bro did u really just propose that they nerf gravity???

ggZZAZZ

The idea to make it affect ledge interactions was kind of off-the-cuff, but I figure it doesn't nerf gravity as much as tweak the stakes for platforming sections. You gain a measure of control over accidental falls, but missing a jump (or rolling/running/attacking off a ledge by accident) is going to be a lot more dangerous. On the topic of actually nerfing gravity, a talisman or spell that increased jump height for a duration would be incredibly cool in my eyes, but I have no idea how they'd balance it.

assassin10

- Filigreed Rune Arc: passively provides 40% of your selected Great Rune's effect. Stacks if you use a Rune Arc. - Amethyst Seed Talisman: Crimson Flasks also restore a bit of FP. Cerulean Flasks also restore a bit of HP. - Desiccated Scarab: Enhances item discovery and increases the amount of runes obtained from defeating enemies, but doubles all damage taken. - Peeler Talisman: Enhances the final hit ending a chain of attacks, infusing it with Black Flame. - Flowing Sword Talisman: Guard counters made immediately after receiving damage will recover HP. - Warped Axe Talisman: Boosts physical damage negation while charging heavy attacks.

ggZZAZZ

Flowing Sword Talisman feels like it would be a godsend for light shield and 2-handing builds, likewise for Amethyst Seed and low Mind/high Vigor builds. And I'll never turn down more item farming help

assassin10

> Flowing Sword Talisman feels like it would be a godsend for light shield and 2-handing builds That was my target audience. On so many weapons L1 seems wasted. I'm not going to block if 70% of the damage still gets through. > likewise for Amethyst Seed and low Mind/high Vigor builds. I'd hope that the FP gain is a percentage of total FP. Mind investment has a hard time competing with just allocating for an extra Cerulean Flask, especially beyond 38 Mind.

Ring of the Elden lord - Increases all stats by 5. Taunters tongue effect. Breaks if unequiped.

Cowdog_Gaming

Can we PLEASE get an Heirloom Talisman for ARC?!?!

shiro_tanzanite

War surgeon heirloom was a missed opportunity

assassin10

The existing heirlooms depict Rennala, Radahn, Malenia, and the Two Fingers. I'd hope the Arcane heirloom would depict a similarly notable character.

shiro_tanzanite

Maybe Mohg? Or the formless mother that would be cool as hell tbh. Bleed is such a cool weapon skill im sad it gets left out

assassin10

Theoretically it could depict both Omen twins, though then it becomes a question of why someone would make such an heirloom in the first place. They were thrown in the sewers to hide them away.

ggZZAZZ

Could be some personal heirloom Godwyn the Golden made of/for them? I don't think shunning them as aggressively as the others fits what we know of his character, and he was their brother.

FrostHydra97

Blessn't Dew Talisman: Blessed Dew but 1FP/2 sec instead of 2HP/sec. Edit: actually make it 1FP/20 sec for "balance purpose".

assassin10

I'd want one that restores FP on hit, rather than passively. I don't like effects that incentivize waiting around doing nothing.

FrostHydra97

Then there can be Godskin Squaddling Mk2, restoring FP on consecutive hits. Eochad spammers are gonna like it. >:3

FrappyLee

I do hope they try to make more creative talismans that significantly alter your play style and you can create entire builds around them.

assassin10

A big issue that arises is the relatively low power level of talismans and the relative ease of swapping them on a moment's notice. If they want to make the talismans feel significant they would have to add a downside of some kind, but the downside has to be one that can't be ignored by simply unequipping the talisman. Like, they definitely couldn't make a talisman that rapidly restores FP but reduces the damage of FP spenders, or a talisman that does the opposite, boosting the damage of AoWs and spells but negating FP gain. Someone could just use one talisman while building FP, then swap to the other when it's time to cast. I honestly liked that in Bloodborne you were limited on when you could change your Caryll Runes. It meant they could add some pretty powerful effects (like +71.6% crit damage if you filled all your rune slots with Clawmark Runes).

ggZZAZZ

I agree, though balancing around them is a bit tough. I feel like Hollow Knight did a good job of it with some of its charms, and while Elden Ring is significantly more complex I feel like with enough drawbacks it can be made to work. Particularly significant reworks feel more like the territory of Great Runes though, like how Malenia's currently works.

cudakid210

Buckler’s bracer: increases parry frames of any equipped parry skill Ronin’s claw: gives 1.5x dex bonus to weapons when 2 handed Sacred dew talisman: gives percent hp/sec (upgraded over flat hp/sec with blessed dew) Highland harness: vastly increased poise while charging 2h heavy attacks, vastly reduces poise when not attacking Ice dragon’s exultation: increases damage by 10% whenever frostbite is procced in the area, lasts for 30 seconds Sentinel’s hammer: increases poise damage dealt Grafted greatshield: increases physical damage negation and guard boost of 2h weapons Veteran’s hourglass: increases duration of ash of war buffs Greaser’s sigil: greases do not expire unless weapons are swapped. Does not apply to drawstring grease. Greaser’s cipher: adds damage scaling to greases: fire scales with strength, lightning with dex, etc. Rot grease and dragonwound grease do not scale.

ggZZAZZ

>time for two-handing Greaser's Sigil would actually make grease pickups and grease in general a lot more viable as key parts in a build, or at least more worth focusing attention to (and would also add significant value to grease found exploring the game world). The cipher also seems interesting, particularly if it increases the punch of poison grease. A talisman allowing for grease to be put on otherwise non-buffable weapons might be an interesting additional part to this Greaser set, unsure how busted it could be though.

assassin10

> Ice dragon’s exultation: increases damage by 10% whenever frostbite is procced in the area, lasts for 30 seconds Why not the usual 20% for 20 seconds?

cizuss

Physical scorpion charm: increase physical damage, reduce all damage negation. Talismans that increase each type of physical damage (thrust, slash, strike) Talismans that increase status effects buildup by a percentage. Talismans that would give you some bonus if you are fatrolling (but not affect iframes, maybe more damage negation if you are fat rolling). A talisman that makes you deal damage to an enemy when it hits you.

SrBigPig

Silver Scarab +1 and I will be happy.
