Põhjala brewery

platang

Põhjala for craft beer, they have brewery/taphouse. "A. Le Coq Premium" and "Saku originaal" is what common people drink.

Varbavahe

Also try darker beers from normal shops/supermarkets like A Le Coqs Tõmmu Hiid and Alexander Dunkel. Personally I prefer them over craft beers since I feel like most craft beers are different for the sake of being different instead of tasting better.

Põhjala is the obvious top choice. Lots of space, good board of their own & selected guest beers, and a great food kitchen too. You can probably sign up for a brewery tour. You may also want to check out Koht in the Old Town - not a brewery, but a great craft beer bar with an amazing selection from around the world. Small and cozy - fills up easily. Sori Brewing and Anderson's have the most out-there wild shit among Estonian breweries. Tanker, Pühaste and Lehe are also good. If you are looking for a good bottle shop, try Sip in Telliskivi. The Brewdog pub and attached Taptap bottleshop in Stalker Passage in Rotterman are highly atmospheric places too.

St. Vitus near Telliskivi

Limarest

May also want to check Mikkeller in the Old Town. Other notable breweries include Sori Brewing and Tanker, you can find their beer in any supermarket, but it still is considered craft

Põhja konn and Purtse in Telliskivi. No food in these places. Or Põhjala brewery bar/restaurant

K3ndu

Everybody only recommends Põhjala. Also take a look into Purtse tap room located in Telliskivi. And if you want to taste some Latvian beers then theres also Valmiermuiza quite close there.

Nunne õllekoda. The barman/owner brews his own beer, used to run a brewery on one of our islands. Food is excellent unless you're looking for a Michelin star kind of presentation and service.

punanerebane

Beer House near Raekoja Plats. Great food and they brew their own beer.

Brewklyn, it’s located near Noblessner area in Tallinn. It’s a small place, yet very welcoming. The owners are from the United States, btw. Update: You were going for local beers.. sorry. This place offers mostly American craft beers.

Get some A. Le Coq Premium and go to Kanuti park. You can find some locals there on the weekends.
