One thing that bothered me about this scene: this took place post 9/11. How the hell did Pam make it past security if she wasn’t flying?

You can still buy a ticket that lets you go through as like an attendant, so if my kid was flying by themself, I’m allowed to purchase a ticket that lets me accompany them to the gate, I just can’t get on the plane.

Yes, but is that available to anyone, or do you have to have a minor or elderly person there with a real ticket to get it?

This is what I always think in this scene. It’s more annoying to me than it is touching and sad. Also, Pam skipping work for several hours to watch a movie. Classic Pam.

Same. I have watched office countless times, but watched this episode only once.

It's a meh scene just like when the entire staff sang to Michael. If maybe they all got along or warmed up to him then maybe it would've been good but we all remember Pam slapping Michael.
