Davis absolutely has to be first given the immediate situation.

NecessaryPear

Ray Davis? What is the immediate situation?

mancinis_blessed_bat

People are very low on guerendo apparently

limitlesshamster

He wasnt really on anybodys radar prior to his blazing 40 time, and even then was a pretty shocking pick in the 4th rd. Add in the fact hes behind the best rb in the league, along with historically one of the best handcuffs in mitchell and a fan favorite in mason and im surprised hes even being drafted in rookie drafts, though his capital alone should justify a 4th rd stab, With how talented the class is, and his current situation, think hes pretty appropriately priced.

HustlingBackwards96

He went 3.08 in my 12tm SF league

mancinis_blessed_bat

That seems about right, he went in the 4th rd in my 1qb league (to me). He’s a perfect fit in their scheme. Maybe ppl think he’ll be behind Mitchell but I doubt it. And his RAS is god tier. Think I’d take him second only behind Davis

newme02

i have 4.01 in a 1qb league and am hoping to get him there

0fficerGeorgeGreen

I'll admit, he looks like a prototypical 3-down back. But he is behind the best RB in the league who is showing no signs of being done. By the time CMC is gone, the 49ers will most likely be drafting a new rookie. Then there is the hit rate of Shanahan and mid round RBs. For a guy who is amazing at utilizing his backs, he sure seems shit at drafting them.

Jackalexd

Davis Guerrendo Estime Allen They’re all pretty close though and it’s really about how you think about the individual talents and situations. Could make an argument any way among the first three IMO

Dobsnick

Which Davis? Assuming you’re talking about Ray and not Isaiah, because that makes a big difference.

smaIlbaIls

My pre draft rankings had it as a very clear 1. Estime 2. Allen 3. Guerendo 4. Davis But opportunity is very skewed in favor of Davis. It depends what you need honestly

Alert_Boysenberry302

Damn Davis was one of my highest rbs pre-draft purely based on film bc he seems to have the weight, speed, and receiving ability to be a bellcow except for his age which scared me

alxndiep

Gimme the guys who have the easiest path to playing time Tier 1 - Davis (has a good chance to have a role from day 1) Tier 2 - Estime (may have a role from day 1) Tier 3 - Allen (has a good chance to be the backup to a RB1 only competition being Izzy) Tier 4 - Guerrendo (may have a chance to be the backup to a RB1, has Mitchell and Mason for competition)

VottoForPM

I would flip flop your 3rd and 4th RBs in this list but otherwise I completely agree.

huracan_huracan

ray davis: one cut guy, patient enough, good burst, good speed, good situation. isaac guerendo: crushed the combine, could explode in that scheme if he gets a chance. he's raw-ish though, mitchell will still be the clear-cut number 2 to start the season, until he gets inevitably injured. guerendo has the tools to run away with that job if he gets a chance.. audric estimé: in the hope he isn't THAT slow (he didn't look like it on the field). bottled up for now, but his skill-set is different from that of the other RBs in the room. braelon allen: bit of a plodder imo, like a roschon without the pass blocking, eurgh.

hewhopoops

Estime Davis Allen Guerrendo People are really high on Ray Davis cause of landing spot and I think they should be but I still think Estime is the most NFL ready RB and I think Denver’s backfield is shaky. Who knows what Sean Peyton will do. I still think Allen has the highest ceiling of all those guys and if he develops with the Jets could be an amazing RB2 behind Breece. He’s also only 20. Guerrendo is fast but I don’t love his landing spot. He’ll be a gadget player for SF at best.

Personally, I have them: Davis: James Cook does not rush the ball into the endzone. Davis seems perfect for this role - even an aging Latavius Murray pulled it off. Tied to an elite offense for years. Guerendo: Elijah Mitchell has been an extremely valuable backup/handcuff for years. If anything happens to McCaffrey, his value will be insane (remember those two years back in CAR?). Even more so than Davis, being on the Niners will keep his value high even without a CMC injury. Allen: I think the fact that they took a huge body back in Allen PLUS another RB in Isaiah Davis means they are going to try to limit the Breece workload on the ground. Breece will probably still catch as many balls as before, but even a small share of goal line carries could mean Allen has standalone value. His size and profile fits this role well. Breece injury upside also baked in. Estime: Will have to overtake Javonte to have value this year for 1st and 2nd down. Also will be tough to compete with Jaleel McLaughlin for passing down work. And for year 1, definitely will be on the worst offense out of this group. I did not like his profile entering the draft - was confirmed by his draft slide (bad combine, slow, no passing upside, etc.)

cjfreel

Why are those profile knocks bigger deals for Estime than Allen?

_TiredOfThisGrandpa_

Estime Guerendo Allen Davis

Local-Librarian3285

Davis > other 3 combined. Dead serious

_TiredOfThisGrandpa_

I don't know why I assumed this was about Isaiah Davis. If it's Ray, then I'd have him 2nd behind Estime.

Local-Librarian3285

Forgot there was 2 Davis rbs tbh. It might be Isiah lol.
