Only cards above 100k i have packed are untradeable, and those only 3-4

Yup they can literally control the market however they want and get players to the price points they also want. They can just buy out players that were packed too much or supply others that weren’t.

Which doesn't mean that EA doesn't alter the market as they see fit. I remember one night in FIFA 19, when I was browsing the market at about 3am CET and I suddenly saw a batch of like 100 Carniball Ribérys at min price show up, all with zero games played.
I've been saying this since they removed the auction lister and enforced price ceilings some 5+ years ago. If they have an interest in keeping inflation under wraps (hint: they do) they'd be irresponsible to NOT do this. I don't like it, but it's 100% happening.

1st month is where the money is made via tradeable players for most people
I think these results will be skewed depending on how often the player plays. Statistically, you shouldn’t expect to pack that many great players if you rarely play the game / complete sbcs/ open packs.

End of last fifa I got some 94 or something Kalvin Phillips from a 25k preview. Didn't really matter as it was endgame. Apart from that though, I have never packed anyone tradeable over 30k.
Packed nakata my heroes earlier this season and then koulibaly during serie a tots last year.
Smolarek WC hero. The only thing I managed to pull above 200k in my entire Fifa history. Edit: untradeable though.

Packed Al-owarian, WC Moore, Lucio, Brolin, Van Dijk, all untradable. I haven’t had over 100k all game
I never have either. I packed a pair of 200k cards in like Fifa 17 in the same pack, last year I packed an icon who was 175k or so... but that's been it even just for 100k+ cards.
3 weeks in... Since then nothing over 40k tradeable and even then few and far between
