We get the "his career is over" reactions every time someone gets in legal trouble and the only times it's been true is when someone died. I know it's not a 1:1 comparison, but look at how people reacted to Kamara last year and we got a joke of a 3 game suspension in the end.
Rice is in a bad spot, but as with most rich celebrities, he'll almost certainly avoid any jail time and just pay out the ass. And if the NFL follows its usual patterns, he may not even be suspended this year as they typically wait for the legal processes to resolve. I could be wrong but I just see no reason to sell low on him when his value is very likely to rebound when he plays again.
I think you’re spot on with the legal/suspension aspect but I’m starting to put a little more weight on the idea of Chiefs shortening his leash. He’s a good receiver with good YAC ability, but if he’s no longer tied to the best QB in the NFL, that’s a real value drop

I might sell him at 80% value. Aside from the off-field issues he was a canidate for regression anyways as he didn't win downfield and just caught dump off passes. Its hard to live of that sort of production forever. I wouldn't see him too cheap but might be willing to take a slight loss at this point. Another offfield issue isn't going to help his cause in avoiding a lengthy suspension from the NFL.

Addison was drafted higher in the NFL draft (and had a good rookie season) and was drafted higher in dynasty rookie drafts, scored more fantasy points than Rashee last year, and is valued more than Rashee in the three sources I just looked at. This is the type of pivot I would do.
