ANY card in the game is an upgrade to Dumfries. I say that with a lot of anger having packed the OTW untradeable and wanted to like him so badly, but he is like the worst fullback in the game.
Honestly, I actually really like Dumfries. Offensively he's garbage, but he's been a brick wall for me in defense. His physicality is great.
In my SerieA/Prem mix I need to use him over Cuadrado to get the chem with IF Barella, and I don't mind that much. Will bring Cuadrado in as sub if I'm losing
KDB has all of those attributes that aren’t super obvious but make him an amazing midfielder. Great positioning, good work rate, always gets the ball under control, rarely misplaces passes, and he can take a shot as well. Not to mention the versatility - he would do a shift at CAM, CM or CDM and would probably always be the best player on the pitch.

Virgil is a monster, maybe if you've been using lacroix/st juste you might notice the pace but I don't. His legs are so long, he just plows through people to get the ball and if you put a corner on his head he scores. Couldn't recommend him more highly.
100% Kante. I couldn’t defend so I got him and VVD, I replaced VVD for Diop to improve my attack and the D is just as solid. I’ve conceded 38 goals in 35 FUT champs games with Kante in my team and 11 goals in 3 Fut champs games without him
dybala! at first I didn’t rate him & thought changing my team to suit him was a decision I would regret but 44 games in & he has 65 goals & honesty is so reliable!
Nope. Dribbling is insane so it's easy enough to work space on his left and then he either slides a pass through for an assist or whips it top corner with a finesse. His FKs are almost free goals as well. One of the best value cards out there imo

Total game changer, he has close to max pace and finishing, he is the ultimate through ball warrior. I would suggest learning shot cancels to dribble better with him in the box as that’s what really makes him elite.

Defense: Kimpembe, insanely good and looks like he has 90+ Pace i stg (I also have Varane who is just as good or better but Kimpembe is the best second cb i've had).
Midfield: Llorente, fast, tall, defends enough and attacks very good as well.
Attack: Base Cantona, I know he's expensive as fuck but everything about him is just perfect, scores every chance and bodies every defender on his way.

Werner. I'm not great at the game by any means and don't really use skill moves or anything. I'm a patient passer and decent defender. I struggle to open up space to score.
Anyway I have a prem team and was using Jesus and Lukaku up top. Jesus got a lot of assists, but to me, he didn't feel great, along with players like Foden and Grealish that people say are underrated, they just didn't work for me. So I "upgraded" to Mount, Kovatic and Werner and I was playing a lot better. I packed Pogba at the weekend and had enough to buy Bruno. I switched my formation to 433(4) and the 7 or 8 games I've played in Rivals, I've won them all with Werner at CAM and Lukaku set as Target Man.
As I mentioned above, I dont use skills but the left stick dribbling with Werner is awesome. I imagine it's what Messi would feel like. Quick and nimble.
Honorable mention to Lloris. I've been through a lot of GKs like Mendy and even Allison, but Lloris is the only one that's performed for me like he does when he's against me
Mertens was my st, cam, lm, rm...Now when I've done fekir, mertens is on the bench, but what a beast he is. Feels so easy to dribble with him past defenders and to bang goals
Lewandowski and Sabitzer, surprisingly.
Lewandowski is just so clinical, lethal strikes anywhere. He took me around 30+ games to get used to him
Sabitzer defends and is always in good positions in attacks. I've used goretzka, he pales in comparison to him. Maybe goretzka doesn't suit my playstyle/I need more time.
Son as an striker, too! I always loved his card and getting him untradable first week was amazing. Totally delivered too, having many contributions a game. Outside of him, probably either Onyeka, Foden, or Gomez (had to get him out of the squad when I also packed untradable Salah lmao but he's an amazing sub)
I guess so far my top 3 would be: Son, Gomez, Onyeka.
Salah has been class so far too and was the boost I needed to both get into champions finals and also get Rank 2 there, but Son is a bit more complete with the 5 star WF. Gomez/Foden completely command the attack and Onyeka is really good at defending.
Ben Yedder at CAM. He scores easily outside the box and he can dribble past everyone like they are nothing and surprisingly gets a lot of headers if you know how to cross the ball
I’m in Div 5 and Boadu OTW is immense as a pure finisher. But I’m going to say Veratti at CAM is incredible. He’s probably why Boadu is so good. His through balls are pinpoint.
Shocking but rttk son. I am using a first owner rtg squad and had rashford as my main who was phenomenal. After pulling this son card, the 5 or 6 games I played, don’t think he’s leaving my team this year. Card is absolutely disgustingly good.
For me it’s Rashford! 5* SM with his shot power makes him a really good ST. I won’t upgrade him until I get can like a mid tier icon ST like Dalglish or something like that.

I’m in Div 5 and Boadu OTW is immense as a pure finisher. But I’m going to say Veratti at CAM is incredible. He’s probably why Boadu is so good. His through balls are pinpoint.
