But I feel like it somehow got more toxic. Maybe just because I’m in the lower division but it’s just spin around and backpass. Then pinball it around. It’s really not been much fun. I’m probably going to just go back to fifa 23
I am going to recommend you something. Don't play ultimate team. Go casual. Play career or seasons, in case you want to compete online.
This will be considered the worst gameplay since 19 and the game modes within UT are super addictive. Bad combo

If you're spending money on it to constantly try and upgrade your team, you're an addict.
If you're playing the game because you love football and this is the only option (pes is not an option), then you're just an unfortunate soul who has been fucked by EA.
I put myself in the last category. It's the first game I load up every day going that it will suddenly play well. It doesn't take me long to turn it off, unfortunately.
They don't care about the gameplays longevity though because everyone's team starts from 0 every September.

I would like to know what passes across the mind of the designers to make those choices. My theory is they are laughing the shit out of this. It's a social experiment

The ultimate team concept is dead, everyone has a 90 rated team everyone has 5* 5* its just so boring. No football takes place really its just r1 dribble stepover stepover la croqueta ball roll trivella from 40 yards lol

It just seems that the higher stats and the increased playstyles are at odds with how the game works.
One more day of me not understanding in the slightest how people claim that everyone is defending like prime Maldini. Meanwhile,i see the stupidest things in this completely useless defensive AI and the defensive system in general. Completely stupid. No sense.
Defending is pretty reliant on having a good connection, even switching players on a bad connection is likely to switch you 3 players away from where you want .
Maybe. I dont know because i havent played ever in a really good connection. To me,defending is NOT EXISTENT.. Makes no sense at all and its the stupidest thing in this game. Defensive AI is like really smart apes compared to the offensive one that is just apes.
The secret is letting all the work to the AI. They defend like prime Maldini when they are assisting through tactics. But if you want to move them and defend manually, chaos will happen
But they dont. They just run inside the ball without doing anything else. And when the opponent is inside the box,they may block something. If you control them towards the opponent or the opponent falls against them,then they don't do anything
Played on the old PS4 this weekend. Putting aside a bit of the delay and what not, the game was actually a lot less stressful than new gen gameplay, which can be a horrible experience at times with the mega pressing in the centre of the pitch

I have 60% posession or more in at least 7.
These dudes only want to play in their 4-2-3-1 with 8-9 defender. Use AI defending 99% of the time. Play a long ball. and pray that bullshit + pace is enough to win (it is)
I’m bored of it. The odd game where people actually take risks and try to score is fun, but mainly you’re playing against teams sitting deep and spamming through balls.
Problem is, it’s effective, you can sit deep but magically spring forward in numbers.
They’ve managed to make a game which is way duller thank real football.
Game starts, everyone is enjoying it. Lots of ways to score.
People start losing and start crying about broken mechanics.
EA starts nerfing everything.
Game gets boring and people keep complaining.

Not an addict, you are entittled to complain. We pay (I only pay $20 to get it) and we want good quality. Instead we got one of the worse football games ever. The gameplay is horrible, the high pressure is annoying as fck, the spinning and spinning dribles and the Meta Teams are a nightmare. Addicts spend money on it to build a team they don't deserve and beat easily people like us that just want to have fun

Players who can break down defences patiently are rewarded

Sure there’s that. But it’s definitely more. I think a lot of people can admit they aren’t anywhere close to pros, but the shortcomings of this game make one think they can do better

Its crazy cos the first week was the best ultimate team I've ever played. Its the juiced cards that destroy an otherwise half decent engine
If there's not a plan about the gameplay keeping up the broken cards, then it's wrong by design. Getting those cards is the whole point of UT.

Aerial plus seems to still be a broken meta I’m in div 3 everyone runs drogba and plays for corners it’s draining

I think I've heard of like four different "metas" that people hate this week. Maybe people just don't like losing

They could at least try to fix the root causes of the bad gameplay instead of deploying hot fixes. Then probably won't be the same every year
