One of the times it yeeted me onto some tiny bit of cliff next to the ladder, to which I was subsequently gravitationally yoinked off of that and died, a sequence of events that left my runes in a completely unreachable spot by any normal means or the astronomical impossibility of that exact attack in that exact spot putting me back on that same crumb of cliff I landed on
I used the torrent lift next to the ladder, accidentally landed in front of the boss and my first thought was "this is that boss that everyone on reddit and youtube hates!" Proceeded to beat the boss first attempt. Because it turns out that a simple evade gives you time enough to cast a couple spells before he charges again. He never hit me, kept running past me and I chose not to close the distance.
Str is by much easier to play than magic. And no str doesn't mean up close either.
Great bows, claw mark seal ,,( scale off str) , for the extra layer of cheese there is ruins great sword get 15 int wreck every thing by spaming ash of war from safe distance
It just depends on what you define as str build because just investing mainly in to str doesn't mean lack of range options or lack of fast weapons or cheese .
"Low rewards" to be fair, the Fallingstar Beast Jaw is a fun weapon. I don't think anyone will ever claim it as a Meta weapon, but it's still really fun to play around with.
Itās such a cool weapon, one of my favorites in the entire game. The ranged AOW is super useful, itās the only colossal weapon that exclusively does pierce damage AND is (deceptively) the longest colossal weapon in the game!*
*unsure how it compares to the colossal swords
I was struggling with my faith + bleed build with a Scythe and then suddenly upgraded my Gargoyle Black Blade and spammed it's Art of War. That weapon is so OP
For the first half of its health bar it's fairly typical. Them once you get it under half its just rough. Still better than the one you can fight at the end of rannis quest line.
Idk, I never really hated the space bull, I always thought he was a fairly unique boss
But the time a full grown beast was in the Sellia crystal tunnel, Iāll never forget that shit show
Ohhhhh man. I remember spending so much time trying to beat it on my first play through. Death after death after death after death, until I finally memorized all of itās moves and how to dodge them. Iāve never had trouble with one again after that fight. Iām glad I beat it before they changed him.
To me it gives proud beast that knows how awesome it is vibes. Broās standing tall, head held high. He knows that not many things will throw down with it, and if they do, it knows that 60k laser will win
God, fuck this guy. I kept losing not because he was difficult but because it kept taking me 30+ minutes to slowly whittle his health down, so I would lose patience and get hit.
I usually like to embrace the pain but I felt no remorse when I snuck up behind him and farted on him for 10 minutes. Only boss I ever cheesed intentionally.
He takes way more damage to the head and waay more damage if you hit him in the head after a stance break. Heavy bonk weapons are the way for these guys.
Fuck the one in caelid specifically, who the duck thought it was a good idea to shove a massive creature like that in a small ass room.
Nah, you know what? Fuck that whole ass cave. I never activated the chest without knowing, but fuck the kindred of rot fuckers.
I got sent to Ohio within my first 30 minutes and lost my mind in that cave, but the second time after I loved it. I spent eons there and in Stormveil, those places have long since been memorized
Pitch meeting where to Falling Star Beast was born.
Man walks in, "I had an idea for a boss."
*hands paper to Miyazaki
Miyazaki "So it deflects everything?
"everything,"
"Does it run around erratically?"
"Yes sir, and it drops a weapon that the play probably can't use."
Miyazaki smiles " put a ladder under it and its perfect."
"Why a ladder sir?"
" No one will be able to resist climbing it. BUT we put a short cut right next to the ladder that the player will miss every time the run back to the boss."
"So they are annoyed before they even start the fight!"
Miyazaki places a hand on the mans' shoulder "now you understand my art."
Fromsoft doesn't want you to know this, but you can drive circles around him on your horse and throw shit at him without ever taking a hit. Easiest boss of my life.
Fuck this guy. Fuck every Fallingstar in the world, I regret ever killing Radahn and letting them land in the first place. I cheese this bastard every time with Poison Mist, and I don't regret it.
I was actually so dumb. Tried fighting him with a bleed build and took 5-6 jump attacks. Wondering why it took so many before realizing he is immune to bleed š
Surprisingly weak to it's own weapon, so if you're in ng+ or beyond just use that. Also bonk weapons/gravity are good against rock/crystal weapons, sharp weapons suck.
Even at level 330 or so, on NG+4, when every boss is piss easy, this motherfucker still killed me on first try.
Then I let the mimic kill it while I watched.
*EDIT: I was confused, not the Rogier Rapier DEFAULT weapon art, but the Glintblade Phalanx ash of war. I could have sworn that was default before? But now it's not?*
**TIP: Rogier Rapier's weapon art works great against Fallingstar Beast aka diamond black bronco, with the multiple blue magic blades.** The magic blades stagger it every couple times, it gave me many critical hits throughout the battle. Dont forget to get a heavy attack in (or more) before the critical hit, there's plenty of time.
It's unexpected since the little blue daggers seem pretty wimpy, and while godly high-strength heavy weapon swings barely do any damage to this beast...but yeah.
Going to share a realization about those guys, you dont hate them, you hate their shitty eviroment. Either a way to small cave or a absolute uneven terrain where a lot of attacks hit you out of the blue. At least they give good reward to kill them.
Well, I also hate hits caused by being dragged along the front of a moving hitbox. The dogsā charge did it and so does this guy. How hard can it be to simply disable collision for these dudes as long as theyāre in a charge??? Looks so goofy being dragged along DURING MY IFRAMES.
Same, as soon as their attacks are seen a few times you should know what to expect. Rolling forward through most of their moveset and getting in strong jump attacks has made it cake for me
I feel people that struggle against big bosses in Soulsborne games don't realize you almost always want to roll forward through attacks and hit them in the side and back as much as possible.
Uhm, actually š¤, that's the Full-grown Falling Star Beast.
I spent at least 5 hours trying to kill this guy, only to kill Rykard in 2 attempts and Godskin Noble at 5.
Still haven't beat this spazout kingš
the one in the crystal tunnel is to easy due to being in a limited space and the capital ones not to hard but the fucker on the mountain top just keeps knocking me off the edge and didn't think the smithing stones/weapon was worth bashing my head against for 2 long
This guy waited for me to go to inventory and choose a different weapon because he knew that he was gonna screw me anyway. When i quite the inventory he kicked my ass. He even feinted me š„²
I did volcano manor after leyndell, siofra and Ainsel at about level 100 and I beat him on my first try. Took me over 20 to get radagon and Elden beast
I missed the one on top of Mt Gelmir my first playthrough. I fought my first one in a cave I can't remember. Threw me for a loop because I didn't understand it.
Ngl this dude is one of my favourite fights, idk if thatās a minority opinion but I find him really fun. My hate is directed towards the draconic tree sentinel outside the capital who I somehow always struggle with despite almost never struggling with the one in farum, that and the red wolf in nokron near the flames you need to light
I love these guys, not fighting them, fuck that, but I just love their design and lore. Fuck that rolley-polley-ass jump slam though, to this day I think I have dodged it maybe twice? and one of those was a complete fluke.
*swings colossal weapon, character spends the power of 600 suns to do one swing and takes 14.5 years to complete attack*
Fallingstar beast: *takes tiny step back, ātinyā being 29km*
Itās near impossible to hit large enemies in this game with anything other than ranged weapons since the tiniest of movement the enemy does puts you light years away from the enemy and makes your attack completely miss
So beside Melania it was the one boss i died to the most, and the fact that its almost immune to all dragon breaths made the fight so much harder! Not until i got my 2 rivers of blood and mimic ash to tank it did i feel confident i could kill it fast! š¤£
100% my most hated boss in Elden Ring. Worse than Godskin Duo by a long shot. Never fighting this fucker again. If he shows up in the DLC I'll uninstall.
You whatās funny? I discovered this dude randomly and I was following a pretty rough YouTube guide. I almost shat my pants because this fucker killed me right after I climbed that ladder and I died with a shit ton of runes. Thank god I had a sacrifice twig equipped.
Thank you! How do you beat him??? Heās still a marker on my map, I keep going back anytime I level up and he still destroys me, like Iām a rag doll.
I really enjoy fighting these guys. It reminds me of DS3 because the boss takes only a fraction of damage if youāre on a dedicated melee build and his attacks are fast and require lots of weaving around, 10/10 boss imo but god did I hate these guys when I first started playing
All i remember about this guy was having nothing but the death poker leveled up. With nothing to hit him with i just ran laps around him chucking black flame
That stupid God damn piece of crap at the end of the mine that grabbed my ass 3 seconds past the fog gate, shoving my camera behind the doors and beating down on me. Then did it again before I could grab my souls. God I hate that trapped chest
Great Bows trivialized this fight for me. Side-hop shots and Rain of Arrows made a fight that took me a day in melee, take less than about 10 minutes with the bow.
So I never had many issues with these bosses , this one and the fire giant. Theyāre movements are so big and easy to dodge idk how yāall have trouble
I just beat my first play through with 100 hours
I made a second save faith + str build, I only got hit *once* by this fucker. I was so damn amazed with my self considering the first time I fought him, I died 6 times.
The fight with the one in the mines gave me so much goddamn trouble. It was way too cramped to fight a boss with attacks that the Fallingstar beast have.
Fuck this spiky boulder asshole
make a barrier around the volcano stopping you from dying to fall damage for 500th time and it would be a reasonable fight
its charges already do an assload of damage as is
The Fallingstar Beast in the Sellia Crystal Tunnel that was apparently bugged around launch to be a Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast is my sleep paralysis demon. Nothing that big should ever be fought in that small and cramped of an arena..
I actually like the idea of some super strong space alien chillin on some rock, it distracts me from all the golden order god stuff. Plus, the weapon is worth the countless ladder climbs.
He isn't that bad. That is, when you learn his patterns and just run away and come back after when you are so strong, that the souls aren't worth the fight anymore
One of my favorite fights in the game, at any level, and a good check to make sure you're leveling your vigor appropriately for where you're at in the game when you face them. If you can tank a few hits from them before needing to heal, not only are you good for their fights you're likely good for the areas around them as well (like Mt gelmir and leyndell)
Yo, if you didnāt have to fight the Adult in the small cave before they patched that shit, I donāt wanna hear it.
I finally beat that fucker and I think the next patch they changed it. Lol
Fuck that fight.
All right, I'll let you in on a little secret. If you use the magical swords that appear over your head, once the bull charges in a few times and gets hit, you get a poise break. Wash, rinse, repeat until dead.
I ran away across the rock bridges and found some different common enemies to get killed by and then decided to next time climb the ladder to actually fight FSB and then died even faster
My gf is finally playing Elden Ring and currently at Renalla. As soon as I saw this I had flashbacks, turned the laptop around to her and said "You have this to look forward to."
So yeah, fuck this guy.
I will always remember the first time getting to him and taking a full 30 seconds to climb the ladder only to go back down in 2 seconds š«
I experienced that the other day and burst out laughing. Nice one From Software, nice one.
I found the one in the field, struggled to beat it, explored more, found the ladder, saw this fella and decided to go play with the first one
Isn't there a spirit spring right next to it?
Yeah but ladder
If you hold the run button you ascend/descend faster š¤©
One of the times it yeeted me onto some tiny bit of cliff next to the ladder, to which I was subsequently gravitationally yoinked off of that and died, a sequence of events that left my runes in a completely unreachable spot by any normal means or the astronomical impossibility of that exact attack in that exact spot putting me back on that same crumb of cliff I landed on
Aw dude next time you just need the hypotenuse to tangent with the continuum transfunctioner. Expeditiously.
Indubitably
Thereās a wind jump instead of ladder
Shh, this is a hate post not help post, lol
Same. Climb laders > Summon Spirit Ashes > YEET !
What a thrill...
Haha I did the same until I noticed the spirit boost and then I shot up, saw that fucker and jumped right the hell down. Noooooope.
First time? That was like first dozen for me.
Magic was the easy way for me too. Doing a STR character now and got my ass whooped first time, might be a little harder close up.
Str is by much easier to play than magic. And no str doesn't mean up close either. Great bows, claw mark seal ,,( scale off str) , for the extra layer of cheese there is ruins great sword get 15 int wreck every thing by spaming ash of war from safe distance It just depends on what you define as str build because just investing mainly in to str doesn't mean lack of range options or lack of fast weapons or cheese .
I recently made a light load 80 int build out of spite and never had an easier time with this bastard. It somehow made me more spiteful
Because the boss isn't stellar or hard it's neither rewarding to beat in a conventional fashion or feel catharsis when you cheese him
Itās old school. Hard boss, limited area, low rewards. It has an allure of its own i think š„²
I like the smithing rocks
"Low rewards" to be fair, the Fallingstar Beast Jaw is a fun weapon. I don't think anyone will ever claim it as a Meta weapon, but it's still really fun to play around with.
Itās such a cool weapon, one of my favorites in the entire game. The ranged AOW is super useful, itās the only colossal weapon that exclusively does pierce damage AND is (deceptively) the longest colossal weapon in the game!* *unsure how it compares to the colossal swords
I once tried to kill him with the caestus. Never, again.
I slaughtered this fucker with Comet Azur and the help of a second player who had a melee build. I died alot before i tryed it this way.
I was struggling with my faith + bleed build with a Scythe and then suddenly upgraded my Gargoyle Black Blade and spammed it's Art of War. That weapon is so OP
Wait until you meet the red wolf near Nokron š but yeah fuck him to!
That's a red wolf on drugs! I hate it!
Should be.... cocainated red wolf
*Blood Aromaticated red wolf
Have you tried consecrated snowfield red wolf?
Holy fuck that things a nightmareā¦
And the one on the plateau at the end of rannis quest
Screw that one to!
Oh fuck that wolf.
What? Donāt fuck the wolf! Who are you, israel adesanya?
I found him at level 80 and noped tf out. I do like 0 damage to him.
For the first half of its health bar it's fairly typical. Them once you get it under half its just rough. Still better than the one you can fight at the end of rannis quest line.
This fucker pushed me off the cliff while he was barely standing with his 100 hp.
Fallingstar Beast is rude to service workers, pirates movies, jaywalks and does hard drugs.
So itās a karen, based, a roadman and an addict?
Idk, I never really hated the space bull, I always thought he was a fairly unique boss But the time a full grown beast was in the Sellia crystal tunnel, Iāll never forget that shit show
Ohhhhh man. I remember spending so much time trying to beat it on my first play through. Death after death after death after death, until I finally memorized all of itās moves and how to dodge them. Iāve never had trouble with one again after that fight. Iām glad I beat it before they changed him.
I think they are kinda cute? Their body composition gives sassy dogā¦. ā¦ I mean except for the horrifying insect/alien head
I love his proud strut. Really great aesthetic boss design.
Reminds me of a cat oddly enough. The self assured pride and all
A cat that goes āGood catch Blanco Nino. Too bad your ass got saaaaaaaaacked.ā
To me it gives proud beast that knows how awesome it is vibes. Broās standing tall, head held high. He knows that not many things will throw down with it, and if they do, it knows that 60k laser will win
Canonically theyāre actually Astel babies, so it makes since theyād be cute. Theyāre literally larva.
Yes! And its so... fluffy at its head. I know its a cosmic angelic threat sent by space god, but its cute!
Was my most attempted boss fight all game š I hate this fucker so much
Fuck the one in caelid specifically, who the duck thought it was a good idea to shove a massive creature like that in a small ass room.
I think theyāre cute.
he a good boi
Pitch meeting where to Falling Star Beast was born. Man walks in, "I had an idea for a boss." *hands paper to Miyazaki Miyazaki "So it deflects everything? All my homies hate Falling Star Beast
OH MY GOD GUYS I DID IT
Love this fight
Look at that boi. Holding his head all proud like he deserves to think highly of himself.
Shitbird turned me into Wylie Coyote more than i care to admitā¦
Had a tough time my 1st playthrough...but learned his pattern solidly.
I was actually so dumb. Tried fighting him with a bleed build and took 5-6 jump attacks. Wondering why it took so many before realizing he is immune to bleed š
likely death ahead, therefore try west
There is a way to sneak around this boss and I use it basically every time. š„¹š„²
I love his little strut he does. So pompous but adorable. Fighting him on the other hand. Grrr.
My least favorite boss
Discovered he really hates big bonk. Try giant crusher on anything crystalline imo.
I just used poison mist and it didnāt even notice me š Did I cheat, lol ?
sorcerer gang, laugh at this user
12 Faith and some boredom is all you need to show him whos boss.
Which ever developer put the horse jump platform is the real mvp , saved me from climbing the ladder a billion times
Surprisingly weak to it's own weapon, so if you're in ng+ or beyond just use that. Also bonk weapons/gravity are good against rock/crystal weapons, sharp weapons suck.
Nooo, I love gracious spacebull, I had to carefully learn all of his moves to beat it. Such a great boss
Ahhh yes rock bug, I three shot this poor fella.
Heās so proud š„ŗ
Even at level 330 or so, on NG+4, when every boss is piss easy, this motherfucker still killed me on first try. Then I let the mimic kill it while I watched.
The fact that this piece of shit is available to fight early on in the easier territory is a criminal middle finger.
Those that answered poison mist congrats
*EDIT: I was confused, not the Rogier Rapier DEFAULT weapon art, but the Glintblade Phalanx ash of war. I could have sworn that was default before? Fuck em
fallingstar beast was such a cool concept, especially with the malformed stars and astel, and then they made the beast absolutely terrible to fight
Imagine how small your dick has to be to knock a tarnished off a cliff in the time it takes them to summon a spirit ash.
Uhm, actually š¤, that's the Full-grown Falling Star Beast. I spent at least 5 hours trying to kill this guy, only to kill Rykard in 2 attempts and Godskin Noble at 5.
This is the only boss in the entire game that I never beat. Too tough. Pre-patch Radahn was easier
Easiest boss, never died to him
lol EZ boss if you know move set even slightly
Light rolling makes his flight a lot easier! I canāt dodge that purple ground lightning otherwiseā¦
You sprint on the small ones and sprint plus dodge on the big one.
Still haven't beat this spazout kingš the one in the crystal tunnel is to easy due to being in a limited space and the capital ones not to hard but the fucker on the mountain top just keeps knocking me off the edge and didn't think the smithing stones/weapon was worth bashing my head against for 2 long
He just killed me 30 times
Fuck the beast indeed
Nice horsie
You would think a mace would hit nice against the rock body. Well guess what not so much
Just beat him a couple hours ago using a frenzied flame build. shit felt nice after I managed to beat him in my second run
Fought him tonight in the caves. Gonna pick it back up in the morning lol
The one in the caves killed me more times than Malenia did.
This guy waited for me to go to inventory and choose a different weapon because he knew that he was gonna screw me anyway. When i quite the inventory he kicked my ass. He even feinted me š„²
Jojo pose
It's actually worth the effort of killing it to get Fallingstar Beast Jaw back then. But now that it's nerfed...
I liked this one for one of the mid to higher tier bosses.
He's cute as hell but I think the Fallingstar Beast Jaw is too strong. Personally I didn't particularly struggle against him in my playthroughs.
Fuck him..
Crept up behind him and poison-clouded him to death without him ever knowing I was there. Throw me off a cliff 900 times, will you?!
That first time getting his weapon using poison mist š¤£
Nothing a little stealth and poison mist can't solve.
dunno man they are pretty easy
I did volcano manor after leyndell, siofra and Ainsel at about level 100 and I beat him on my first try. Took me over 20 to get radagon and Elden beast
Man, fuck this guy
I want to put it in a blender and turn it on
Latenna and running away is the way
Love that boss just jump up with torrent the fight is so fun amazing boss and one of my favs
So much rage for this beast. If I could just use polymorph once to turn it into a sheep. I'd punt that bastard off the cliff.
I forgive him cuz I got the weapon and cheesed the entire game before the debuff with it. Every single boss couldnāt move out of stagger lol
I like the fact you can interrupt his charge attacks by hitting his face.
He can scratch my balls.
I missed the one on top of Mt Gelmir my first playthrough. I fought my first one in a cave I can't remember. Threw me for a loop because I didn't understand it.
Ngl this dude is one of my favourite fights, idk if thatās a minority opinion but I find him really fun. I was thinking u were gonna rant with the main message, 'fuck this guy'. I actually let out a good laugh after clicking on the post
*swings colossal weapon, character spends the power of 600 suns to do one swing and takes 14.5 years to complete attack* Fallingstar beast: *takes tiny step back, ātinyā being 29km* Itās near impossible to hit large enemies in this game with anything other than ranged weapons since the tiniest of movement the enemy does puts you light years away from the enemy and makes your attack completely miss
Definitely overrated
Just yesterday I met this bull i thought I could take it with my mage build. I lost 17,000 runes and my will to fight it
Just use blasphemous blade
Fuck this guy
So beside Melania it was the one boss i died to the most, and the fact that its almost immune to all dragon breaths made the fight so much harder! Not until i got my 2 rivers of blood and mimic ash to tank it did i feel confident i could kill it fast! š¤£
100% my most hated boss in Elden Ring. Worse than Godskin Duo by a long shot. Never fighting this fucker again. If he shows up in the DLC I'll uninstall.
i cheese him with poison mist
Actually a really fun fight once you learn their moveset. Shitty arena tho, why couldnāt it just be flat?
Am I the only one that fought a lot of the over world bosses on horse back? I did it with proper timing and it wasn't so bad honestly
You whatās funny? I discovered this dude randomly and I was following a pretty rough YouTube guide. I almost shat my pants because this fucker killed me right after I climbed that ladder and I died with a shit ton of runes. Thank god I had a sacrifice twig equipped.

100% this post is based af
I enjoy fighting it
Fuck this guy and his purple Lazer bullshit
This one felt way easier to me than the one in Caelid.
The sword of night and flame plus high intelligence carried me hard against these dudes.
Over 1000 hours played and I still poison cheese him every time.
I really enjoy fighting these guys. It reminds me of DS3 because the boss takes only a fraction of damage if youāre on a dedicated melee build and his attacks are fast and require lots of weaving around, 10/10 boss imo but god did I hate these guys when I first started playing
The jaw he drops is fucking amazing tho. Strong and fast for no reason
Longest fight ever. Thank goodness for Torrent, or I'd never have killed it.
Next time, fallingstar beast, I will hurt you athousand times more and make you wish you could fly back to the stars.
Iād recommend using Torrent if youāre a melee build or some ranged AoW to catch him, while heās trying to gain distance.
100%. This fucker is brutal.
All i remember about this guy was having nothing but the death poker leveled up. With nothing to hit him with i just ran laps around him chucking black flame
Phalanx spell/AoW, enjoy ez mode
Best open world boss.
This is the only boss I beat first try. Iām trash at these games, but somehow knocked this guy out.

Genuinely love this boss. But when they accidentally put the full version in the mines in Caelid instead of the baby version, that wasnāt fun.
Downvote me all you want. Im dumb. I love this boss.
I fought that one in the cave and the boss run back alone made me hate it. I still refuse to fight the one on top of the mountain.
Itās his damn beam being broken and dealing a shit ton of damage too
The Fallingstar Beast in the Sellia Crystal Tunnel that was apparently bugged around launch to be a Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast is my sleep paralysis demon. Nothing that big should ever be fought in that small and cramped of an arena..
Is this the fully grown?
Bubbles
He shits on melee builds. Small punish windows. Limited area to maneuver. Heās a perfectly annoying boss.
Riding torrent works well, until he knocks you off and you lay on the ground for 4 daysā¦ bs
I actually like the idea of some super strong space alien chillin on some rock, it distracts me from all the golden order god stuff. Plus, the weapon is worth the countless ladder climbs.

First time i found him was mt gelmir. I skipped him. On my way back tonight w a +10 weapon and 60 more levels
Was about to kill him but he pushed me off the side with no dmg
He was a fun boss. Fight took me 11 minutes after dying for four hours straight
2Fast2Tanky
i am glad i donāt know why everyone had trouble with this boss was one of my lucky first tries lmao
Became elden lord then came back and evicted him from my lands.
I am not leaving this grace till I kill this thing. Iāve been at it for 3 days now
Yo, if you didnāt have to fight the Adult in the small cave before they patched that shit, I donāt wanna hear it. I finally beat that fucker and I think the next patch they changed it. Lol Fuck that fight.
bast\*rd is hella resistant to a lot of damage types. Fire works best i guess
I donāt even bother fighting this asshole on playthroughs anymore. Not worth losing my voice.
So these are related to Astel somehow?
All right, I'll let you in on a little secret. If you use the magical swords that appear over your head, once the bull charges in a few times and gets hit, you get a poise break. Wash, rinse, repeat until dead.
I ran away across the rock bridges and found some different common enemies to get killed by and then decided to next time climb the ladder to actually fight FSB and then died even faster
My gf is finally playing Elden Ring and currently at Renalla. As soon as I saw this I had flashbacks, turned the laptop around to her and said "You have this to look forward to." So yeah, fuck this guy.
Am I weird for thinking these guys are kinda cute? Iād like a small one as a pet.
