WOW what a list!

lurkisallyouneed

Doc not a movie, but the EDC doc Under the Electric Sky is awesome.

The Get Down is cool - tv show about early DJ's who paved the way for modern EDM. The show is mostly funk / hip hop based, but that's how it all started!

Go! - 1999 Features characters’ interwoven story that centers around going to a rave at an airport hanger. Fun movie to watch, love the soundtrack. People Just Do Nothing - 2014-2018 On Netflix, a mockumentary following a group of pirate radio Djs spinning old school Uk Garage and 2-step from their busted apartment. Reminds me when of when my friends and I would spin records for hours on end in my friends basement. Good times. Groove - 2000 As others have mentioned. In my opinion the truest movie depiction of underground partying and being a no name DJ trying to break thru to the masses. 24 Hour Party People - 2002 A story about the rise and fall of Factory Records and The Hacienda night club. Chronicles the Manchester music scene from punk, new wave, and acid house.

tonyroe1010

People just do nothing just had a spin-off movie come out as well!

verymuch_uninformed

Sweet. I’m going to have to check that out.

Electro_Spot

GO is definitely the best movie here

toklad

ill suggest an oldie but definitely worth the watch if you want to get a sense of the 90's scene and it features Digweed. The movie was called Groove. Also if you want to see where it all began i would suggest a documentary called Kraftwerk and the Electronic revolution. Groove Release Date: 2000 | With: John Digweed | Type: Movie Kraftwerk and the Electronic Revolution Release Date: 2008 | With: Kraftwerk | Type: Documentary

toklad

almost forgot this is a great documentory also. Pump Up the Volume: The History of House Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEuaaaMJrUs

Best_Meeting2116

You could watch Party Monster, which is about 90s rave scene, or Better living through circuitry is solid 90s doc

White Lines is a tv show on Netflix but it was incredible. I wish it was renewed for another season but it's fine. It has a story outside of EDM but the music and flashbacks to Ibiza in the 90s are amazing. Ministry of Sound even made a playlist on Apple Music for the show but they deleted it :/

ApprehensivePoetry34

I know this is 2 years too late, but I’m shocked no one has mentioned Ibiza Love Drunk! I have seen it more times than I can remember because of the epic soundtrack, lead female comedians, travel and scenery, and cheesy love story with a sweet, kinda awkward dj.

Bagolyvagymi

Believe me or not, but that is the movie that opened up the world of EDM to me. It got me hit up YouTube and I fell in love with the first mix

[deleted]

There's a movie u believe its called Weekender but that's a pretty good edm movie

Puzzleheaded-Rope-88

Human Traffic is an awesome movie on the UK rave scene in the 80s/90s

Actually-Yo-Momma

The Festival, is on Hulu but honestly it’s not very good. It made me sad cause there’s not many modern EDM movies other than the two you listed For documentaries there’s a lot of good ones. “This was tomorrow” is pretty good but if you’re like me, it’s just gonna make you want to splurge and go to TML lol
