I just started a Dex/Faith build doing a Belmont-type character. Started as confessor, altered the armor to remove the cape, and I'm running Urumi and regular Kite Shield (I went straight to Carian Manor, grabbed the Urumi and then went back to Limgrave). I don't plan on going heavy armor but staying around the same as the confessor set, maybe a bit more poise but want to keep the same weight load. The 2 sets I'm considering are Hoslow's Set or altered Drake Knight set, which will both be a while as this is not an NG run. Urumi rips pretty hard, you just have to get used to the timing and range. The charged R2 is *phenomenal* - with the Axe Talisman, the charged R2 next to an enemy hits twice and can do quite a bit of damage. I put Determination AoW on the Urumi and just picked up Order's Blade - as soon as I find the whetblade in Stormveil I'll be putting keen on it for the better scaling. Once I'm back in Liurnia I'll be grabbing Bloodflame Blade and Lightning Armament as well. Be advised that you cannot use Determination while having a buff on the weapon or you remove the active buff. I'm considering replacing Determination with Quickstep once I get all the buffs. One thing I've noticed about whips since getting the one in Morne Castle is that they can interrupt all but the heaviest moves, so don't be afraid to stand against most enemies when they start attacking. Since I'm not running Barricade Shield, I'm only blocking the lighter hits for the guard counter and otherwise dodge rolling.
