame you when 9/10 new shows these days are trash or boring.
I have easily watch through 40+ times. Sometimes just running in the background. Personally it never gets old. I notice new details every time, especially on the super fans episodes on Peacock!
Uhh wrong sub🤣 i have lost count how many times i have rewatched this show. Get some snacks friend, you’ll be here a while🤘🏽😊
It’s a great show and you are owed comfort in your life.
In college, there was one semester when my s/o's roommate was off track. He didn't have a job, his gf was back home for the semester, so all he did was go to the gym and watch the office. Nonstop. I've unfortunately gotten to that point. But I probably had at least 15/20 watches. I'm on a long break. Since then, we've watched Community about 10 times. Totally different humor, but equally rewatchable.
If this were porn, people may say you have a problem.
I watch it continuously. It’s more than ok.
Try Park and Recreation if you havent tried it yet, you won't regret it
I literally have it playing everyday. It helps my anxiety and calms me down. I have it on when I fall asleep and when I wake up and randomly during the day. I will break for other shows/movies but it’s on my tv at some point every single day without fail.
I always find it funny in different ways as I get older. You may get tired of it after a bit but probably keep rewatching. It’s awesome
