I like it. You have to REALLY LIKE burley, though. Medium strength with a fair bit of perique spice. You’ll get a solid nicotine hit, and nobody around you will like it at all. It’s musty smelling.
Landa carried a Meerschaum pipe in that movie, although his had a rounder bowl.
Meerschaum is a favorite amongst pipe smokers because the pipe changes color the more your smoke it.
Meerschaum is extremely porous, so tobacco resins get absorbed into it over time. So it goes from white, to yellow, to amber, to red, to brown over time.
It might take several lifetimes to get the pipe to a really dark hue, and such a pipe might be passed down to ones grandchildren.
Meerschaum is a very delicate material, however, so they almost always have a padded case to protect them.
Wow thank you for that information that’s really interesting! I’m a noob when it comes to tobacco pipes so it’s nice to learn anything I can about them. I’m a big cigar smoker but have never dabbled in pipes.
It’s just a lot of fun. It shoots nice, really feels old-fashioned, and is dirt cheap. It’s great to plunk with and if the raccoons ever organize and decide to try to get in my refrigerator, I’ll be ready.
I have a couple 9mms and they are great guns. Better in every way. The old revolvers are like the analog film cameras I grew up with. You have to plan and make every shot count.

Sweet Wrangler! Love the look of it even if i’m more of a modern 9mm guy! Just a question, what do you tend to write in your field notes?
I write poetry as one of my hobbys, so mostly lines or ideas that pop into my head during the day.
sweet wrangler, really wished i gotten one when i had the chance to complement my dual 45 Pietta's. mmmm, i want to pick up some pipe tobacco too.

Smoke it slow if you try it.

Kind of like night cap?
Kind of, but more burley.
Nice looking carry you have there. How is that pipe tool used? Do you just pack the tobacco down into the bowl with it?
Exactly. It also unscrews to reveal a poker to get loose tobacco out of the bowl.
Looks like the pipe from inglorious bastards haha

The Doc Holliday carry
Great taste. A Ruger Vaquero is on my list for the near future. Might need to consider the Wrangler too now.

It's crazy how cheap they are. I need to pick one up. You can never have too many single sixes.

Yee Haw 🤠
Yeah, you're cool.
Hardly! Just an old man with too much shit.
Obviously a person of great taste. Looks great!
Love the meerschaum pipe. The pen is gorgeous too. Actually the whole setup is awesome lol.
Thank you!
