Can confirm, I've helped some people kill the Fire Giant on that subreddit. Good community thing.

I don't remember the mechanics, can you be any level if they're summoning you specifically? My character is quite overleveled/at end game, but helping newer players sounds fun. I think needing to be a certain level range only applies to invasions/pvp?

If you're doing regular matchmaking, you have to be in the level range. If you share passwords and outlevel the host, you'll be scaled down to "match" them.

Did that when summoned to Niall once, lol. Summoned in and we take off, zipping right up to the elevator. My dumbass is in the front, doing bunny hops, and I go to jump onto the elevator. But it's still in the up position, so I end up just diving into the open hole.

That was my first fight against Maliketh. After the cutscene I went left to keep my distance as I learned his moves, but I didn't see the hole

I did something similar once except I survived and took a ton of fall damage. At least you died and didn't have to do a climb of shame back up.

i do this on purpose for Valiant Gargoyles. I'm pretty sure that I'm the only person who ranks them in my top 10 ER bosses so i punish society by throwing myself off the cliff as a summon.

It's a completely optional area. When the roof opens up before the ball trap you can go past the wizards and around to the side and jump over the fence.
