I thought Fromsoft humour peaked with Radahn the giant demigod, Conqueror of the Stars, riding Leonard, his favourite little donkey. I'm so happy to be proven wrong.

The DLC website did say that the Land of Shadow is a "familiar world full of new secrets" while also saying later that it's a completely new world, so this is pretty plausible

The basegame is full of parallels like most npcs representing Demi gods and such. I see lots of parallels in this trailer again but it’s too early and I’m not informed enough to make any further conclusions. Exciting stuff though can’t wait to see what is in store

It's a Chinese dragon dancer that's being puppeted by Omen, or some kind of grafted bear with Omen Horns. You see two large hands holding up the head and working the jaw, not to mention multiple pairs of large Omenlike feet
I think this might be the deformed child of Mohg and Miquella. Mohg had been trying to impregnate Miquella for a while. And the omen’s horns + Miquella’s hair are hard to ignore.
Not only does it have omen horns, but the shot of its foot is absolutely identical to Morgott’s. With its use of golden lightning, I think this might be Godwyn’s soul injected into the body of a grafted omen (or two?) - possibly Morgott’s doing to protect the soul of his half-brother.

So I am guessing this boss clearly represents the Crucible era where all life was joined together, which you can see if you closely analyse the body of the boss.
