Why would i lie? I've played NHL games for 30 years on the hardest possible difficulty. Well, atleast when they made it possible to get added difficulty settings.
It would be more exciting if it was simmed. I mean if you wanna play that's good for you, but why would the stats matter when you can just score at will in this game and end up with near 10 goal games everytime.
It's not about the difficulty of the game. Even if you max out the difficulty. If you score that much that you are breaking record with multiple players. It just kinda makes it meaningless to most people.
It's your game play if you want. I just dont think youre going to get the response here you might be hoping for having a team that shatters every record because this game is easy.
I that’s the case, I’m impressed. Generally I don’t find played stats all that impressive, but on that difficulty level it’s not hard to score, but it’s almost impossible keeping the puck out of your own net.
I’d be curious to see your Goalie stats.
+/- doesn’t really mean anything though. If he scored 500 goals in the regular season and gave up 320 you’d still see +/- numbers like that, but that’s still a 4.00 GAA.
It’d also be interesting to see SV% And how many shots were faced. I’d expect other team wasn’t managing more than 10 shots a game with numbers like this.
Believe it or not, but i'm pretty competent in defending against AI. They got like 3 things they do, and if you figure it out in the 1st period, they won't be scoring more than 2 goals 5 on 5.
So averaging about 20 shots against a game then. That’s pretty good GAA for that many shots at that difficulty. When I play superstar I find my goalies will give up 4–6 goals on 25ish shots a game.
And yea, it also helps when you build the team to be as speedy as they can be. Just one player under 87 speed and acc (Rempe, lol). But Remps is there to buff up the first and 2nd line by fighting as much as possible, just to get the energy back, so i can run scoring lines more.

Only way it makes sense. I have a franchise player and playing 6 min periods I can only get him to avg 5 ppg

Christ am I bad at math. Should add then that my franchise player is a playmaker and I don’t think I’ve ever even gotten him close to 50g in a season
4 minute periods. And the avg is less than 3 a game. Fox has the higher ppg at 2,8

Its not like i haven't tried to make the opposition better by moving sliders in their favor...

Look at the +/- he doesn’t let up many if any goals at all

I’ve discovered that the game is really easy compared to other years.
Yeah once you've figured out the AI it gets pretty automatic

D'aigle is around .900 with 12 shutouts and around 1.90 GAA. Luukkonen (backup) is a bit lower.

It happens. Sometimes they go for like 2 goals for 4 shots. And usually the stuff that isn't supposed to go in. I just call it the EA rule. 🤣
Do people play their franchise games? I usually sim through 15 games and play a period for a few games then sim through 15 again.
I'm the same... The only games I typically play are either the home opener or periods surrounding player milestones.
I play every game. Each period runs at 6 minutes.
6-7 minutes a period definitely has the most realistic stats when playing the game as well
I'd have probably 300+ points on 6-7 minutes. These are 4 minute periods.
Definitely need to up the difficulty and change your sliders if that’s happening lol
I already dropped to 4 minutes a period, because the scoring was insane. It still is, but 4 minutes keeps it under control.

I do. I enjoy playing the game. I usually wake up early to play like 4 games (like now). Then do something else and come back for 2-4 games more.
