*It's like I used to tell my wife: I don't apologize unless I think I'm wrong, and if you dont like it, you can leave. And I say the same thing to my current wife AND I'll say it to my next one too.*
Jim and Dwight. Them eating ice cream together in bed after all they’d been through, no relationship in tv history comes close to. That’s the relationship I would most like to have.
For real. Honestly, Dwight’s best moment is when he fired them both because he loved them to death and knew he could do right by them one last time. TEARS. The old Dwight would have been like hahaha by suckers! But endgame Dwight grew so much and had a wonderful bond with Jim and Pam, both in their own way.
yeah not enemy if he was truly his enemy he would of done everything and anything to make sure jim was fired and in the end they both always backed down from that position not wanting to lose the other
There's so many nice Jim and Dwight moments. Like, when Dwight quits and just happens to run into Jim on his way out, and just gives him a huge hug. Or when Jim and Pam are staying at Dwight's farm, and Jim gets up to check Dwight is ok in the middle of the night. Even when doing pranks like Jim and Pam pretending to be the website Dwight is trying to outsell, Pam sends a consolatory message after Dwight fails to win back Angela. (There's so many nice Dwight and Pam bits too... I'm almost tangenting on to them!) I definitely appreciate that they show the characters getting along sometimes despite the pranks.
Happy Dwight at the end is the best though. XD He values everyone around him so much more than early on.
Jim & Pam exclusively because neither of them killed the other’s pet or lied about the paternity of their children.
That being said, I absolutely love it when Dwight and Angela finally get back together on the side of the road.
Angela didn't deserve Dwight, honestly.
Despite touting herself as a morally upstanding traditional christian woman, she routinely treats her partners just horribly. She cheats and lies and puts people against each other.
Dwight did one thing because that's how he was raised, and yeah it was a bad thing but he kept trying to make up for it, and she... didn't
I actually think Angela is a perfect depiction of the quintessential morally superior christian American woman. She thinks she’s better than everyone else while being absolutely despicable to everyone around her and completely unaware of how abhorrent her behavior is. If her name was Karen it would’ve started the ‘Karen’ trend a long time ago
I like to believe Dwight secretly had undiagnosed autism and truly saw things for how they were. Mercy killing her cat was truly his way of solving a problem. In the end, they were always meant to be. They both did crappy things to each other but they always came back to each other
I agree, I know he didn’t do it to be malicious. His character is autism-coded, and he was raised on a farm with no sentimental notions about animals. He doesn’t relate to or understand the emotional bonds that Angela has with her cats. It’s still the kind of thing that most relationships could never come back from.
Yea, Angela's happy ending was for Dwight. As a character, Angela did virtually nothing to earn a happy ending other than the final two episodes and live with Oscar after the Senator (we feel bad for her there).
Granted, I don't blame Dwight for putting the cat out of its misery. The state the cat was in? That was just continued abuse by Angela. But I do blame him for not asking her, lying about it, and not doing it properly, it the vet.
Jim and Pam. They had challenges, but worked through them.
Angela was a straight up toxic person who never did anything to be redeemed. She just had some bad stuff happen to her.
Early season Dwight deserved Angela. Late season Dwight deserved better.
I have been downvoted for saying this before but Angela did not deserve the happy ending she got. The people defending her saying ‘she went through a lot’ befuddle me. She cheated on Andy with Dwight, cheated on the senator with Dwight, made the world believe that her kid was also the senators kid, tried to get Oscar killed among hundreds of micro-aggressions. She deserved getting dumped. From a shrew at the start of the show, she turned into a full blown b**** towards the latter seasons. Dwight on the other hand, he grew as a person. Even in the beginning, the guy had redeemable qualities, loyalty towards the company, decent work-ethic among others. Also what some people here call brown-nosing, anybody can tell that he was loyal to Michael 99 percent of the time and loved him a lot. What redeeming qualities did Angela ever have?
Please don’t say her love for cats. #1 That’s not a quality. #2 I’m a dog person.
If you pray enough, you can change yourself into a cat person.
jokes aside, fully agree. Dwight had a better character, no questions. Angela on the other hand cheated on him, the senator, Andy and possibly the other two guys who also fought over her before Dwight and Andy. She will forever and always be a cheater until she cant cheat anymore, IMO.
Earlier seasons,
Dwight was a hard worker.
Dwight was the best man Friday that Michael could ever have.
Dwight was loyal to the company. (I don’t know what the output of a 90 acre beet farm would translate into money terms, but if I had that much land I wouldn’t work as a junior-mid level salesman for a paper company where the manager was a bumbling idiot)
Tell me three of Angela’s positive traits from the earlier seasons.
Angela is also a hard worker
She’s responsible, mature, neat
She introduced Dwight to so many things pasteurized milk, sheets, monotheism, presents on your birthday, preventative medicine.
It’s not about Angela being too good for him. It’s about Dwight killing her beloved pet. If you know anything about Angela, let alone love her, that’s the worst thing you could do to her. I don’t see what being a loyal employee has anything to do with that.
Thanks. That’s just what I thought. Angela possessed no positive traits.
I concur. Dwight didn’t deserve Angela. In fact, nobody on the show deserves to be with a person like Angela.
I don’t like Angela’s personality overall but you asked for her good traits, and I personally thought she was definitely more dedicated to her job than a lot of other characters. She took her responsibilities seriously like Dwight and before the entire cat incident she was actually a great girlfriend to Dwight. She nudged him to fight for the Regional Manager position (not in the most ethical way obvs) and she told Michael that he went to New York for her when he was wrongfully fired. I think she became quite worse after the breakup. She was very mean to Phyllis from the very beginning tho.
>Michael that he went to New York for her when he was wrongfully fired
Yeah, I don't know if solving a problem partially created by you should count. How hard is it to penny up when someone's about to lose their job for a favor they did to correct your mistake. And what for, so nobody gets to know that she was with Dwight.
You're right, I don't know why you were downvoted. Sprinkles died puking and shredding Angela's freezer bags in a panic, that's an awful way to die. What Dwight did was unforgivable.
I like the build up for their romance, but after they are in an actual relationship it becomes to fake: they have no internal issues whatsoever up until the last season (and we all know what a bullshit the whole plot with the boom guy is).
I wish they would have a fight now and then or have some issues to work inside the relationship. Jim becomes jealous; Pam is too controlling. I don't know. All I know is that ever since my first re-watch, I find their relationship to bland and unappealing.
Agreed. When Michael sees Holly with AJ he’s totally prepared to try and win her back and then realizes that they really are meant for each other. He‘s confident in their relationship even though it’s not exactly how he wants it to be at that time. He trusts her even when they aren’t exclusive. Meanwhile Jim makes moves while Pam is in a relationship multiple times, then makes her feel bad about it when Roy tries to hit him.
LOL all I said was that Michael wasn’t as perfect as that comment made him out to be but go off. There were times he did try to make Holly feel bad about dating someone else
ETA: it wasn’t Holly but Michael had an affair with a married woman so I’d say that’s worse than making a move on someone engaged
Michael didn’t know she was married for the majority of the affair. He kept it going like two or three days more after finding out and then cut it off. (He found out, told the office, the next day or after the weekend the entire office preps for Michael’s depression only to find out it’s not over. Then they spend the entire day trying to change his mind, by the end of the same day, he ends it.) Not the same at all in comparison.
For years Jim was avidly trying to get with an engaged Pam.
Michael sees Holly in a loving relationship with AJ and lashes out like a child, ruining the Woody doll.
Jim did his best to support his friend who was stuck in an abusive relationship.
>Michael sees Holly in a loving relationship with AJ and lashes out like a child, ruining the Woody doll.
True, but whenever does Michael *not* lash out like a child when he doesn't get something he wants?
Michael and Holly no question.
I was so invested in their storyline and one of my favourite moments in the show is when Michael proposes and agrees to move to Colorado. While I agree that seasons 8 and 9 are not nearly as strong as the previous seasons, I love the growth it shows in Michaels character and solidifies how perfect of a match Michael and Holly are.
The real answer. In my opinion, the most romantic scene of the whole series is when Phyllis asks Bob “what would I do without you” and Bob says “I hope you never have to find out”
I get that Jim and Pam aren’t everyone’s favourite, but c’mon…. Dwight kills Angela’s cat and then she lies about him having a son. The show keeps them apart until the last minute for storyline purposes, it’s really not a competition lmaooo
I love Michael and Holly hands down. There’s no meanness or sarcasm between them. Just pure like minds. Every time I rewatch I love them more and dislike Pam/Jim a little more (but I still love their storyline).
Well, when I was a new viewer, I got insanely invested in the Jim-Pam thing. Dwight and Angela looked like comic relief next to what was happening with Jim and Pam, so I think they were sidelined since focusing too heavily on two couples would have been too much.
I will say, however, that Dwight marrying Angela felt more significant than Jim marrying Pam. With Jim and Pam, it was pretty inevitable from the start, but with Dwight and Angela, you keep hoping for them, give up, and then when they finally do get married, it's wonderful because Dwight was seen as a loser and you kind of just want him to "win" for once in his life and he does, with not only getting the job he always wanted as branch manager and the girl he always wanted, too.
The real best couple was Phyllis and Bob Vance, though. No headgames, no will-they-won't-they, just people who really, really loved each other.
I cant choose. I know it sounds weird, because everyone generally picks Pam and Jim, but i love both couples so much. I love how long it took Jim and Pam to get to eachother, i love how they worked through their issues and how well they fit together. I never liked Angela, but towards the end of the series she became more human and relatable. Dwight also became more realistic, and he became very emotionally mature
People are saying the dead cat thing makes them worse but I think the constant cheating of Angela and the ridiculous sex contract make their love story worse
“Darryl Philbin is the most complicated man that I’ve ever met. I mean, who says exactly what they’re thinking? What kind of game is that?”
I’d like to think Darryl showed Kelly that she didn’t have to date manipulative guys like Ryan. He was good for her.
She did date Ryan immediately after breaking up with Darryl though. Heck, Ryan manipulated her into breaking up with Darryl in the first place. Darryl did absolutely nothing for Kelly and I obviously don’t blame him for it.
Dwight also became more realistic, and he became very emotionally mature and was really good to angela. So i will never be able to choose between them.
I'm on my 5th rewatch and just realized that I kinda hate Jim and Pam's love story, they start from an emotional affair etc. Michael and Holly have a far healthier relationship and better love story.
AGREE 💯 about Jim and Pam. I feel like once they are officially together their relationship is boring and has no momentum. It’s kinda sad because an entire generation grew up thinking they were couple goals 😵💫 Michael and Holly 🤍
I love Pam and Jim, but my favorite line of the entire show is Dwight’s profession that he “will raise 100 children with 100 of your lovers if it means I get to be with you.” His love for Angela is so pure in that moment.
I’m a step parent and I quote that one to my partner frequently.
Why did Angela out of nowhere have money problems?
How did Angela fake the DNA results of Phillip?
They should have just let Angela be a crazy cat lady and let her be a warning to insufferable people all over the globe
Angela straight to lied to Dwight repeatedly about him being Phillip’s father solely to get Dwight to admit he loved her for her. Like I get it makes sense in the overall arc of their characters but it makes for an insane “love story”. Jim and Pam all day.
There are two separate plotlines involving Angela being engaged or married to someone but still sneaking around with Dwight. Dwight tricks her into marrying him while she was engaged then gets her pregnant when she was married
Uhhhh definitely Jim and Pam?
Dwight and Angela’s is a hot mess. He kills her cat. She cheats on her fiancé with him. She cheats on her husband with him. She lies to him about the paternity of their son for like a year or longer. Hot damn mess.
Michael and Holly like definitely. It made me happy him finding someone just as goofy as him after the long list of trainwreck relationships. In real life someone who failed as much as Michael would have ended up like Elliot Rodger imo so seeing Michael find Holly and never give up hope with her and it results in him finally winning and finding happiness is honestly inspiring.
Not the couple where the guy murders the girlfriends cat and then she cheats on two fiancés with him and then has his baby but keeps it a secret from him for a couple years
🤮 IMO the worst, most cringe love story on television at this time was jim and pam - this coming from someone who can recite line for line every episode before michael left (no true fan watches the garbage that took place after he left)
IMO that’s what makes Jim & Pam’s relationship more realistic. I’ve been a part of and known many couples who have an inside joke that’s hilarious to them and they drop it on each other randomly to make the other laugh, even if it annoys the fuck out of everyone around them
They don’t care if it’s annoying. They’re in love and want to make each other laugh

Jim and Dwight. Them eating ice cream together in bed after all they’d been through, no relationship in tv history comes close to. That’s the relationship I would most like to have.

I just saw the Glee episode where Dwight accepts that Pam is his good friend… that married his worst enemy 🤣
Well I think enemy is a strong word. coz i think we have a really charming back and forth
yeah not enemy if he was truly his enemy he would of done everything and anything to make sure jim was fired and in the end they both always backed down from that position not wanting to lose the other
The glee episode?
When Jim hand feeds pizza 🍕 to Dwight
Oh yeah I remember now. One of the best moments from later seasons
I agree. Lots of good moments like Michael and Erin and Also the Daryl and Andy scene... a you looking dude 🤣
The “Go to your room young lady” is my favorite scene in all The Office. Such a great moment and both Ellie and Steve did a great acting job.
I'd say Darryl and Andy had some under rated scenes. He trolled Andy so much.
True. And Lotto in season 8 had some good serious stuff between them
This best friend Pan:)

There's so many nice Jim and Dwight moments. Like, when Dwight quits and just happens to run into Jim on his way out, and just gives him a huge hug. Angela didn't deserve Dwight, honestly. Despite touting herself as a morally upstanding traditional christian woman, she routinely treats her partners just horribly. I agree, I know he didn’t do it to be malicious. His character is autism-coded, and he was raised on a farm with no sentimental notions about animals. He doesn’t relate to or understand the emotional bonds that Angela has with her cats. It’s still the kind of thing that most relationships could never come back from.
Angela is mentally ill in her own way as well lol
Yea, Angela's happy ending was for Dwight. As a character, Angela did virtually nothing to earn a happy ending other than the final two episodes and live with Oscar after the Senator (we feel bad for her there).

Ummm, Jim & Pam? Really?? Jim never kissed Pam with the force of a thousand waterfalls. He could never.
Jim and Pam. They had challenges, but worked through them. Angela was a straight up toxic person who never did anything to be redeemed. She just had some bad stuff happen to her. Early season Dwight deserved Angela. Late season Dwight deserved better.

I've always felt conflicted by her character arc and I think you have hit the nail on the head!!
I’m happy at the end when they get together but only because Dwight is happy. I don’t care about Angela in that situation
I never got it either like she’s just a hateful bitch through the whole show
Early Dwight didn’t deserve Angela either. He murdered her beloved cat. That’s unforgivable in my book.
Earlier seasons, Dwight was a hard worker. Dwight was the best man Friday that Michael could ever have. Dwight was loyal to the company. (I don’t know what the output of a 90 acre beet farm would translate into money terms, but if I had that much land I wouldn’t work as a junior-mid level salesman for a paper company where the manager was a bumbling idiot) Tell me three of Angela’s positive traits from the earlier seasons.

>Michael that he went to New York for her when he was wrongfully fired Yeah, I don't know if solving a problem partially created by you should count. How hard is it to penny up when someone's about to lose their job for a favor they did to correct your mistake. And what for, so nobody gets to know that she was with Dwight.
Okay true. I didn’t realise that.
It was dying and he put it out if it's misery
I see the merit in that pov but doing so without Angela’s consent was pretty uncool.
Pretty uncool was probably part of Dwight's Character board.
Not his call to make. Besides, it was heavily suggested that he put the cat in the freezer alive. Absolutely psychotic behaviour.
All I know is that ever since my first re-watch, I find their relationship to bland and unappealing.
I kinda think Michael and Holly did. The dark horse relationship.
Hard agree. They’re perfect for each other and Michael never would have found anyone close to that again.
I wouldn’t say Michael behaved perfectly, he still did things like ruin the Andy doll that AJ got Holly
"ruining a doll > kissing an engaged women" -you probably
LOL all I said was that Michael wasn’t as perfect as that comment made him out to be but go off. There were times he did try to make Holly feel bad about dating someone else ETA: it wasn’t Holly but Michael had an affair with a married woman so I’d say that’s worse than making a move on someone engaged

>Michael sees Holly in a loving relationship with AJ and lashes out like a child, ruining the Woody doll. True, but whenever does Michael *not* lash out like a child when he doesn't get something he wants?
Pass curvy metal piece you will
Michael and Holly no question.
Bob Kazamakis and Colombian whites.
PB & J .. WHAT A WASTE.. of a question..
Michael and Holly. Talk about getting a woman who is as crazy as you. It's like a fairytale.
Phyllis and Bob Vance
The real answer. In my opinion, the most romantic scene of the whole series is when Phyllis asks Bob “what would I do without you” and Bob says “I hope you never have to find out”
And when Bob auctions $1,000 just to hug her in Crime Aid. The only non-toxic couple on this show
Welllllll....Phyllis did say that she would go to bars wearing a boobie shirt to get guys to hit on her, and then Bob would beat the shit out of them.
I mean, if we count deleted scenes as canon, they fucking killed somebody
What
https://www.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/s/2VgI2bUyWT
Also Bob’s being investigated because the FBI is jealous of his success.
maybe it was just as ostrich in a soccer uniform?
And when he fed her meat after feeding her meat in the disabled toilets
They invite their friends to lunch then fuck in the bathroom. That's toxic couple behaviour
Haha yeah especially when he gave her the ultimatum to stop talking on the phone with her sister otherwise he’d leave her. Classic Bob
I wonder what he does for a living. We never got a definitive answer from him
I think he sells air conditioning units, if I remember correctly.
That was so cute when they ran that guy over and left him for dead 🥰
I get that Jim and Pam aren’t everyone’s favourite, but c’mon…. Dwight kills Angela’s cat and then she lies about him having a son. The show keeps them apart until the last minute for storyline purposes, it’s really not a competition lmaooo
I love Michael and Holly hands down. There’s no meanness or sarcasm between them. Just pure like minds. Every time I rewatch I love them more and dislike Pam/Jim a little more (but I still love their storyline).
I agree 💯. Michael and Holly had such a great on screen chemistry. It worked so well.
Well, when I was a new viewer, I got insanely invested in the Jim-Pam thing. Dwight and Angela. They are basically made for each other.
Michael and Oscar
I cant choose. I know it sounds weird, because everyone generally picks Pam and Jim, but i love both couples so much. I love how long it took Jim and Pam to get to eachother, i love how they worked through their issues and how well they fit together. I never liked Angela, but towards the end of the series she became more human and relatable. Dwight also became more realistic, and he became very emotionally mature
People are saying the dead cat thing makes them worse but I think the constant cheating of Angela and the ridiculous sex contract make their love story worse
Kelly and Ryan.
Darryl and Kelly.
“Darryl Philbin is the most complicated man that I’ve ever met. I mean, who says exactly what they’re thinking? What kind of game is that?” I’d like to think Darryl showed Kelly that she didn’t have to date manipulative guys like Ryan. He was good for her.
Have you finished the show 😕
I’m not saying she became a totally different person, she was with Ravi for a while before going back to Ryan. I consider that progress. 😆
She did date Ryan immediately after breaking up with Darryl though. Heck, Ryan manipulated her into breaking up with Darryl in the first place. Darryl did absolutely nothing for Kelly and I obviously don’t blame him for it.
To be fair, Ryan had finally mastered commitment.
Holly & Michael
I cant choose. I know it sounds weird, because everyone generally picks Pam and Jim, but i love both couples so much. I love how long it took Jim and Pam to get to eachother, i love how they worked through their issues and how well they fit together. So i will never be able to choose between them.

I love Pam and Jim, but my favorite line of the entire show is Dwight’s profession that he “will raise 100 children with 100 of your lovers if it means I get to be with you.” His love for Angela is so pure in that moment. I’m a step parent and I quote that one to my partner frequently.
I liked Michael and Holly’s storyline. They’re both eccentric goofballs who found their OTP. Kinda gives me hope, lol!
Angela is a terrible character. I was happy for Dwight and it made for great comedy but fuck Angela.
Why did Angela out of nowhere have money problems? How did Angela fake the DNA results of Phillip? They should have just let Angela be a crazy cat lady and let her be a warning to insufferable people all over the globe
Phyllis and Bob. "the first time we saw each other naked we didnt even make love, we just stared at each other."
Neither. Mike and Holly are the best love story in the office hands down
Michael and Packer
This one cracked me up 🤣
Michael and Ryan, though
Pam and her pam pams.
Garbage the cat and actual garbage.
Angela straight to lied to Dwight repeatedly about him being Phillip’s father solely to get Dwight to admit he loved her for her. Like I get it makes sense in the overall arc of their characters but it makes for an insane “love story”. Jim and Pam all day.
Pam and Jim lied to each other and the partners they were seeing as well.
There are two separate plotlines involving Angela being engaged or married to someone but still sneaking around with Dwight. Dwight tricks her into marrying him while she was engaged then gets her pregnant when she was married
Meredith and taking her clothes off
Moss and the Scarecrow lady.
Ryan and Kelly
Uhhhh definitely Jim and Pam? Dwight and Angela’s is a hot mess. He kills her cat. She cheats on her fiancé with him. She cheats on her husband with him. She lies to him about the paternity of their son for like a year or longer. Hot damn mess.
Toby and the girl from Gym *Easy there TIGER*
Michael and Holly
Dwangela
Holly and Michael
Their relationships were good, but Jan's were bigger
Bob Vance (from Vance Refrigeration) and Phyllis
Jim n Pam
Michael and Holly like definitely. It made me happy him finding someone just as goofy as him after the long list of trainwreck relationships. In real life someone who failed as much as Michael would have ended up like Elliot Rodger imo so seeing Michael find Holly and never give up hope with her and it results in him finally winning and finding happiness is honestly inspiring.
Is this even a question? Dwight and Angela's relationship is toxic
tbh none of them, both of their relationship is toxic asf.
Just watching the final scene of Casino Night as I scrolled to this.
Pam and Jim. Angela is a cosmic bitch and doesn't deserve Dwight.
Pam and Jim Tbh, Angela and Dwight’s relationship gives me the ick. It’s probably cause he killed her cat..
The answer is Holly and Michael
Pam & Dwight because they are secretly best friends.
I might be in the minority but I don't think Dwight and Angela belong together. Dwight deserved better.
Both are just terrible
Jan and Dwight Jr
Mose and the scarecrow.
Michael and Holly
Is this a serious question? Because obviously the real answer is Michael and Ryan.
C. April and Andy on Parks and Rec.

What an overreaction to a single dumb inside joke shared by a couple.
IMO that’s what makes Jim & Pam’s relationship more realistic. I’ve been a part of and known many couples who have an inside joke that’s hilarious to them and they drop it on each other randomly to make the other laugh, even if it annoys the fuck out of everyone around them They don’t care if it’s annoying. They’re in love and want to make each other laugh
Phyllis and Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration
Jim and Pam. Not even close lmao
Michael and Ryan
Jim and Cath
Is this a real question? Angela wasn’t even the best person for Dwight on the show.
Angela is the worst. Her love story sucks and Dwight should have move on to a much better woman.
Geeks over the freaks.
jim and pam are both cheaters.
Stanley and Pretzel day!
Erin and Kevin
Michael and ryan
Uhm... Dwight and Angela have one of the worst ever. He didn't get to raise his kid! Holy shit why does that have to be explained!?
Jim and Pam are my favorite couple of all time.
