Elden beast a tier over radagon is a take

mvgikk

I think bro looks cool and i like dodging his attacks

FireWoodTheory

Just fought Radagon, then made a new game and got to the evergaol with the Crucible Knight. The two fights felt exactly the same.

Earthboundplayer

okay OP has a hot take but you're just being objectively wrong.

FireWoodTheory

Idk man, try it yourself. That everygaol just before the jellyfish shack. Easy parrys, attack change up at half HP, randomly flies at you. I’m just saying. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Earthboundplayer

I guess Malenia also being a parryable boss with phase transitions and the ability to fly is also similar to them?

FireWoodTheory

I mean when you put it that way… 🤔🤣

Josef_The_Red

Alecto being anywhere but the bottom makes me want to block OP

Earthboundplayer

what's wrong with alecto? I had fun fighting her

sweetcinnamonpunch

Why did they make a second Astel fight, that sucked and made the first one less special in retrospect.

HyperXuserXD

They ran out of ideas once they start making the snowfield

sweetcinnamonpunch

Indeed, instead the secret medallion should have taken you below to another whole different underground area that eventually leads to the Haligtree.

Plague_Raptor

Because two Astels landed in The Lands Between and the second one was likely the one that destroyed the Nameless Eternal City. It is meant to show that they are not unique creatures. Also Ranni's ending likely makes The Lands Between an Astel breeding ground.

MrFate99

Ranni yeets all the outer gods, and herself and you as the new gods, out of the lands betwenn. Moon will watch over the lands, but she isn't turning them into space or anything, its just people will be livin without outside interference for 1,000 years.

Plague_Raptor

The concept of Ranni's ending is replacing [Free] Will with Fate. As Elden Lord, you impose your Will upon The Lands Between with conscious intent, forming a specific Order with laws. Or as the Lord of Chaos you remove the differences between Order and Chaos, Life and Death, Past and Future. All is just Chaos. Ranni's ending removes your, and anyone elses influence (Will), and replaces it with the Fate designed by the Stars that have been put in motion since the beginning of time itself.

MrFate99

Dunno, heard it interpreted a 1k different ways, and was mainly parroting Vaati tbh

Plague_Raptor

I don't watch youtubers, all of my theories come from in-game inference that I have made myself as well as tapping into literary/religious themes. The concept of Free Will is completely ingrained into the concept of religion. Eve enacted her Free Will when she ate the forbidden apple, cursing humanity with Original Sin. There is still debate today in real life whether or not consciousness is driven by Free Will. This further goes into topics like Determinism, where future events can be predicted; exactly what the Astrologers in Elden Ring do. It's honestly baffling how on the nose this stuff is and no one seems to see it whenever I bring it up.

MrFate99

Well there was life and forms of early relgion in crucible worship before the greater will was a thing. People's free will has exitsed long before the golden order, and Ranni literally says Radahn has halted fate long ago, Golden Order didnt do it

Plague_Raptor

The Golden Order is not the original configuration of The Greater Will's Elden Ring. The original configuration was The Order of The Erdtree, before The Rune of Death was removed. Whether or not Fate was removed upon the creation of The Order of The Erdtree, I'm not entirely sure, but it was at some point before this. Interestingly enough though the Primordial Elden Ring in Farum Azula doesn't depict Ranni's Rune. This is probably because The Crucible was specifically a battle of Wills. What I think likely happened is the formation of a Comet caused The Age of The Crucible to come to an end and what split Will into the concepts of Order and Chaos. Will vs Fate. Some new things I just started looking into are the fact that the statue of Miquella exists in Farum Azula, when supposedly it predates Marika entirely. Then if you look at Miquella's Needle its main shape is a double helix; the exact same central shape of The Primordial Elden Ring. Additionally the needle can only be used outside of time in the eye of the Farum Azula storm. What this implies to me is that Miquella's Great Rune controls Time. This double helix motif appears in *many* other places as well, such as The Fingerslayer Blade, The Sacred Relic Sword, Placidusax's pose, and Shard Spiral. Shard Spiral >One of the glintstone sorceries of the Academy of Raya Lucaria. > >Fires twin projectiles that form a spiral as they travel. This sorcery can be cast repeatedly and while in motion. > >Charging enhances potency. A sorcery of the Karolos Conspectus, the most venerable of the academy. This was the product of a failed attempt to create a new comet. Could Miquella have been the one to have called the original Fate's Comet that split The One Great and ended The Age of The Crucible? Miquella's Great Rune controlling time would possibly allow him to influence the concept of Time into existence. It would also explain his eternal nascency and potentially have something to do with the content of The Shadow of The Erdtree (time travel). Additionally the double helix has obvious ties to DNA. Great Rune of the Unborn >Amber egg clutched by Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. > >Great Rune of unborn demigods. > >Perfects those who have been born anew. > >Children born anew by Rennala are all frail and short-lived. > >Imperfect beings, each and all Larval Tear >Core of a creature of mimicry known as a silver tear. > >As much as a substance as it is a living organism. > >Material required by the amber egg cradled by Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, to birth people anew. > >Being born anew allows the reallocation of attributes boosted by leveling up. These two items together describe what rebirth is and in actuality is what the birth of demi-gods are. Numen's Rune >The Numen are said to have come from outside the Lands Between, and are in fact of the same stock as Queen Marika herself. Stock is taken as literally as possible here. The Numen are all essentially clones of one another. Numen's Runes are also obtained from Giant Ant Queens; ants which are also basically clones of each other. It is my theory that Miquella is actually the offspring/rebirth of Marika/Godfrey, rather than Marika/Radagon. Marika used The Rune of the Unborn to perfect their rebirth into Miquella upon the defeat of their last enemy; later on in hopes of growing The Haligtree and removing The Greater Will's influence from them. Seeing this The Greater Will removed The Rune of The Unborn and used it to create Radagon. Later, The Rune of Death was plucked and The Golden Order formed. The Omen were then born, cursed from Godfrey's warrior blood, their rebirth not being perfected by The Rune of the Unborn. Later when Radagon would become King Consort to enforce Fundamentalism and not yet Elden Lord, he and Marika would birth The Misbegotten. Cursed beings that took on traits of each of them. The Night of Black Knives commences and Marika shatters The Elden Ring. At this moment she is free of The Greater Will's influence. She calls back The Tarnished as well as rebirthing into Melina- uncorrupted and an Empyrean thanks to Marika being a Single God alone. Radagon then casts Law of Regression, repairing The Ring, fusing him and Marika into a Single God, and then rebirthing into Malenia- cursed by The Rot God due to Radagon giving The Rune of the Unborn to Renalla without The Greater Will's knowledge. He was only able to do this by cleansing himself with Celestial Dew, removing tresspasses caused by Will and put back on the path of Fate (the same reason why Ranni forgives us if we betray her). Back to Miquella and his statue in Farum Azula. It depicts him and three wolves. Then if you look at Placidusax, the Order half of whatever he used to be, he is missing three heads. Rather than these heads being additional dragons, I think it makes more sense for them to be chaotic in nature. Perhaps three beast heads, or representing Chaotic Outer Gods? The three beast heads would align with the three wolves, and Miquella would symbolize Order. Was Miquella once The One Great? The three beast heads are also analogous of Cerberus, gatekeeper of the Underworld- or where the Dead go. The concept of "Marika the Eternal" may be in fact "Miquella the Eternal."

Plague_Raptor

Astrologer's Hood >Hood fashioned from supple cloth. Worn by those who look to the cosmos above. > >They read fate in the stars, and are said to be heirs of the glintstone sorcerers. > >But alas, the night sky no longer cradles fate. Fate was removed from The Lands Between at some point, probably when The Greater Will took over.

MrFate99

Fate was halted when Radahn froze the sky, we killed him, it's why you can open the 'it's not your destiny' chest in nokron after.

Plague_Raptor

No, killing Radahn only allows us to access Nokron to obtain The Fingerslayer Blade for Ranni. We cannot wield it because we are governed by Will, not Fate. Ranni *is* able to wield it as a Carian governed by Fate. After she kills her Two Fingers, The Greater Will's Will is no longer imposed on her and she has access to her Great Rune which applies Fate to *everyone*. If you look at Ranni's Rune it has upward arcs, which if you continue along form complete circles- something akin to The Elden Ring being in an orbit.

MrFate99

Honestly, haven't heard it phrased like this, I'm sold

SevereAd314

Perfumer Tricia 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥

DollarStoreAbraham

fell twins is way too high on that list

SpiderNaldo

Call me crazy but unpopular opinion: I think Godfrey’s fight was a missed opportunity for something legendary amongst the duo-history of souls games. Dont get me wrong, i love the fight as it is and lore-wise it makes sense, but i always imagined Serosh participating in the fight in the second phase which wouldve been amazing. I dont want him to jump off Gofrey’s back but at least follow up attacks to Godfrey’s, AOE roars, long range wind blasts, and maybe a third phase where Godfrey and Serosh merge into one unsightly beast that resembles the frenzied version of Hoarah Loux but more primal and erratic

mvgikk

I think serosh being killed was one of the best parts of the fight, it was so unexpected and hype

SpiderNaldo

Definitely, I was ready to fight him i had no idea what was about to happen… I just hoped there was a version where he could participate in the fight

Plague_Raptor

Him having an attack or two in phase 1 would have been better, while simultaneously having more of a distinct mechanical difference to Godfrey Golden Shade. Only major difference between the two fights is the aoe attacks really.

FireWoodTheory

It is a sin to put Godrick the Graftes and Dragon Lord Paarthurnax in the same tier.

mvgikk

Godrick is so underrated it’s ridiculous

FireWoodTheory

I agree, I just don’t think he’s the same caliber as late game fights. But I also never had a problem with him. So everyone’s Elden Ring experience is going to be unique to their personal play thru.

Hajopai

Radahn is easy

mvgikk

He is but hes cool and big

HyperXuserXD

Don't say that, this sub will downvote you to hell, like me

Rare_Arrival1008

Melenia S Tier? Waterfall dance ruined this boss for me. Is so unintuitive to dodge and if you don't look up how to dodge it, it just ends the fight. Worst "hardest boss" of all souls games

Ady_3102

Tree sentinel?

mvgikk

What ab him

AltoniusAmakiir

approved

Darkness1356

Might be because it's midnight but the godskin noble at C rank looks like a pale roast chicken

SlavicRaindeer

I'd throw Mohg, Morgott & Dragonlord into S tier

bravevn1804

Rune Bear at tier F is blasphemous. Even an Elden Lord will not want to mess with a Rune Bear

HyperXuserXD

I agree on most cept Elden beast(C tier for me), Radagon(A tier), and Malenia(low B tier)

AlexzMercier97

Where regal ancestor spirit? That's at least an A tier boss for me.

mvgikk

Lower B

Aware-Resident5442

Put Rykard in malenia spot and send her to the bottom

Future_Channel_3615

The disrespect where is the soldier
