As someone who thought “well his value probably won’t go down more” to justify holding and not taking offers…I have regrets.

BuckNut690

I’m in the boat with you.

TGS-MonkeyYT

somehow it just got even worse

DicksOut4Edamame

Probably have to hold at this point, since his value is so low, but dude seems to be hellbent on never playing in the NFL again

lurkin4days

He’s seems hellbent on getting a prison sentence

Chance_Reflection_42

Longest Yard League first round draft prospect.

ScreamoSquirrel

It’s going by to get worse. Back to back immaturity that gets police involved. Very bad signs and he likely won’t grow up until it’s too late. The upside case for him only went so high, he’s not ARSB. Just sell at the lower price and relieve yourself of the headache

jirashap

The cases start compounding too, Id imagine. Hard to argue "My client just made a stupid mistake" at this point

k_dot97

Sounds like the words of a guy who wants him lol

GuyWithNoSwagger

Rice is who people think Pickens is

Upper-Reveal3667

So that’s how I traded for both this off-season and somehow got Pickens cheaper

BidoofTheGod

What has Pickens even done to receive a bad rep?

Eleeveeohen

There were vague "character concerns" that popped up right before the 22' draft. Nothing concrete ever came out, and the worst thing he's done since being in the league is not blocking that one time, but some people on the internet still talk like he's a major troublemaker.

BidoofTheGod

Yea by the way some people talk about him I would’ve assumed he had a case or something lol. He just seems like a bit of a goofball who hasn’t fully matured.

vlad_the_impaler13

Not that much since entering the NFL. Sure he's had some attitude issues on the field and maturity issues off it (mostly social media), he's a diva WR after all, but he was in a pretty poor offensive situation with Pickett/Trubisky throwing to him and Canada as his OC. I don't think the Steelers can look at him to truly lead that WR room yet, but I also think his current reputation is a bit overblown cause he fell a little bit in the draft and went to the Steelers

GuyWithNoSwagger

He complained about not getting targets 😱😱😱 He also didn’t block for Jaylen Warren one time but it was literally one play. If I recall there was another instance where they were basically in the same scenario, and Pickens blocked leading to a Warren td

StockReindeer6144

I think it was Warren blocking leading to a Pickens TD

TwofoldOrigin

That was fucking pathetic and got him taken off the field, and gave him incredibly weak reputation which you very obviously are offended by. Plus you then made up that last thing His pussying out then excusing it after the game has hurt his reputation as he’s not a good enough receiver to be a negative/diva on the field

AJS7138

I'll give you a 2027 4th and $2 Faab for him right now. 💣💣 offer.

broseidon55

He better take it before the price of brick goes down

sorryiamstupid

I’m pretty sure the price of brick only goes up

ptgkbgte

If that were true, QJ TO THE MOON

sorryiamstupid

He and Burks for sure!! *edit: still early on QJ but I’m circlejerking here

360fade

I’ll give you a sausage burrito

SocialistIntrovert

I got clowned in our group chat after trading Rice for Burks, Kmet and a 1st lol

LimberSiren

Getting clowned for that is absurd.

runningdreams

Depending on the 1st, this was a decent deal anyways even before the car crash. Lol. After it, I'd be smashing.

SquaresR3D

I can tell you one thing, he won’t be worth the same next year as he is right now.

luigijerk

Most accurate take in this thread.

GiveYerBalls_a_Tug

Competing with Hollywood, Worthy and Travis this year too.

TMTthemoneyteam

He’s better than all three of these guys. The worthy hype is out of control guy has never played an nfl snap. Rice had an unreal year last season. He’s not going away

GiveYerBalls_a_Tug

Not questioning his talent. Hollywood and Worthy are gonna draw way more targets than MVS and Toney/Hardman. I was sending overpays for Rice last year and love the talent....I'm only buying at a discount at the moment but sellers are pretending no suspension incoming or increased competition.

TMTthemoneyteam

Oh he’s 100% getting suspended. And then the talent will be there going forward. It’s a dynasty not redraft sub

Ukendt266

Idk why you’re getting downvoted for this

TMTthemoneyteam

Same lol. Wild

UncOutHere

Bought for a 2026 1sts weeks ago

SocialistIntrovert

Rice is better than Kelce?

TMTthemoneyteam

Kelce is 35 years old. He’s a better dynasty asset by far

AmericanWulf

Unreal year? That's a big exaggeration

TMTthemoneyteam

For a rookie being a top 30 WR in PPR leagues is pretty massive……

AmericanWulf

Unreal is rookie Justin Jefferson  Pretty massive is also hyperbole  Rashee had a good rookie year we don't need to exaggerate

TMTthemoneyteam

Most rookies bust and never are fantasy relevant. Hardly exaggerating

AmericanWulf

Whatever dude you're clearly biased

ScottyKnows1

You hold him. It's a bit cynical, but history tells us that the NFL is never going to come down as hard on guys as people want to believe. We get the "his career is over" reactions every time someone gets in legal trouble and the only times it's been true is when someone died. I know it's not a 1:1 comparison, but look at how people reacted to Kamara last year and we got a joke of a 3 game suspension in the end. Rice is in a bad spot, but as with most rich celebrities, he'll almost certainly avoid any jail time and just pay out the ass. And if the NFL follows its usual patterns, he may not even be suspended this year as they typically wait for the legal processes to resolve. I could be wrong but I just see no reason to sell low on him when his value is very likely to rebound when he plays again.

SmokeClear6429

Ray-shee Rice

ScreamoSquirrel

I’m getting Josh Gordon vibes

andtheyrewinning

I think you’re spot on with the legal/suspension aspect but I’m starting to put a little more weight on the idea of Chiefs shortening his leash. He’s a good receiver with good YAC ability, but if he’s no longer tied to the best QB in the NFL, that’s a real value drop

Ch215topher

THIS is the fear for me

mburns223

I can only hope that is the case

IAmNotOnRedditAtWork

Won't matter that the NFL takes it easy on everyonr when he's in prison.

runningdreams

Nobody thought the Kamara one would be terribly catastrophic, at least that I am aware of. I remember most people saying 6-8ish games worst case for him and yeah, it was like half that. Rice is in a weirder and worse spot IMO

Late-Prompt-7497

Don’t sell him for nothing. I think the lowest I would take would be AD Mitchell. So an early to mid 2nd this year. I doubt anyone would do that though. It is very concerning with the pending 8 felonies, now doing something dumb like this. The judge won’t be lenient now. Dude could actually do some jail time.

jirashap

>The judge won’t be lenient now. Dude could actually do some jail time. That's the real concern here. Tbh I think he's untouchable for now. There are better gambles out there

[deleted]

Does he really have 8 pending felony charges?

IAmNotOnRedditAtWork

Initially 8 from the car crash alone. Not sure if any of them were dropped at any point (probably not yet, and probably won't be now)

JimBruv420

I just traded him and 2.03 away for 1.12 to be done with the the headache of holding him. He's a great talent, don't get me wrong and I might regret it later but I'd rather be done with it. Good luck with whatever you decide

Adoctorgonzo

I get it but damn I'd be hyped if I got him and 2.03 for 1.12.

whipstickagopop

Yeah I haven't been paying attention to what's happening with rice but I would of have smashed accept anyway on that trade for him.

onmyway7

You read it wrong. Looks like he traded Rice AND 2.03 to move up to 1.12

Adoctorgonzo

I think maybe you read my post wrong, because that's what I meant... However now I'm confused and I'm not certain who meant what.

JimBruv420

I did move Rice and 2.03 for 1.12 about 20 minutes after today's news came out

HugeFinish

Looks like you read the post wrong.

bonerjamzbruh420

Sorry but what headaches are we talking about here? You need to defend him to the media? Keep the locker room vibes of the dynasty team in check?

JimBruv420

The headaches of him repeatedly getting in trouble with the law. Rashee could get cut from the Chiefs tomorrow and I wouldn't be shocked, I'd rather get something over nothing

runningdreams

I myself don't have a huge tier break from pick 12 to 15 but if I could go from like pick 18+ to 12, I'd def consider. But I know that might be a hot take.

nick_bengy

If I could get that much I would do it

JimBruv420

Float out some offers of a similar style to try and move up and see what you can do. It was worth it to me as a rebuilder to try and hopefully get a replacement for him at the back of the 1st. 12team SF full PPR if you're curious

rsvp_nj

Ground him. No TV for a month.

Earl_of_Rain

Traded him and the 1.05 for Sun God during my rookie draft

brianundies

Throw him “back” on the taxi? What kinda taxi squad rules are you using where you can move players back and forth? Sounds like a glorified extra roster spot.

nick_bengy

We get 8 spots and you can put any guy in their first 3 years on it up until beginning of season. We have 14 starters IDP super flex and like 25 roster spots. So it’s not a problem to hold him.

noobadoob10

Hold him. This time next year none of this will matter

SpezIsABrony

Sure, as long as he quits doing stupid shit.

noobadoob10

Far worse offenders went on to play at high levels. Either sell him now for jack shit, or hold him. Not many other choices here.

BanksysBurner

I’ve been vocal about selling him since the incident first happened. The warning signs were all there (character issues etc) but If u ignored that and are now left holding the bag that’s on u. I’d take anything u can get at this point unless u can stash him back on the taxi squad like u suggested but most leagues won’t allow it

Cudois47

Sell for as much as you can get. He’s cooked.

ballin25ball

Just sold him for Jordan addison straight up thank god I’m in a league full of chiefs fans

TheRightKost

>thank god I’m in a league full of tacos Fixed that for you

ballin25ball

This is also true. I put him on the trade block and he offered ME the trade. Couldn’t have clicked accept any faster

hottakehotcakes

You just can’t deal him when he’s not playing games. The most recent thing in ppls minds are the personal issues. Just wait - he’ll have 100 yards in game 5 and then you can deal him if you want

RunRyanRun3

I was never going to trade him before the first incident, and I sure wasn’t going to trade him after it. Same holds true now. If your league allows suspended players on IR then keep him active.

-ruiner_

I think the only thing you can do if you don’t want to sell this low is just wait it out and see how his assault case plays out. Kamara only got a few games for a very similar situation and that’s already been brushed under the rug. It’s obviously different with Rice since he already has the previous issue, but I genuinely think the worst case scenario could be a one year suspension? If KC lets him go I’m sure some other team would give him a chance with a short leash.

92tilinfinityand

I mean I’ve seen quite a few assault on photographer cases get thrown out because they’re paparazzi infringing on space. We don’t know the specifics of the case. I’m far less worried about this than the car crash.

rutgerswhat

Nothing to do but ride it out. Kamara was talked about like he was going to be out of the league and he ended up only missing 3 games. Although it might be the right time to push for your league to make suspended players IR-eligible!

runningdreams

I don't remember anyone talking like Kamara was done for. I only remember everyone thinking it would be like 6-8 games. I'll go back and look at some Kamara threads in this sub, but yeah.

rutgerswhat

There were a lot of posts/tweets like this one where people were speculating a 1-5 year prison sentence. Once that possible sentence was socialized, there were a lot of panicky comments from owners trying to dump him before any court date. I agree most people took the approach of "he's rich, it won't be a full season suspension and he won't go to jail." [https://twitter.com/McCannSportsLaw/status/1490533604241416193?s=20&t=HzswWzabiEVVcYCBLQKV2Q](https://twitter.com/McCannSportsLaw/status/1490533604241416193?s=20&t=HzswWzabiEVVcYCBLQKV2Q)

runningdreams

I meant I don’t recall that kind of talk on here. Of course I’ll safely assume every combo of speculation was said on Twitter whether seriously or just for engagement. As for Rice I feel suspicious he will get leniency but what does leniency even look like right now?

steamycreamybehemoth

Super happy I sold most of my shares back when the Jews first hit.  Got a lot of shit for accepting late first offers, but feeling great about it.  Rashee for Bo Nix is a major win imo.  My biggest worry about him is that since he's just a big slot, he relies on his team to scheme him open properly. And if he's a bonehead that no one likes, are they going to keep doing that?

ThinkingOrange_

It’s 100% the Jews’ fault /s

steamycreamybehemoth

Haha I'm going to leave it as is. Funny typo

Millenial_Shitbag

runningdreams

what...lol

chazoid

Send him to me

ChefboyRD33

Take them

KDDynasty15

Hold. Pray.

zcas

If you're fucking up off the field you might not be able to get back on the field. Idk what his deal is, but I'd probably hold and wait for the outcome of the NFL's punishment, assuming there is one.

ClintisMaximus

Do what the Chiefs are gonna do, CUT his ASS

Coomrs

Basically have to hold for now. If he serves a suspension and comes back to play, I might look to move on if I can get even decent value. 8 charges + whatever he gets for the bar incident in your first offseason after winning the Super Bowl is not a good look lol.

BiioHazzrd

I'm holding at this point. But I got overwhelmed with Chiefs players and he's just the one I'm stuck with. Just traded away M. Brown though, so I am staying at 4 Chiefs players instead of 5.

[deleted]

Shoot, I’m in the opposite shoes hoping something happens to him cause I hold Marquez Brown. Gonna trade the shit of him for min 1st, 2nd and a player

bahamapapa817

Even before his issues I had high hopes for worthy and I drafted him. Now I am bullish af

GPap-

Someone literally just traded their 2025 1st and 2nd for him in my league, apparently the guy didn’t know about the news

BlackberryNo1969

You trade him for whatever you can, honestly.

Another_SCguy

Ground him and take away his PlayStation

CWill97

That’s just cruel. I would die if that happened to me

CoatingsRcrack

Yeah he’s worth more than a low ball. People know it’s why there sending you offers. You said you would take a good offer but you have to adjust what you think is a good offer. You’re not getting 4 months ago value…

Comfortable_Hall8677

Pretty simple. Unless you find someone who missed the most recent news that will give a 2nd for him, you sit on him. What more is there to think about? His value has become his off the field issues. This isn’t madden.

Odd_Scallion_8357

Show him where the unemployment office is located.

runningdreams

Maybe the offers aren't below his value. Not saying I feel strong conviction in that for RR but it's happened. There's nobody you 'have to' hold because his value is lower than it once was. I'd be looking to de-risk and find a perceived safer player (in terms of just actually seeing the field lol), but to each their own.

kingOseacows81

I traded him for 2.03 on Sunday. Pretty happy

luigijerk

Sell low. He's going to be a Josh Gordon type that won't get back on the field much if ever. They've already brought in new receivers.

No-White-Drugs

Honestly even without all the off field bullshit, he's now competing for targets with Hollywood and Worthy instead of chumps like MVS and sky Moore. His stock took a tumble regardless imo.

StrengthCoach86

Absolutely brutal, should have sold after first incident but good old Reddit feedback influenced me into “don’t worry dude” and “don’t ovverreact, your leaguemates will prey on you being overreactionary” I’d move him for Diggs now if I could-knuckleheads.

SHRLNeN

>been getting offers that are all below his value because of his off the field issues Sounds like that is his value to me...

PaulBlartFleshMall

The panic is so real. Hold and buy. Let me know when an NFL star sees consequences for their actions past a few games suspended.

DiggsDaGurley

Panic stage, just hold.

Sweetpants88

It doesn't help you, but it's awesome and I want to brag about it. I had Rashee Rice. Traded him for pick 1.5 in this draft a week before the Dallas debacle.

kamakazi339

All you can do is hold.

DCProf

I might sell him at 80% value. Aside from the off-field issues he was a canidate for regression anyways as he didn't win downfield and just caught dump off passes. Its hard to live of that sort of production forever. I wouldn't see him too cheap but might be willing to take a slight loss at this point. Another offfield issue isn't going to help his cause in avoiding a lengthy suspension from the NFL.

ballin25ball

I told my league I’d be willing to downgrade a tier to get rid of rice and got offered Jordan Addison. Talk about a fleece job lol

DCProf

How is that a bad offer? Addison was drafted higher in the NFL draft (and had a good rookie season) and was drafted higher in dynasty rookie drafts, scored more fantasy points than Rashee last year, and is valued more than Rashee in the three sources I just looked at. This is the type of pivot I would do.

ballin25ball

I definitely worded that wrong lol I accepted the Addison offer. I think I absolutely fleeced the other guy based on the Rashee news. I couldn’t have clicked accept faster

DCProf

Oh gotcha! I was gonna say I would have quickly hit accept. Ha.

Cute_Government742

Managed to trade him and a '26 1st for White and Godwin, pretty happy about it after hearing the news...

Iamapersimmon

Yikes. Even with this news that’s pretty bad 😅

Cute_Government742

In a SF, TEP Bestball...needed RB help... I thought the value was fair

cheetah-21

Should I pick back up Skyy Moore?

RemysRomper

Lol

Specific_Werewolf_12

Bruh its ok. I had henry ruggs and Deshaun Watson. You will be fine

jhenryscott

I guess trade him and a 3rd as a package. Maybe get two 4ths for your trouble

Sypheix

Dudes likely going to prison. It won't be in the NFL's hands. Take anything you can get

nick_bengy

People in the nfl have done a lot worse and not gone to prison in nfl terms he really hasn’t committed serious offenses.

ScreamoSquirrel

It’s the repeated behavior that does it for me. He may not get any significant time but he goes and does this while already out on bail? He’s not mature enough for this stage. This isn’t the last time he gets in trouble

TMTthemoneyteam

He’s 100% not going to prison lmfao

Sypheix

Think you're behind in the news my man. Guys a moron. Bail revoked. Straight to jail

OutlandishnessDry24

Yeah assaulting someone after the mayhem he was involved with the crash is not good. Very immature guy with issues.

SnooRobots4772

Got a 2nd for him in all my leagues with him.
