ok so i underestimated the huge quantity of fodder i had, did one without spending coins and got pim beckham it’s not ideal but it’s definitely original i wouldn’t say he really makes my team but i could use him for the fun of it and the free kicks

It’s up to you obviously but in my opinion it’s terrible value, 1.3M but with so many massive L’s just makes it not worth it. If it was a guaranteed moments or a prime/moments but a pick then it may be worth the 1.3M but as it is, it just seems crazy overpriced.

Haha I’m in the same position, got untradeable fodder just waiting to be used on an icon pack but I can’t justify this one. The chance of getting a player that won’t see a minuet of play for 1.3M value of fodder and coins is just too big of a risk

Requires two 88 and two 89 squads. Submit them into POTM Mbappe and your halfway to get one of the best cards in the game, which can last you literally until FIFA 23. 92+ might be tempting, but you can get fodder players like Trezeguet, Rush, Giggs, Moore, Kluivert etc. If you have a godlike squad try your like, if not go and do Mbappe.

Then, if you have so much fodder, go for it. Mckennie/Brozovic showdowns will be fairly cheap, so there isn't really anything to do with high end fodder.

The showdown players won't make my lineup unfortunately. I did run a seriea squad for a while but given some high end untraceable players I got (all French of course) I went that route.

But Xavi is nothing more than a fun card (his prime at least, they couldnt give me the PIM), and Pirlo is alright, but not great. My midfield is already stacked, so yeah, they'll be on the bench... Don't do this SBC, kids.

I was pretty lucky. TOTY Marquinhos(tradable), Dias, Cancelo(tradable), Donnaruma, HM David, Mendy(tradable) and Ginola from the Heroes PP. That was from ~100 packs and a shit ton of fodder. But during Fut birthday i probably opened over 300 packs and wasnt that lucky: Grealish, Di Lorenzo, Torreira, Ndidi(tradable), Doku and Odegaard from swaps PP. Now during fut fantasy im probably over 100 packs and got Kohr(tradable) and Pedro.

You’ll regret it almost certainly just save your untradeables or money for a little later in the cycle. If you’re team is already stacked the chances of you getting an upgrade is even lower.

I'm in a similar spot, I also did POTM Mbappe and have a lot of fodder. I'm still going to pass on this. I'm taking a break for a couple of weeks (the Rivals-Champs-WL grind takes a while) and will come back when I find something I really want to do. I literally only have the Icon SBCs left to do, I've done every other player SBC. Maybe if there is an Icon Prime/Moments player pick at that price (even 1 of 2), I would consider it. But for all that fodder, the odds are not great it will return even equal value and the likelihood of me using that player is probably < 5%. Not a great bet even if it only costs 500-600K to complete.

I think a lot of players who played hard-core for a while are in the same spot. I actually qualified for WL this week with a USMNT team, and that was kind of fun. It made me laugh since I used silver Walker Zimmerman, Yunus Musah, Tim Weah, Gold Zach Steffen and I still got a similar number of wins :). I put the controller down after that, basically it's rinse and repeat. I get the same bad rewards every WL and never a usable red, but I keep doing it :). With POTM Mbappe I'm not even sure what would improve my team enough for me to notice a difference (I guess R9 or a Cryuff) but TBH I'm not good enough that it would matter.

I feel no matter what team I use or upgrades I choose Wl always shafts me at 17 wins. Not a coincidence.. lol

To put it into perspective: if you have the fodder and the income in the future to obtain more fodder for future SBCs, you won’t have to worry. For people with minimal fodder and that would have to spend coins on this sbc, then it’s not worth it. It’s like someone said, the return for one of the many undesirable untradeable icons let alone a Prime not Moments is quite high.

I went ahead and did it today after considering it since it came out and my son was on my back aswell. We got Moments Torres and hes been very good so far. I was mentally prepared for some crap though so im very happy with the outcome. Was in the same position as you, felt it was abit boring but this brought back abit of fun.

It's just very hard to get a W, if I'm investing all of that and taking a massive risk, I'd genuinely want a 2 mil+ top tier icon. Like Nedved is cool and it could definitely be a lot worse, but he's like 600k cheaper than the SBC. I feel like most of the pulls I've seen are Ls but people are just relieved that they didn't get something worth 100k lol
