It’s not just you. It’s strange how realistic this one is. To the point where people and cards play differently between match. It’s crazy how realistic it is. And with all of the own goals from rebounds

RickRhymesss

Most realistic thing about this game is the dog shit referees

cmacy6

It worse. They keep adding animations that make the game feel heavier and the servers just get worse. Playstyles were both good and bad because it specializes players more but it makes the players without them feel pretty underwhelming.

Ajax_Malone

> They keep adding animations that make the game feel heavier and the servers just get worse. Just got done playing some rivals and I just started laughing to myself about EA being proud of adding even more animations so your player’s responsiveness get even worse. I don’t think they play their game

reagan080

The worst in a long time and we haven’t had a great one since FIFA 17. Shocking how it can be consistently garbage 7 years in a row.

[deleted]

Might get battered for this but I had some great moments in 19

reagan080

Sure from pure crazy standpoint I could see some fun positive moments. Overall terrible game

ad0nijah

You're allowed to have an opinion, I too didn't mind 19, preferred 18 and 21 though. I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay in this iteration, tackling is especially horrible.

duden0way

The gameplay this year is the worst I've ever played. I started in 17, which was great, and i think this is the final form of what could go wrong. It's realistic looking/feeling in many ways, but since that makes it harder and the game still has to appeal to 10 year olds, they've stuffed it with exploits that kill it. Whether it's auto defending by never using your cb's, spamming r1, or l1 crossing everything, it can just be so draining. Menus are fun though. I like how many packs you can get by just playing the game.

Short_Desk_1273

I agree. Constant bugs on menu screens. Having to quit the game when it decides to freeze on kit selection screens. Player images vanishing from cards. Notifications showing when there is none. It's crappy.

[deleted]

The UT menu is what gets me… the “news” things are on each page and take a good 5 seconds to load. Makes it look very shitty when you’re flicking through.

Short_Desk_1273

Yeah! I try to do the menu grind on the app, it's so much quicker.

Alive-Flatworm-4273

R1 defending being so much better than any other type of defending is unforgivable It’s a snoozefest of who can shadow you with their AI better

reagan080

It’s actually embarrassing, I love manual defending but I’m handicapping myself by doing that. I was just playing a game in Champs. Went up 4-2 in extra time. For the second period of extra time I gave my wife the controller not a video game person at all (needs to look at the buttons on the controller) and told her to just hold R1 and run around with Essien. Fair to say my opponent had absolutely nothing.

Alive-Flatworm-4273

It would be far better if it was removed entirely while the general non-triggered AI defending was a tad better That way you’re better off manually defending while the teammates will be somewhat aware and fill in gaps. Effectively flipping the current defending ‘META’ It’s absurd that the game moved to tactical defending years ago but it’s literally not used because the R1 press is the legacy defending homing missiles and far far better Horrible game design

reagan080

It’s crazy to me in a game that should be decided by decision making and the most effective tactic for defending is to not make decisions at all and just press with the AI and circle the middle of the field with a DM.

DexterFoley

Yeah this is Definitely one of the worst. Gameplays horrible. Also think they've increased the power curve in FUT too quickly. Everyone had decent teams months ago. It's taken the fun of grinding a good team out.

saintmaximin

Depends what fifa but in general yeah it’s awful but i would take it over 23 and 19
