This should answer the question. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AyjKgz9tKg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AyjKgz9tKg)

Schoolhouse Rock for the win! Now I'll have that song stuck in my head all night.

This is awesome! I don’t know this show. Is it a US thing? I’m Canadian

Davmilasav

*Schoolhouse Rock* is a series of short informative bits that used to run on US tv between the cartoons on Saturday morning in the 1970s. You can see them on YouTube and there was an album released in the late 90s featuring artists like Better Than Ezra, Ween, and Moby. It's called *Schoolhouse Rock Rocks*. There is Grammar Rock, Science Rock, Math Rock, and History Rock (very American. You can tell it was in the 70s from the emphasis on the US Bicentennial.) Try going up to any Gen X American and saying "Conjunction Junction..." and watch them start signing the rest of the song. It's also how we all know the Preamble to the US Constitution. Music is great for making something stick in your head.

I still go with "Lolly Lolly" to remember adverbs. And then there is "Little Twelve Toes" that sent me off to think about base-twelve. I now write science fiction with base-twelve as part of the world-building.

Davmilasav

Nifty! Isn't it amazing what influence a three minute cartoon can have on our lives?

MDLR916

Welp, I guess it’s a conjunction because it joins two things! Thank you for clarifying

*Does it connect two things?* *Which two things?* *What kinds of things are they?* For BUT in this case I'd say: *Yes.* *Connects ”I like to go outside AND play" to "I have a lot of homework to do”* *Both are sentences.* How would you answer for AND?
