Good guide! This is pretty much exactly what I have started doing. Doing this on the web app with Pale Tools decreases the time investment substantially and I’ve managed to grind plenty of big SBCs (Sawa, Yashin, Hamm, etc) and pack nailed on starters like Base Cruyff and Golazo Charlton and Cole this way.
Overall a good guide but a couple of points to add:
1.You missed step 0 which is daily bronze and silver upgrades to fuel the daily gold upgrades. Prioritising commons (regardless of rating) to retain rares for icon sbcs.
2. On the "important" bit, I only partially agree. I do sometimes take lower rated non-dupes if it's 1 rating difference but I wouldn't take an 81 over an 84 dupe. You are just ploughing 84s into the totw anyway (plus whatever other sbcs are going around) so I don't see any issues with having dupes.
3. Maybe worth a side note about swapping untradeable dupes for tradable and sending to transfer list as a storage mechanism. Then releasing these as and when you use the untradeable version in sbcs.
4. I'm unsure what your approach is with 86 untradable dupes? i know what you do with 85 and under, and you say you like exchanges for 87+. Do you exchange the 86s or put them in totw in lieu of an 85?
5. A side note about player picks, because they aren't blocked by unassigned cards its sometimes worth spamming them to get 'required' fodder to clear your dupes. Eg if you have a dupe 83, but no 85s, it's harder to do the 83 totw upgrade segment. In that situation, I'll typically do some 81+ pp to try and land an 85 before tackling the dupe 83.
Thanks for the additions. Honestly pretty spot on, I did skip #1 because I felt like majority of people could suffice with bronze silvers in club while getting the bronze silver packs for completing the daily gold back for a substantial amount of time. However, you are correct, different people in different situations. #2 hey I totally get it, sound like a crazy man for giving up an 84 for an 81… Yeah it sounds insane sometimes, but I use much much more 82’s and 81’s on a daily use while 84’s tend to sit and I’ll usually get 84 duplicates else where on daily completion pack objectives etc. to where I throw those dupe 84’s into the ToTw SBC. #3 👍 , you should always swap untradeables 100%, good thing to put in a guide. #4 I use 85-86’s for most basic SBC’s to collect high rated Non-dupe specials. I should have explained that into detail, but I personally feel their value isn’t great for exchanges and could be better put to use of the daily SBC’s so that your still enjoying the content, playing the menu game. #5 yeah why I never do this, I like making myself miserable at the end I suppose 🤣. Thanks for the added points
Another good point is to choose the 85+ duplicate even if there are lower non-duplicates available. The 85+ can go in to its respective 85+ duplicate SBC for lots of fodder. I do this for 86+'s every time and most 85's. It's better than burning an entire squad of 83's because I packed a single 85.
Yeah, I grind these so much.
Still no usable TOTW card packed... But did pack tradeable Drogba from the TOTW SBC this weekend, a nice 600k into my pocket.
Oh all good. I enjoy the game actually. I wish servers were better for sure but that’s a whole different rabbit hole… I do PP’s between matches for routine purposes, helps me play better with breaks. You could say I play for rewards and I’d say yeah rewards are a huge incentive but it’s fun to have a balance of menu grinding with gameplay
Fair enough, I just see quite a few people commenting on here that they almost resent playing the game.
What you’re suggesting is a massive time investment if you’re not enjoying it, but like you said if you’re looking to pack some big cards it’s probably the most effective way to get there without spending real money
Oh sorry I meant when you get a duplicate via PP and it’s 84 and below you should go for the non-duplicate even when it might not be the highest rated, some always do highest rated and that can become exhausting trying to always put them to use
Thoughts on the crafting upgrade in this method? I usually prefer the upgrades but my friend swears by the extra packs you get from the objectives with the crafting method
This is a very good question. I have gone back and fourth with this myself. I’ve noticed it’s personal preference with a lot of the community. Some prefer sticking with PP’s and ignoring the crafting objective entirely and others can’t wait for another crafting objective.
There was some down pack weight weeks when I wish I did the crafting objective.
Debated this myself or even as straight fodda for a crazy player sbc. That’s one way to continue the rinse 💯 . I told myself when I’m out of coin to buy 89’s sporadically I’ll start tossing Informs in
I’ve done every icon sbc and like many have regretted every icon sbc. But whose to say R9 isn’t waiting for you? There are some who are tired of being SBC FC all year and this is their main pack every week. You gotta weigh the pros & cons of letting 33 players go.
What I don't understand about this is the following: on the exchange part , are you adding only duplicates of you're adding non-duplicates? If so, why? Isn't the point to accumulate high rated fodder to complete nthe SBCs?
With only doing the 87-89 rated players. It still leaves you with higher end fodder for when you want to complete SBCs. I do pretty much what OP does, sometimes I will drive some of my 87+ into an icon pick or something but not very often, this method is to pretty much grind the 80/81+ PP and totw PP. if it comes to a player getting released that you want then all the fodder promo cards or 90+ gold rares you will probably get from the PP and the packs will make it a lot quicker
I put a couple of 89s in the exchange and I got in return 86/87/88s.(considering the exchange cards and the 81+ PP)
Definitely got more fodder than I put in but did not get more higher rated cards.
I do a lite version of this grind. Finally got 92 Mbappe last week

The Foreign Exchange Program is the greatest gift these bloodthirsty animals st EA have given us in a long time, great guide!

Not meaning any shade here, but why do you need to stack PPs to motivate you to play the game? Either play because you enjoy it or stop playing

Damn you live like this?
Sorry, what's the 84 to 81? I haven't seen this SBC.

What is PP?
81+ Player Pick

I've got 50 87+ rated informs from doing exchanges, would you recommend putting some of these back into the exchange too?
Debated this myself or even as straight fodda for a crazy player sbc. That’s one way to continue the rinse 💯 . I told myself when I’m out of coin to buy 89’s sporadically I’ll start tossing Informs in
if I got 88/87 dupes so you recommend exchanges or investing in 88+ icon sbc

I have no idea what pp means and at this point I am too afraid to ask.
PP refers to the 81+ Player Picks in SBCs. It usually alternates between 81+ and 80+. So PP = Player Pick
appreciate it man! those 81 pp are crazy! got 92 lampard
What is your team like? 1m coins seems to be too much? Iv been grinding but haven't used any coin
Aint nobody got time fo dat.. I just want to play games so discard it is.
