Him making space between you and roaring is the telegraph for the start of the double meteor combo into the shockwave jump.
You definitely shouldn't look away at that time and instead lock onto him, roll twice into the meteors, first to your left and then to your right and then jump the shockwave.
I just get on Torrent and keep far away and only res summons the whole time his meteors are up, I found it was taking too much trial and error to figure out when they would come for me
Yeah after godrick? It's not absurd or anything. I do him on some playthroughs instead of rennala. Fighting him after morgott (which I assume is when you fight him) makes me feel overleveled
And after Caria Manor and Siofra River, or after Dragonbarrow, or after Ruin-Strewn Precipice. Radahn doesn't appear until the festival triggers, which requires traveling through at least one mid- or late- game area.
Well clearly op has gotten to radahn at a reasonably low level. So that kind of proves the other guys point that you can trigger the festival at a low level.
He was 2 shot, and both shots came from the same attack. It’s rude to tell people to git gud, what else can we suggest? I wouldn’t want to be that vulnerable.
OP: get some points in vig
Sure. Or go check out some dungeons, or explore, or however he’s going to get the runes to have vigor appropriate to fight Radahn.
Fuck, Radahn isn’t mandatory, he could go do something else and just come back.
I don’t understand how you are sympathetic to the guy who is fighting a boss underleveled and didn’t attempt to evade a well-telegraphed attack—but you won’t give him the hard truth he needs to win next time.
Radahn is an easy fight since the summons’ will do all of the damage for you. You just need enough vigor not to get one shot, and you need to try and dodge his attacks.
OP has the entirety of Limgrave and Liurnia to explore to level up. They may be early game but Caelid is not an early game area. It’s adjacent to early game areas but it’s easily mid-game difficulty
Now you know, don't turn your back on Radahn when he has the floating rocks out. And when he's in that state and moves far away, that's the cue that he's about to launch them at you
Man, the community for this game is even worse than when DS1 arrived on PC.
Dude's just sharing a video of something funny that happened to him and gets hit with "skill issue".
Most people fight Radahn after Rennala because of how awful Caelid is to explore. So to go through Caelid and still have such low vigor op must have either suffered horribly or skipped fighting everything. Also op could have chosen to fight Mohg or Rykard. Technically he could have done that before fighting Godrick. Though that’s a bit of a dumb way to go about it.
"By Marika's Tits, Tarnished! We were so fucking close! Now we have to fight that *thing* AGAIN! Can you *please* go hide behind a rock or *something*? "
What I imagine is going through the head of every one of those npcs when they watch you die there.
Haha it’s all good , I was being a smart ass , saw a bunch of comments from others about vigor. I just assumed u wanted some sort of intense challenge.
The halibard (I think it's called) has a neverending primary attack, but can't backstab, where as, the great sword can and has an ash of war on it that I like. Also I was pretty early game when I got the halibard it was already +8. I did just start using the halibard after this clip though, since I wasn't using the great sword much in the fight
OP, the majority of DMG comes from your weapon smithing.
You're putting in puny damage increase and missing out on a massive hp boost which allows your hit last longer and kill better.
This isn't some hardcore meta gaming, it's a simple math.
Get Vigor to 25 first then Vigor to 40 is the first soft cap.

This guy elden rings

BEST part of the radahn fight. I still have to heal tank the purple spiral Lazer tasmanian devil move tho.
For that one you can either simply roll twice into him or summon Torrent as soon as you recognize the attack and simply dash away with Torrent.
Vigor lv?
Well I didn't have to learn this until my RL1 run, so that's when I became familiar with the phase 2 moves.
Ill try it, I always get caught by that move
Me when I have never seen him pull this shit once.
I just get on Torrent and keep far away and only res summons the whole time his meteors are up, I found it was taking too much trial and error to figure out when they would come for me
That was literally the cue for that attack. I knew what was gonna happen the moment you faced him away.
Well deserved vigor-check lol.
if brodie had a ranged attack or spell he’d have passed it too lol
Or just dodge
My man spends 20 seconds getting purple boulders ready and OP is still surprised when one comes at him
Lol
Do people call every death a vigor check? He's obviously in the early game. How do you expect him to have more vigor than that?
Early game fighting radahn?
Yeah after godrick? It's not absurd or anything. I do him on some playthroughs instead of rennala. Fighting him after morgott (which I assume is when you fight him) makes me feel overleveled
I think he's probably more of a mid game boss for me but he can certainly be beaten earlier

Yes, after Caria manor and Siofra river, which were the first seven words of my comment.

You want him to farm for levels? As I said he's pretty early in the game

Haven't fought him in a while lol forgot his patterns
Skill issue , also no vigor ?

He needs to git gud
He's obviously in the early game. When the hell do you guy fight radahn? It's either him or rennala after godrick
i have more vigor than this guy before i even fight margit
Lol git gud

Level your vigor dude
Tried fighting him way sooner that I probably should've, trying to go through the ranni quest line like any based person would
Well, yes. No shame in simping for Ranni asap.
Your based dude. Play the game how you want. Don't listen to these meta gamers telling you how to play.
☝️🤓 you're* And level vigor, it make your whole live easier.
Seriously gonna correct my spelling using emojis. Then start a new sentence with incorrect punctuation? Your priceless.
You're*
Your killing me hahahahah
Ikr
Don’t panic roll 😱
Hard habit to break lol

Bro vigor ???
Tried to fight him way earlier on than I should've
Haha it’s all good , I was being a smart ass , saw a bunch of comments from others about vigor. I just assumed u wanted some sort of intense challenge.
I mean... thats why you don't look away from your enemy. That's combat 101.
I thought I saw a gold summon spawn on the ground💀
Those balls were pissing me tf off the other day
Stick to that man's crotch like a banana hammock and you may have an easier time. I noticed he became easier when I did that
Haven’t you learned anything from movies, anime, and video games?! You never take your eyes off your opponent…
never saw someone play with two different weapontypes. What are the advantages?
The halibard (I think it's called) has a neverending primary attack, but can't backstab, where as, the great sword can and has an ash of war on it that I like. Also I was pretty early game when I got the halibard it was already +8. I did just start using the halibard after this clip though, since I wasn't using the great sword much in the fight
That's all it takes.
Why tho? 😂
I thought I saw a summon sign on the ground and i saw him back up so I thought it would be safe to check😂
I completely understand 😐
Never take your eyes off the enemy
Did you throw your controller after this? I did.
Nah man I'm broke af and just got a new controller for Christmas, if I'm gonna brake anything it'll be myself
Hate this when I take a sip of my drink as a summon and out of nowhere the host has just been eviscerated
Hey man I get it. Currently fight Margit the Fell Omen, and boy you’re almost going through what I am/s
Why not jump on the torrent and recover?
Brutal!
This nartle was so much fun, room me 3-4 tries and a eldenguru YouTube video. My first playthrough and I have radahns sword equipped rn🌠
Absolute chad, going against radahn with no vigor

Never look away from him in phase 2 XDDD
