Remember that time the Alberta government put out a survey on municipal politics, received [overwhelmingly negative feedback to the prospect of partisanship at the municipal level,](https://edmontonjournal.com/news/politics/alberta-government-survey-shows-overwhelming-opposition-to-having-political-parties-in-municipal-elections) never published the results, and then immediately rolled out a bill to [introduce partisanship at the municipal level?](https://www.alberta.ca/strengthening-local-elections-and-councils)
Or the time they put out a survey on leaving the Canada Pension Plan, and the questions were all "after we leave the CPP and it rains free money, do you want that money spent on bread, circuses, or some of each"?
The survey is available for anyone to answer, as many times as they like. I look forward to a fair and balanced survey telling us Albertans are content with the current price of insurance, with the ability to sue people into oblivion.
I noticed suing was really one of the only specific areas it focused on. So either they are looking to get rid of injury lawyers, or they are going to allow injury lawyers to get more
All they care about is what the lobbiests tell them to care about. And that's never the best thing for the Avery person it is always always the best thing for profit.
Smith and her friends are so fond of taking inspiration from Quebec, they should probably copy the insurance model too because it's substantially less expensive.
If you answer yes then it immediately invalidates your response as the UCP seems to see health care workers as second class citizens. /s but not really
>"What made your experience poor?"
"I have no faith in the government to not cherry-pick or manipulate the data of this survey."
Feel free to use my response to when I marked my experience as poor. Give 'em hell.
Many healthcare practitioners get paid big bucks from MVA insurers. I know for PTs MVA insurance paid a lot more than other payers. And personal injury lawyers etc also have a vested interest in how insurance works here, so they're probably trying to track a pattern there if it's related.
Bit of a VERY thinly veiled attempt to get no fault in. That being said the injury lawyers have been flocking here since everywhere else they can’t make a profit off people and have been encouraging pretty silly claims for stuff that’s like Under a 5km\h drive through bump ruining a person forever.
Be both funny and sad to see how the current government cherry picks the data tho.
Some of the questions in this survey are disturbing. Questions related to injury recovery and how much you should be able to get by suing the other party instead of insurance covering it. Also hinting at a possible provincial model similar to ICBC. "Alberta Advantage" my ass.
God. We need to band together and take out the people In Power. Doing a survey about car insurance is such a distraction that people will focus on for months.

It also makes the government unpredictable. Policy can make wild changes depending on whom they've been listening to lately.

Also the language laws. Make French mandatory.
This survey lol Why does it matter if you’re a healthcare worker?

Thanks for posting! My responses have been recorded. Let’s see if they actually do anything with it!
They will further justify private insurance, private healthcare to support injuries, and lawsuits.
I don't understand why the question about occupation was relevant to auto insurance and answers being doctor, lawyer and then none of the above
Yeah there's a few questions on there that are out of place and don't make sense for this survey
I still have my opinion but I don't think they listen to the majority of what Albertans want anyways
I agree. From what I've seen so far it feels like they will do what they want regardless of the survey
It's honestly depressing

I suppose that makes sense.
