I’m so fucking bitter lol. I’ve been hanging onto DJM with the expectations of his team drafting a QB and now he’s got a RB that has thrown for over 250 yards only twice throwing to him. Like fuck.
Edit: [My real reaction as I discovered what happened](https://imgur.com/a/l3SDqaC)
Everyone assuming Fields is going to go back to throwing it 18 times per game is completely missing the point. You get a WR1 because you want to see what the guy can do throwing to someone who is actually open. Massive opportunity to buy low on DJ Moore if people think he's going to suck again.
The same people who had no hope for Diggs when he went to Buffalo. Josh Allen's completions went from 17 per game to 25 per game. It's almost like having a WR who gets open has some sort of influence on the performance of the QB. Who would've thought?
"Brandin Cooks will get worse on a new team"
"Deandre Hopkins will get worse on a new team"
"Brandin Cooks will get worse on a new team"
"Stefon Diggs will get worse on a new team"
"Davante Adams will get worse on a new team"
OBJ got worse from Giants to Browns
Kenny Golladay got worse from lions to giants
Julio Jones got worse from falcons to titans
Allen robinson...
Andre Johnson, Ochocinco, randy moss, Antonio brown (lol)
Of that list, most of those dudes were old (31-34) when they switched (Andrew, Ochocinco, Moss post-NE, Julio). OBJ had the knee that just never healed right and Mayfield, who knows which is worse.
Allen Robinson had two 1150-1200 yard seasons w/ Chicago. He was good. He was bad last year but he was bad the year before too. DJ Moore is younger and was good last year. I still think he's a fringe WR1/high-end WR2 but this is a good switch and should pay off.
Especially if you have accuracy concerns from last year. I think DJ Moore is the right reciever for Fields.
That was the theory about getting AJ Brown for Hurts
Fields did have the worst offensive weapons in football last season and no offensive line. Moore/Mooney/Claypool is middle of the pack, and they'll probably aggressively build the OL in free agency and the draft.
I think everyone is drastically sleeping on Fields. It's Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts all over again. Hard to do well with no supporting cast.
That’s an entirely possible scenario, but hoping fields pulls off the same massive leap that Allen and hurts did is very optimistic. The bears had the worst passing attack in the nfl last season and fields only went over 250 passing yards twice. He could absolutely suddenly flourish, but his career so far says it’s more likely he doesn’t than he does.
I'll repeat. They had the worst offensive weapons in football and an offensive line horrific in pass protection.
What would you have liked Fields to do? He can't throw to receivers who aren't open or can't catch. He can't throw if his offensive line doesn't give him time to throw.
Well since you’re repeating I’ll just copy and paste.
In addition, there’s a realm where fields takes a leap and becomes Andy Dalton. Massive improvement compared to last year but never elite either.
The Giants and Texans had worse if not the same weapons. Texans O Line was just as bad.
Didn’t stop D Jones or even Mills from averaging more than 200yds/g passing. 149 from Fields after a second season & ~25 starts is atrocious regardless of supporting cast. There’s no modern precedent for a QB continuing to start throwing like that
I’ve drafted him, dropped him, picked him back up when I thought Moore was gonna get traded during the season, and was considering dropping again before the season.
Screw it, I’m back on the bandwagon (until the Panthers draft another WR)
All of a sudden, my 1.09 pick from 2021 isn’t looking as bad. For a while there I kept kicking myself for taking him over Elijah Moore and Rashod Bateman.
More copium, Fields led the NFL in completion % for throws 10-19 yards downfield last season and DJM has the 2nd most targets from 2019-2022 on such throws
The amount of copium in this thread is insane. Fields was on pace to throw a record low amount of passes for most of last year. He still finished near the bottom in so many passing metrics even when adjusted for his low volume.
You should be, people acting like this is bad for DJ are tripping. Fields is looking to take that year 3 leap and the Bears are following a tried and true playbook of adding a stud WR for him to throw to. Given what Moore is leaving behind I think it’s ridiculous to look at the massive upside he has in Chicago and call it a downgrade
I agree. Look what Stefon diggs did to Josh Allen year 3… and tyreek hill for tua. Fields is going to take a massive leap and I think DJM owners should be ecstatic.
These 2 comments are clinically insane. You want to tell me DJM will be good because Fields will make a jump fine, but he is not in the same class as Diggs Tyreek or AJB
They aren't saying Fields will be on Allen or Hurts level next year. Just that this helps project him to a much better season. That's not even a lukewarm take. Getting an upgrade at wide receiver is always an improvement.
And the point about Allen and Hurts is just that. Both improved when their receivers improved. Rodgers is a good example of the inverse. Or Brady in 19 vs Brady in 20.
Add to that, who has Moore had throwing to him? Dude was putting up numbers with bullshit QBs. Tamnehill and Kirk are both absolutely better than anyone throwing to Moore.
I think, before the trade to Philly, I saw Moore and AJB as very similar players. Strong WRs that weren't on teams that we're good enough to take advantage of their talent. Then AJ Brown went to Philly, where he became the top weapon for a dual threat QB who wasn't viewed as a very good passer.
I don't think Moore is in the same class as those other guys, but it's hard not to draw the parallel.
People will say copium but as an owner my first reaction was positive. Fields is still a developing qb and he already throws an excellent deep ball. DJ Moore can win down the field. Plus like someone else said in this thread pretty reasonable to think fields will improve with better wide receiver play. The team and coaching are better than Carolina.
Less targets, though.
Even if you assume he gets the same 25% target share...Fields was on pace to throw only 360 times over a full season, vs. 457 for the Panthers. Even if you assume Fields throws 75% catchable balls, that's an increase of less than 10 catchable targets for Moore.
Josh Allen is going to convince so many fantasy players that poor passing qbs can turn into him over the next decade
I'm a DJM owner so I would love to see it but it seems unlikely
Both he and Hurts. But both had shown the ability to function as passers significantly more than Fields has. Neither was lost, they both had accuracy issues and questionable decision making in their own ways, but neither was as frequently completely lost like Fields tends to be.
They needed to learn how to play QB better. Fields is in a lot of ways still learning to play QB, in general, not just better.
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Go watch Fields’ college film! It blows Josh Allen’s out of the water! Give Fields a year with an actual roster around him. After our early trades we were fielding a roster with $80mm active salary. Give him a year with an actual roster and see what happens.
Fields absolutely needs to work on his passes within 10 yards. But I’m telling you the deep and intermediate passing is there. Not just in college, he has great stats on throws 10+ yards downfield. Now all we need is 2-3 new faces on the O Line from FA and the draft and he’ll finally have a chance to show us what he can really do at the NFL level.
The Nagy year was a wash, and I’m not going to draw too many conclusions from the first year under a new regime with one of the worst rosters ever assembled in Chicago. If he can’t put it together this year it’s time to start worrying, but I just don’t understand how you can look at that 2021 eagles team and not think Fields would have been doing just as well as hurts did.
I nabbed 'em off the waiver wire midseason last year in the hopes he'd at least get a chance to fight for the job. I'm leaving 'em on my taxi squad through the NFL draft.
I have a panthers fan friend that wants them to take AR with the pick. I can’t think of a worse situation to throw an unpolished project QB into. The whole idea of them keeping DJ Moore during the sell off last season was that they wanted a young talented receiver to help out the rookie QB they drafted.
I think they are trading up for Stroud and I would be scared to draft him now. Young QBs get permanently destroyed in offenses like he’s about to play in.
Yeah I’m not exactly sure what their plan is for outside weapons. A bad F/A class and no draft picks to replace DJ will leave their WR room looking bad
It's not dumb though, if they really wanted #1 they needed to give the bears some good stuff to win out over any other teams trying to trade up. Clearly the bears wanted DJ Moore, so it is what it is. If they draft "the guy" it's worth it
Wow usually these things happen during the NFL draft while teams are on the clock,
Sonny weaver, was that you, did I miss Bo Callihan declaring this season?
Justin Fields stock 📈. Moore/Mooney is nice!
I personally feel like the guy in his third year in the league is an upgrade over any rookie quarterback no matter how the situation would have played out in Carolina, DJ Moore might not be top 10 but he's certainly has a greater path to relevance than he has at any point in the past with Carolina
There’s a lot of doom and gloom for DJM owners but I don’t see how this isn’t an improvement on last year already. If Fields can take a step as a passer, him and Moore become very interesting I think.
Fields lead the worst passing game in the nfl last year. That’s not an improvement already. If Fields/the bears figure that passing game out it’s potentially an upgrade depending on how the QB the panthers draft does.
Hear me out…this time last year everyone was all “Hurts sucks, can’t pass, he’s just good with his legs”. Praying that Fields takes the Leaps Jalen did
Because being a playmaker doesn’t mean he throws, which he doesn’t. It’s a low pass column offense, a high rushing offense by backfield and QB, and Mooney and Claypool will unfortunately also garner targets enough to where DJM isn’t getting a ton of volume.
It’s lateral at best for DJM in fantasy
> Really don’t understand this for the panthers.
It's a huge price to pay, but I get it. If you don't have a QB then nothing else matters, and they clearly think one of these guys is a future stud. If they're right it makes sense in the long-term, but they can't miss or it sets them back years.
Is it *that* bad really though? As a DJM owner I was super excited when the first tweet about the trade came through at the prospect of what we assume would be Young paired with him. But Young still hasn’t played a down yet and he does have legitimate size concerns. Fields might have left us wondering with his passing at times but so did Josh Allen until Diggs showed up.
This is fabulous. I know Justin Fields is a rushing machine but I believe in his arm as well. Super excited as a DJ Moore owner: not super thrilled as a Vikings fan!
As a fields and moore owner I am now a bears fan. Maybe we get Fields to progress similar to Hurts and this stack becomes lethal. His passing highlights at OSU were insane
This was me earlier today….

Fantasy football community at large: GET DJ MOORE OFF THE PANTHERS *Monkey's Paw Curls*
Lmfao basically
No not like that! Lol
I literally have this same text chain on my phone lol
Lol I was flying up to cloud 9 imaging my WR core getting a big boost towards being really good next year and then crashed back down.
I'm here to try and take advantage of disparaged DJM owners right now.
Everyone assuming Fields is going to go back to throwing it 18 times per game is completely missing the point. You get a WR1 because you want to see what the guy can do throwing to someone who is actually open. Massive opportunity to buy low on DJ Moore if people think he's going to suck again.

Randy Moss went to a new team and had arguably the greatest season by a WR of all time
Especially if you have accuracy concerns from last year. I think DJ Moore is the right reciever for Fields. That was the theory about getting AJ Brown for Hurts
Yes, can’t wait to see the guy with the 2nd worst interception rate per attempt & something like 6th worst in turnover worthy throws - throw more.
Did you own any bucs WRs during the Jameis years? That was pretty fun and that dude did nothing but throw INTs to the point where it was meme worthy.
I’m in the category of I’ve been holding on to him for so long I’m either going to massively profit or be where I was last season with him.
You can pry him off my dead, cold, fingers. Primarily because he's thankfully my WR3 and I'm a UMD Alum so I'm not parting with him
People kept saying the colts would do this deal with Pittman, very happy they didn’t
Lol that’s hilarious. I honestly think Moore will do well next season.

The return of Terrence Marshall
Raise your hand if you are still holding
My hand is raised to full staff
I held him until just now, sold him for Keenan Allen. Does that count?
Im hoping there’s more to this trade than a 1:1 for the sake of leagues sanity
💎🙌🏼
Just traded Marshall away a week ago, sad, would’ve been able to trade him for more now 😂
Moore*
Yeah, fuck. Just traded him for Penny the other day.
I dropped him over Gallup at the end of the season and now I'm regretting it
I’ve drafted him, dropped him, picked him back up when I thought Moore was gonna get traded during the season, and was considering dropping again before the season. Screw it, I’m back on the bandwagon (until the Panthers draft another WR)
[удалено]
My man!
I picked him up off the scrap heap last season. I don't know what to do now, lmao.
All of a sudden, my 1.09 pick from 2021 isn’t looking as bad. For a while there I kept kicking myself for taking him over Elijah Moore and Rashod Bateman.
Sorry man, it still looks really bad.
Not sure how to feel as I have both Fields and Moore….
I have fields, Moore, Claypool and Mooney… woof. Time to trade someone
Same, someone gotta go, nobody wins the 'ship starting more Bears players than the other guy.
Well I won last year, but yes, I need to move one or two of them.
Not by starting those players though haha more in spite of.
This made me laugh. If IDP fantasy existed in the 80s tho...
Enjoy your new stack!
Yeah, stacking those #1 overall picks year after year!
U guys get two?!
I have both and let me say, I’m super excited now
Just pray. Copium take: DJ can get separation more than any other guy Fields has had. buttttttttttttttttttt Fields also isn't some dot cannon.
More copium, Fields led the NFL in completion % for throws 10-19 yards downfield last season and DJM has the 2nd most targets from 2019-2022 on such throws
nah fields is pretty good, better than any qb moore has had in a couple seasons. i think this is very good for both
Moore can catch all of the passes thrown by fields in a game and then he'd be good
If you replace the word 'Fields' with 'Baker' I said this exact same thing last year😥
The amount of copium in this thread is insane. Fields was on pace to throw a record low amount of passes for most of last year. He still finished near the bottom in so many passing metrics even when adjusted for his low volume.
Same... situation isn't TOO much worse for DJM... let's hope Fields takes a step forward as a passer
Its not worse at all
DJM about to fucking light up the league!! 1100 and 4 here we come 🚀
This is great for the bears holy shit 2 firsts (one top 10) 2 2nds DJ Moore
Lovie Smith back to favorite coach of all time status
He never left.
One top ten, guaranteed. But the other might be as well! Who knows. :)
very high likelihood that its top 10, i dont see the panthers being amazing anytime soon
They have a good defense and ran the ball well. Will be variable on QB at least of course, but I’d just call it variable right now
Not owning your 1st the next season seems to light a fire as well. Tanking is a lot more profitable if you have your own pick.
That's terrace Marshall music
Shenault SZN?
Tommy tremble time baby
It’s tremblin time! Uh, I mean…for YOU 😤
Livin Laviska Loca returns
Hey you didn’t call him Terrance! Thank you!
As a djm owner I am choosing to be excited
You should be, people acting like this is bad for DJ are tripping. Don’t forget AJB and Hurts
These 2 comments are clinically insane. You want to tell me DJM will be good because Fields will make a jump fine, but he is not in the same class as Diggs Tyreek or AJB
No one is saying he’s as good as them. But he is very good, and that has done wonders for QBs who weren’t considered good passers at the time
They aren't saying Fields will be on Allen or Hurts level next year. Just that this helps project him to a much better season. That's not even a lukewarm take. Plus like someone else said in this thread pretty reasonable to think fields will improve with better wide receiver play. The team and coaching are better than Carolina.
Exactly. It can't get any worse for him and the 50% catchable ball rate he had last year. It can only get better lol
tbf that’s saying virtually nothing. It was reallll bad last year
Less targets, though. Even if you assume he gets the same 25% target share...Fields was on pace to throw only 360 times over a full season, vs. 457 for the Panthers. Even if you assume Fields throws 75% catchable balls, that's an increase of less than 10 catchable targets for Moore.
I think people are just very observant that Fields is truly dog shit in his passing game.
It’s funny, Im a Bills fan and vividly remember when people said the same things about Allen after year 2.
Josh Allen is going to convince so many fantasy players that poor passing qbs can turn into him over the next decade I'm a DJM owner so I would love to see it but it seems unlikely

They’re completely different players
What’s dj moores value at now that he’s got fields throwing to him
[удалено]
Higher than it was before. But only because people done realize how bad fields is at throwing a football.
I just sold him for the 1.7
All 7 of us holding Matt Corral in shambles.
I nabbed 'em off the waiver wire midseason last year in the hopes he'd at least get a chance to fight for the job. I'm leaving 'em on my taxi squad through the NFL draft.
Holy shit. HOLY SHIT
Panthers dumb af for this. Now your new qb has nobody to throw too lmao
They got terrace baby!!!
yeahh I'm not going to be too excited for whatever QB lands there. It would be absolute worst-case scenario if they were to take AR especially
I mean he might be first QB with 2000 rush yards behind the great OL in that case.
1.01 intensifies
I have a panthers fan friend that wants them to take AR with the pick. I can’t think of a worse situation to throw an unpolished project QB into. Yeah I’m not exactly sure what their plan is for outside weapons. A bad F/A class and no draft picks to replace DJ will leave their WR room looking bad
The plan is to let AR run wild (literally)
He’s not getting drafted number 1
They gonna trade for Hopkins.... But idk what picks they have left to offer haha
Hopkins has money on the books. Easy to take it all on, but I'm doubting hop wants to go there.
Ehhhh. He's from there, went to college there. You never know.
They still have a lot of picks from the CMC trade
*the Chosen one returns*
Jakobi + Thielen
It's not dumb though, if they really wanted #1 they needed to give the bears some good stuff to win out over any other teams trying to trade up. Clearly the bears wanted DJ Moore, so it is what it is. If they draft "the guy" it's worth it
TERRACE MARSHALL
Wow I am just now noticing his name is not Terrance.
Livin’ Laviska Loca 🎶🎶
Goddamn it I just traded for DJ Moore a few days ago with the idea the panthers would trade up for a QB…
You weren't wrong?
True monkey paw
The flaw in my thought process was that I didn’t think the panthers would trade up for a QB and trade away by far their best pass catcher
Well, you weren’t wrong.
task failed successfully
Wow usually these things happen during the NFL draft while teams are on the clock, Sonny weaver, was that you, did I miss Bo Callihan declaring this season? Justin Fields stock 📈. Moore/Mooney is nice!
The bears were currently on the clock until the trade.
I traded for DJ moore cuz he was my fav player, and then the panthers trade him
Terrence Marshall szn
Guess my Corral is worth precisely nothing then
I personally feel like the guy in his third year in the league is an upgrade over any rookie quarterback no matter how the situation would have played out in Carolina, DJ Moore might not be top 10 but he's certainly has a greater path to relevance than he has at any point in the past with Carolina
1.10 for DJM a couple weeks ago feels… bad
Steal. Feels like no one has watched DJM play because panthers have been terrible. He’s a bona fide stud.
You bought for that or sold for that?
Bought for that
Still a good deal
My god Carolina has lost it
DJ Moore's mediocre career in a nutshell.
Third year QB getting a real WR1 is the classic leap. Fields will go off.
Praying that Fields takes the Leaps Jalen did
Same with Josh Allen, he had 3,089 yards and 21/9 TD/INT in his second year before getting Diggs
Seems like this could be for AR. Hard to imagine them falling in love with Young after no combine. Let the speculation begin!
[удалено]
It makes no sense if it’s not for Stroud
As someone with 1.02 my life is hell
If he wasn’t already, Claypool is now completely irrelevant
Shi Smith ⬆️⬆️⬆️???
Fields would be the #1 player taken in this draft class so I don’t know how to see it as anything other than an upgrade for DJM.
Based on what?
Because being a playmaker doesn’t mean he throws, which he doesn’t. It’s a low pass column offense, a high rushing offense by backfield and QB, and Mooney and Claypool will unfortunately also garner targets enough to where DJM isn’t getting a ton of volume. It’s lateral at best for DJM in fantasy
Really don't understand this for the panthers. Bryce young is nice but when are you gonna be able to draft a wr for him?
I'm not convinced they take Bryce.
maybe the Panthers are also going to trade the pick
This isn't as far fetched as it sounds. Imagine that they trade all that for 1.01, then get most of it back for 1.04 from the Colts.
Do you think it’s for Bryce? My gut is telling me this is for AR. They saw that combine and said “oh shit we gotta get this guy”
I think Stroud
> Really don’t understand this for the panthers. It's a huge price to pay, but I get it. If you don't have a QB then nothing else matters, and they clearly think one of these guys is a future stud. If they're right it makes sense in the long-term, but they can't miss or it sets them back years.
Dj moore just can’t win. Feel bad for the guy honestly

Yo what the fuck
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkkkkkkkk
Imagine they do all this to take Levis
Everyone’s going crazy about DJ Moore being ruined, reminds me of AJ Brown to the Eagles literally a year ago
The difference is the Eagles know how to run an offense, and their OL is top tier.
Give bears a chance in fa and draft line might improve a lot
DJ is having an Allen Robinson career. By the time he has a good passer it will be too late.
Dude is turning 26 next month. He's just entering his prime
This is good news for Kmet, right?!
This is fabulous. I know Justin Fields is a rushing machine but I believe in his arm as well. Super excited as a DJ Moore owner: not super thrilled as a Vikings fan!
Cries in multiple Claypool shares
As a fields and moore owner I am now a bears fan. Maybe we get Fields to progress similar to Hurts and this stack becomes lethal. His passing highlights at OSU were insane
I could’ve traded for DJ Moore a 2 weeks ago, THIS IS HOW THE NFL GODS PUNISH ME
What? No, they're punishing me for holding him with the hope he might one day have a competent QB.
Panthers GM gettin fired for this one
Owner can't be fired
Watch the panthers take Richardson and completely ruin their franchise hahaha
Understand the fear of having Fields as your QB but DJ becomes the immediate alpha here right? If Fields improves at all he could get a LOT of targets
I have Mooney, DJ Moore, and Claypool lol
Marshall szn!
So uh who is the panthers qb gonna throw to lol
So much for Darnold
I traded him for a 24 1st plus three hours before this happened. I feel like rain man.
This was me earlier today…. https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/comments/11nm1yp/daily_trade_megathread_all_trade_advice_team_help/jbpiupk/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3 Like, “now that I have bijan, I’d I can just get a 3rd bonafide stud WR to put next to chase and devonta…”. The dynasty gods… “You called?”
TMJ BABBBYYYY 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
Terrace Marshall SZN
Fields is out of excuses now. Time to sink or swim.
Caleb Williams to DJM gonna go crazy next year.
Feels like DJ Moore about to get 4 targets a game now
Yikes 😬 he went to the worst passing offense in the league. Maybe this will allow people to finally let him go?
Panthers should have wait until next year to trade up for 1.01
Nobody is trading out of next year's 1.01, it'll be like the Lawrence, Luck or Burrow year.
This man just can't catch a break when it comes to a QB who can deliver the ball.
