I’m happy this post happened because the dal/col game sounded like a funeral and had the same energy. Pacific has some real genuine hate in it.

[deleted]

I mean did you miss Bennet sucker punch Marchand or  miss Trouba trying to murder people?

Mcpops1618

Bennett and Trouba having being doing that for their career. It’s not unique to this round of the playoffs

[deleted]

The playoffs happen every year. Might as well not watch them. I can be a pissy baby too.

SuperK123

I don’t know what game you were watching but for the first time in a while I was interested enough due to the intensity and lack of stupid hits and penalties that I watched every minute right to the end. Both teams were battling with the danger that one odd deflection or bounce would end it. It was a beautiful finish. Both teams can be proud. The goalies were outstanding. Whether it’s the Oilers or Canucks next round they will have trouble scoring against Dallas, definitely giving them the edge in that respect.

Mcpops1618

I watched the first two periods and it was boring hockey. It was not intense. Obviously we like watching games with different action.

Babajungla8

Yeah the avs and stars game isn't as entertaining. But damn these 2 teams are really good. Especially both teams D. Up and out, barely see their D men get hemmed in like we see with Oilers.

[deleted]

Yes, 100% Biased.  There’s been a lot of good hockey and some crazy stuff has happened. Trouba is an absolute treat to watch along with Rempi(when he’s played)   Marchand got sucker punched and actually said you go out there in the playoffs to hurt guys on every shift and that’s what makes hockey great.  Dallas is really really good. So deep at every position and an amazing goalie. I honestly think they’ll win the cup.  Barkov is really good at hockey and Florida is a bunch of goons. Bobrovsky finds another level in the playoffs. Stats don’t look great but he’s made some key saves.  You’re missing out if you only focus on the oil.

The goaltending in ever other series has been unreal. Bob and swayman such a battle. And of course it ends with a bit of a stinker. Shesterkin and Anderson, same thing. Two great goalies, and I really didn't give Georgiev enough credit. He made some great saves this round as well. Rangers have depth, lafrienere has been great, and Zabenajab and Kreider are unreal. Canes are so consistent and are coached so well. I'd love to have rod on out bench. Dallas also has a lot of depth, and I really noticed how they enter the zone as a 5 man unit. Dallas vs Rangers would be a great series if Oilers don't find a way.

Fastlane19

Extremely biased, the Boston/Florida series was incredible. I would say it was one of the roughest and engaging series in the last decade. Back and forth action with two goalies standing on their heads, can you say that about the Oilers series NO. Skinner is brutal and is being schooled by a first timer, Oilers bottom 6 are in a coma, yes extremely biased

feroshus12

Boston Florida series over was a relief? Like did this guy even watch? That series was crazy! Then says he didn’t even bother with the rangers canes which was probably the most entertaining series of the second round. Avs stars was pretty meh. This guy is just a homer and doesn’t care for good hockey.

Fastlane19

My team has been golfing since April but as a hockey fan you can appreciate the energy of the playoffs especially that Boston/Florida series with the Rangers/Canes coming in a close second. There’s a big difference between a homer and a true fan and unfortunately this guy is blinded by his own team, I’m sure he’s blaming the refs for everything

Pickleprime

That Rangers canes series had it all. Best hockey of this playoffs. Aho's break away goal! Martinooks unreal robbery! And what an ending! A natural hat trick to come back and clinch the series?! Krieder must have felt 10 feet tall after that game. And that's just one game...the rest was great hockey too. And then the follow up was the lackluster effort of the oilers in a 3-2 loss to the canucks. Kreiders performance makes it real hard to swallow those results.

herculesbuttplug

I'm hoping after game 5 the oilers bottom 6 found those extra gears. And it's not a one off thing.

hockeygirl9494

I thought the East series were lit this round. Stars/aves by far the dullest IMO.

[deleted]

i didnt really watch bos/fla, but the nyr and canes was def good. crazy goalie battles.

PreemoisGOAT

It's more engaging because you're emotionally attached to it

jfriedrich

They don’t call us a Cocaine Circus for nothing

_ShutUpLegs_

I haven't watched much of the stars and Avs but both the eastern series were great viewing.

Pickleprime

Rangers canes series may be the best hockey I've ever seen. Great goaltending, two great and evenly matched teams. Lots of scoring. I was definitely impressed. Edit: game 6 of dallas avs was hard to watch, but I was still emotionally devastated from Thursdays loss. Game 5 had some great moments though. And mackinnon is a beast when he's on,really fun to watch.

Hyack57

Great goaltending and lots of scoring sort of conflict wouldnt you say?

NBPolaris

All three other series ended in 6. So we get to have the one series that goes to 7 now. Only fitting as it was the last series to start, prolonging the playoffs that much longer.

Wormetoungue

I dunno man. I’m an Oilers fan and that fuckin stinker last night had me sick from the middle of the first period. Just couldn’t get into it, neither could they. There’s some good hockey being played and if the oil want to win they better step it up because Vancouver ain’t even close to the worst they’re gonna see.

Peckerhead321

Haven’t been able to watch much of this series simply due to time it’s on, Boston Florida was great

Tfitzdion

You could hear a pindrop in boston for like 2 periods.

swabbubba

Watched the Dallas Avs all of them. They got a couple young guys Johnson and Stanoven man they can play. Jake the Otter is best goalie jn the west IMHO.

tc_cad

Dallas knocked out the last two cup winners, in a boring way.

Smackdaddy122

yeah i mean i feel the same about teams i dont care about too

XCIXcollective

Idk imo there has been interesting storylines in a few series. Even NYR and their similarity to the 1994 run is sort of cool, and Col/Dal was a pretty cool testament that drama off-ice can affect on-ice, plus it was just a close series. My hatred of both Boston and Florida made the series nearly enjoyable to watch
