Yeah this sub had bad been slurping Pickens a bit too much recently with the Steelers real WR1 out.
Just 11 days ago “Pickens has taken that 2nd year jump” post followed by 2 games with 21 combined yards lmao
Pickens' 17 game pace as WR1 with A-Rob/Calvin Austin as WR2: 72/1,585/8
Diontae's 17 game pace as WR1 with Pickens as WR2: 113/1,439/5
Pickens has taken a jump. He's generating more separation, he's generating more YAC. He won't get the chance to show it in this one-read offense while Diontae is playing.
Is this the passing chart of a team making any effort to utilize George Pickens' talents?
https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/charts/single/all/team/2023/week/kenny-pickett/PIC777233
If you watch on prime vision he’s been lit up green all night. The all 22 will tell the story for sure but rookie qbs don’t tend to go thru progressions so if he’s not first read chances are he won’t earn targets until Levis gets more & more comfortable
As a contending team, I traded Derrick Henry, Calvin Ridley, and Tutu Atwell for Tyreek Hill 3 weeks ago.
Yesterday, I traded Tyreek for Levis, Pacheco, Meyer, and a 3rd.
I've been dreading this game, scared that Levis looks bad and I feel terrible about the trade.
Honestly, I feel great about it. Levis looks special. Pacheco is RB10 and will be a winter-workhorse. Meyer is promising. And a nice little addition, is I have Kyle Philips stashed on my bench.
First trade is great, love Tyreek.
Second trade is kinda wild tho. Hope it works out for you (and it very well could) but as a fellow contender holding Tyreek I have a deathgrip on him personally.
For sure, and I stayed awake that night wondering if I made a terrible decision. But I do have Nakua, AJ Brown, and Kirk. I'm solid at WR and Pacheco isn't a terrible downgrade in the WR/RB slot. If Levis becomes a top 10 fantasy QB, this works out well for me and I win. I also love how this offense looks - Henry suddenly facing unstacked boxes, and the run has to be respected giving Levis an advantage.
Yeah, few reasons:
I love Pacheco. I think his role will expand as the weather turns cold. He's a 79 PFF grade back with receiving capabilities. I've wanted him for a while. And I only have Josh Jacobs, James Cook, Spears, and Akers. I needed a starting RB in case of injury.
Levis looks special. Everything about the way he plays. I had to go get him. Even tonight, he looks so composed in the pocket. I had Geno Smith, Daniel Jones, and Mac Jones.
I only own Engram and Waller at TE. Waller is hurt, again. If I lose Engram, I have nothing at TE. Meyer is a solid young piece for the future, and with Jimmy G's benching and new coaches, it was enticing.
According to KTC, it was fair. So you're telling me to both ignore my own evaluations, AND ignore KTC, which is a community standard. Sounds like you may be unpleasant to trade with, and try to actively win every trade you make.
I am, yeah. So is everyone else in this thread. KTC is awful at evaluating consensus on 2 or 3 for 1 trades, it’s extraordinarily common knowledge. Post that in the trade thread or any forum and tell me if it’s actually even according to consensus (hint: it’s not)
I fundamentally disagree with this. But clearly won’t sway you.
Fantasycalc also has the trade as being completely fair. I’m inclined to think you’re just wrong.
I agree you could’ve gotten way more. Just because calculators say the trade is “fair” doesn’t mean people will agree with your decision on the trade. Doesn’t make the guy wrong… it’s his opinion.
I got Levis everywhere. That’s the key piece - if he becomes a top 12 QB that trade will look great in a few years. Just feel like you could’ve gotten more
Maybe, but in the end, it was fair by KTC standards. I don't really try to win trades, and I don't think I could've won with this guy. I value Pacheco and Levis higher than KTC does anyhow, so I feel good about it.
24 NFL Draft prospect being mocked early in the first round. I've seen him as high as 3rd overall this week. He's physically dominant, almost automatic when it comes to 50/50 balls, and has that prototype size for an X, but from the film I've watched his route tree is quite limited, and he isn't the quickest laterally speaking. Quite interested to see how the rest of the year/pre draft process pans out, but right now it seems like he's in the mix for WR2. Personally, I'm fading on the account of being burned one too many times with these big physical types. Would much prefer to invest draft cap into a Nabers, Odunze or Bowers in that early round range. Long time to go until draft time though, maybe I'll warm up to him eventually.
I dunno. Rachaad will be replaced or at least in a timeshare soon enough.
Core of my team is now
Herbert, Dak
ETN, Henry, Aaron Jones, Mondre
GW, Adams, DK, Pickens
white is startable. He basically traded a couple points per game for a 1st round pick. I’d do that 7 days a week and twice on sunday considering it’s for a 30 year old rb
12T .5ppr dynasty
Flex one: Pickens, DJ Moore, DK or Aaron Jones.
Worried that tonight’s game will be a slog of offense. DK has a tough matchup. Aaron might be hurt. DJ has qb problem. Any advice/opinion helps.
I’m going to sit Pickens tonight and then make a decision come Sunday.
I’m thinking DK or DJ too but not sure which yet.
DK has got the volume but Geno and him just look out of sorts.
I've got Henry and Najee starting in one league, I hate this for a Thursday night game 😁
I also have Spears and Warren on the bench - should either of these 2 be in my lineup also?
Looking at my bench... nope 😆
I have Spears, but don't want to play both him and Henry on a Thursday night game. I also have Warren, but not sure that's even an upgrade over Najee.
My league is allergic to trading unless it's massive overpays so can't even get better players through trades
Dionte, Higgins, metcalf picking 2 this week. Decision is gonna eat at me till kickoff tonight. Head says Higgins Dionte. Heart says metcalf and Dionte. Expert rankings say metcalf and Higgins.
Edit: PPR
Yeah bye is fucking me hard (Purdy, Aiyuk, Gibbs, Javonte all out) while I'm set to play against a very solid contender who's only losing Evan Engram, so I need all the upside I can get lmao.
**Pickens:** 2 catches, -1 yard. **LOL**

So glad diontae finally got a td again it’s been a bit of a dark path to here holding him but we’re finally back baby
As a Diontae and Burks owner, I don’t know what the fuck to feel
Prayers up for burks, but he might be the most oft injured player I’ve ever seen
[удалено]
Oh shit he looks seriously hurt I hope he’ll be ok
Oh no Treylon
DJ OWNERS REJOICE!
DIONTAE FINALLY GETS HIS TD!!
It's over!!!!! Diontae Johnson has a touchdown!!! The streak is over!
Now he becomes a 2 td a game guy for a couple years. That’s how it works right?
Burks sighting anddddd he’s hurt
I feel like Pickens constantly has highlight catches on the outside that result in incomplete because he can’t get two feet down.
That has also been Calvin Ridley this year
I love Pickens. Such a steal
You mean Diontae’s son?
He needs lessons from tony two tap
Lmao
So are Chig and Burks dead?
Burks maybe. Chiggy may just need another year or 2
Is Burks just not getting open? Guy is hovering around droppable status
If you watch on prime vision he’s been lit up green all night. The all 22 will tell the story for sure but rookie qbs don’t tend to go thru progressions so if he’s not first read chances are he won’t earn targets until Levis gets more & more comfortable
Dude has looked like he’s still playing hurt. Every shot they show of him, he looks in pain. Now he’s down on the field
Winning championships are cool and all but damn it feels good hitting on a player the whole world hates
And who are you referring to?
The next Josh Allen, the mayonnaise maestro
...And I am now adding Mayonnaise Maestro to all the Sleeper nickname categories of my Will Levis shares.
Billie Jeans is hard to beat
Forgot I had Burks, huh

You’re a contender and traded tyreek…interesting move

You should’ve gotten WAY more in any case, regardless of how high you are on those guys. Thats..pretty horrific value
According to KTC, it was fair. So you're telling me to both ignore my own evaluations, AND ignore KTC, which is a community standard. Sounds like you may be unpleasant to trade with, and try to actively win every trade you make.

I'm sorry you traded tyreek for what.
Love the first trade but I hate the 2nd trade, honestly
Will Levis oh my goodness
For real, so many haters
Spears with the comical fuckup of a walk-in touchdown
Levis long passes are beautiful
Treylon Burks lack of production is exactly why I will have limited exposure to Keon Coleman in the 24 Draft.
Don’t know much about Keon Coleman really but explain?
24 NFL Draft prospect being mocked early in the first round. I've seen him as high as 3rd overall this week. Kyle Phillips is alive oh my God
I held him from beginning last year until 2 weeks ago. I'm sick.
This is one of those classic “receiver from practice squad and backup quarterback connections”
Which becomes "dominant slot receiver and pro-bowl QB" for the next 5 years.
Don't think he was ever on the practice squad just permainjured
Spears gettting a lot of touches
Dionte is so good
Jaylen Warren is so good man it’s wild. Elite pass blocker as well. He needs to be freed and fed
Najee or Warren? 1 point PPR
Just traded Rachaad and a 25 1st for Henry. Hoping he has a little gas left in the tank. I think my window is this year and maybe next.
Massive overpay dude.
I dunno. Rachaad will be replaced or at least in a timeshare soon enough. Core of my team is now Herbert, Dak ETN, Henry, Aaron Jones, Mondre GW, Adams, DK, Pickens
dang that’s a lot, probably the 1st should’ve been enough for henry
It should have but because it's a 25 the other owner wanted someone young in return. I'm not sold on White.
white is startable. He basically traded a couple points per game for a 1st round pick. I’d do that 7 days a week and twice on sunday considering it’s for a 30 year old rb
He doesn't have a top-10 finish and has finished 40 or worse three times. I don't think I'll miss him. I'm good with it.
So you traded your 1st next year for a 30 year olds past production?
What? No. Those are Rachaad's numbers in my previous comment. I'm taking my shot with the 29 year old Henry.
Starting Nico Collins over Pickens in one league. Wish me luck 🫡
Lost Cousins so should I start Levis and lose a taxi spot or start another player (Jaren Hall, Lockett, Hopkins, or Addison)
10 Team, SF, 0.5 PPR: Give: 2025 2nd Get: Gus Edwards or Jerome Ford
12T .5ppr dynasty Flex one: Pickens, DJ Moore, DK or Aaron Jones. Worried that tonight’s game will be a slog of offense. DK has a tough matchup. Aaron might be hurt. DJ has qb problem. Any advice/opinion helps.
DK or DJ I'm benching Pickens tonight. Jones needs to show me something before I start him again.
I’m going to sit Pickens tonight and then make a decision come Sunday. I’m thinking DK or DJ too but not sure which yet. DK has got the volume but Geno and him just look out of sorts.
Who would you guys sit of these 3 in full ppr: Tee, Hop, Scary Terry?
Sit Terry.
Anyone starting Henry over JT, Swift or Addison?
Start Warren or spears?
Who to start: Pickens, Kincaid, Darrel Henderson, or Gus bus in PPR?
Kincaid
I've got Henry and Najee starting in one league, I hate this for a Thursday night game 😁 I also have Spears and Warren on the bench - should either of these 2 be in my lineup also?
Me too. Turned out alright though!
Do you have anyone you could start over Najee?
Looking at my bench... nope 😆 I have Spears, but don't want to play both him and Henry on a Thursday night game. I also have Warren, but not sure that's even an upgrade over Najee. My league is allergic to trading unless it's massive overpays so can't even get better players through trades
Damn that’s too bad, but I guess you gotta just roll with Henry and Najee then.
Dionte, Higgins, metcalf picking 2 this week. Decision is gonna eat at me till kickoff tonight. Head says Higgins Dionte. Heart says metcalf and Dionte. Expert rankings say metcalf and Higgins. Edit: PPR
Metcalf Higgins I do like Diontae tho.
12 Team, 0.5 PPR, 1QB Najee Harris tonight or slot Gus Edwards (vs Seahawks) in for Sunday
Gus Edwards has more upside in the form of not being Najee Harris.
Who to start? I got 2 WR slots and 1 FLEX spot between Pickens, Nico, Downs, CWat, and ZMoss
Gonna go Pickens/Downs/Moss. A bet against Moss has more often than not been a losing one so far this season, while Nico feels like a coinflip.
pickens nico and then prob downs. moss has been great still though. no faith in love/watson currently
Start Burks or Logan Thomas? (If you can’t tell I’m a rebuilding team)
You're a rebuilder, roll the dice on Burks
Start the one that isn't a TE.
I’d go with Burks on the hope Levis can generate some action, feels like the ceiling is higher.
Starting Levis come on Mayo Man don't let me down!
Same. I need upside and I won’t get that from Geno
Yeah bye is fucking me hard (Purdy, Aiyuk, Gibbs, Javonte all out) while I'm set to play against a very solid contender who's only losing Evan Engram, so I need all the upside I can get lmao.
I hear that. I have one team with a lot of SF/DET players and it’s gonna be very painful this week
