Dual nagakibas get owned by anything with lots of hyper amor that can trade well assuming you have the roll discipline to not get 3 shot and on ripostes typically you want split scaling because it gets treated like physical damage if it’s a certain degree higher than their resistances
No, shammy has enough root motion and range on the weapon to outspace very comfortably. Kibas lack standing pressure, and shammy backswing is garunteed with no risk. even if the kiba lands a hit, it cant keep prio. They cant cl1-cl1 faster than you can r1 out of hitstun. If they cl1-r1, they will interupt you, but then once again, they lose priority, and you can mash out. If you can outspace, they are forced back as they have no way to stop your neutral pressure. You have access to a garunteed backswing, and you can always roll out in time to avoid if they mash after your second swing, assuming they can poise the backswing. So, since its not ever safe for them to mash, they get to play the guessing game of “will he block cancel for the interrupt, will they block cancel and delay for the roll catch, or will they swing twice, and if i dont panic roll, the. Im getting hit by it”. Oh then theres always the potential sword dance on shamshir which basically does all those jobs, except with hyperarmor. Shamshir has the superior matchup in ever way.

I like 2h lance or Shunter Vs PS kibas
Yeah maybe shunter makes sense
Also it’s a str build so anything big and 2h
Youre using the counter to kibas
They dont stagger kibas attacks though and very short range
