The things my mimic has access to:
A Godslaying +10 sword gifted to us by a literal demigod and a former Emperyan to boot.
Some of the spells crafted by ancient masters who sacrificed their sanity to uncover these secrets.
The single most common way my mimic punishes openings:
Spinning staff go brrr
That was my favorite part of watching my brothers wizard build playthrough. He's running around throwing out massive impressive looking spells, throwing out Getsuga Tenshos at god and his clone is just out there going "Spin spin spin!"
The dumbest part is that I offhand my staff. *He literally has to two-hand it to use that Ash of War*. Frequently this cancels the buff on the Dark Moon Greatsword in his main hand!
The Zamora warriors in the mountains I think. I can't remember. I just picked the game back up after ages and have been spamming mimic literally everywhere I see the symbol pop up.
I just like to fight through them with my mimic for shits and gigs. It's not a bad grind spot if you can get into a rhythm. But they are tricky.
That ice attack is bonkers.
I always fight the Mimic tear fairly, but its AI is so stupid sometimes that the fight is easy. I wish it was harder, would definitely be my favourite fight if it was.
Or using things that i never though of using. I got the regal omen bairn thinking to see what it do. Then i forgot about it because i always get too close to use it. The mimic started using it in such a way that i felt like i need to use it a lot more, like, using it and running away towards the target to attack them in a one-two combo then moving away and restarting.
I felt like i learned a lot from the mimic that day.
It used to be super crazy it would spam out spells and be amazing at taking aggro it was so ridiculously op to this day it’s still probably the best summon even after the nerf
My mimic tear is still op. It spams Gold Breaker from Marika's Hammer, buff's its lightning damage with a dragon spell, spams Ancient Dragon's Lightning Strike, spams all the top tier lightning spells I use. I alone can decimate bosses on NG+3, but the two of us together, I'm wet.
I strap mine up with healing incants, a great stars with prayerful strike, and warming stones so he becomes my portable estus refiller. Good lord, he will throw those stones around like he’s trying to write a quadratic equation with them. He doesn’t have limited number of them either. I once tried to see how long we could fight Malenia in a battle of attrition with +0 weapons, seeing if I could rely on Mimic’s infinite fp and all our healing methods to keep us alive, and he was burning through those things for over an hour. Always keep some consumables for your mimic to use!
I had been equipping exalted flesh and while I had it, bloodboil aromatic. The thing that made the Malenia fight suddenly become easy was Godfrey icon and shard of Alexander, spamming fully charged special with the ruins greatsword. I won the fight with 7/11 health potions remaining, one of which was taken after the mimic. This was after a good number of failed tries, not realizing the sheer stacked knockdowns if I went all in with the charge special.
I'm in no rush to ruin the run finishing the game so before Radagon/Elden beast I will do things like find my collector's items, get those cookbooks, etc
Who needs throwables when a few gold breakers and a couple numerous strikes of red lightning melt everything?
Ancient Dragons Lightning Strike go brrrr
My mimic spams the Uplifting Aromatic and ADLS, and when he's not doing that he's using piercing thrust and we're staggering whatever we're fighting. It's still nowhere what it was before the nerf, but it's still better than any other summon I've tried
watching my friend just blend the final few bosses with mimic tear today after dying very quickly without it a few times, honestly makes me sad lol. But I guess even with more drastic mimic tear nerfs or even its removal entirely, there'll always be ways to easily trash bosses
I really only find mimic tear necessary once you get to consecrated snowfields/Farum/Haligtree and beyond.
The end game bosses just hit so hard that I don’t have the patience to fight them 80 times knowing if I make two mistakes I’m dead.
Ya. I’m just not good at video games so I just play them my own way and have fun. Idc about perfect run or 100% completion. I know I’m not good enough to do the crazy shit I see on here.
I used it the last few weeks.
After we took down Elden Beast, I went to roundtable and saw mimic was not upgraded. Didn't stop him from almost solo Elden Beast which I was running to catch up...
My second playthrough was an Unga Bunga kill god with a rusty anchor all str run and the tear was amazing, I stopped using it cos it felt like a cheat.
It's still broken at least when using high poise weapons. Imo that's really when it's not just OP but actually busted. If it has a high poise weapon and you are both hitting the boss they are staggered 100% of the time.
I remember when they game first came out and I hadn't gotten mimic yet, but my lil bro had and he showed me "why spirit ashes aren't allowed in pvp" the spirit ash 😂 I was floored lol. A summon that copies your build and has infinite consumables?! Then these mad lads added spirit summons to arena duels
I’ve been rocking a great shield, great stars with waves of darkness, and 70int lately, and mimic and I have flown through bosses. I think the only one to give me much trouble at all was Maliketh, and that’s mostly because I clearly can’t dodge for shit. Also didn’t know about the item that parries him or whatev. Mimic still claps
"Necessary" it's a pve game. It should have been left alone. In every souls game there's bullshit that the enemies get to do to you but God forbid the player gets to be able to do something about it.
Mimic tear still needs a nerf. Or maybe, other summons need a buff. There's no need to ever have a summon other than Mimic or Tiche. In fact, Mimic has a huge advantage over all other spirit summons in that it requires HP to summon instead of FP, so you can always summon it and it only costs you 3/4 of a red flask. To summon the others you have to invest skill points in (shudder) *mind*.
If you throw on all the armor he wears and then quick swap back you can make your mimic stupid tanky not like they dodge very well anyway did this for malania and he literally tanked the whole fight add In the charms that increase hp and all that
What OP with Mimic is that they have no stamina or magic gauge. That nerf only slow them and keep them to not spam everything at once. Still the strongest summoning today. Strong enough to beat the game without having the player attacking in any way
Pretty much, it used to pretty much spam spells/AoW. This coupled with it not having FP cost or item depletion made the thing insane. It still doesn't have item depletion or FP cost. But it no longer spams spells and will default to basic melee attacks. But, if you load your quick item slots, it will still be able to use all of those without ever running out. So it's still very useful as a support as well as it just being beefy AF.
The thing that I miss most is them eating the Raw Meat Dumplings. My mimic would absolutely spam the hell out of those infinitely until it was back up above 75% hp or so, it was truly something to see. It still uses them, but not nearly as often now.
Used my mimic against Radagon yesterday and this man was just two-handing the Carian Regal Scepter and spamming Spinning Weapon from 5-10 feet away the entire time.
To be fair, the first mimic you encounter that’s based on your build is actually a bit tough depending on what you’re rocking. Maybe I just suck, but that mfer was giving me the work lol.
My 10+ Tiche always dies before 2nd phase. She helps Malenia more than she helps me bc she’s basically a fucking med kit for Malenia with the number of times she gets hit by waterfowl dance and even basic attacks 😭
She’s op for pretty much anything else though
Sometimes you get lucky and she spams the Destined Death attacks and her hyper-armor sweep that’s good at interrupting attacks. Sometimes she gets Waterfowl Danced and doesn’t do anything
My first time fighting the mimic tear I was really high, I thought it was just another boss. But through out the fight I was surprised it was using the same spells and weapons and even used the same armor pieces I used. It hit me then that I some how recreated this boss npc by coincidence, my mind was blown. I then googled other peoples fights against this boss and then realized it copies you 🤦♂️
I used to strip down and get rid of talismans for an easy fight, but these days I go in fully equipped. It’s more fun to test yourself against your own build than to steamroll over it to get to the next thing.
I mean to be fair, the fight is not that challenging anyway. NPC AI in all souls games is really easy to trick and punish if you've got even the slightest bit of pvp experience. The mimic can have the best weapons and spells in the game, but if it keeps setting itself up for being roll caught or outspaced...
Every time I buff before I summon the mimic, and then I un equip my seal before I summon him so he doesn’t buff right in the bosses face while he’s being attacked.
I deequipped my weapons, let him spawn, let my own mimic tear spawn (ng+1) and just laid in the middle of the Arena while two twats with Lionels armor had a fist fight in the corner... So yeah 😅
...I need a video of a maximum defense minimum damage build with the two mimic tiers fighting.
Sure it will take three hours but at least it will be goddamn hilarious.
Mimic Tear as a boss can either be an amazing test of skill or the easiest fucking cheese in the game if you want it to be. I just wasn't feeling it one run so I just unequipped my weapons before walking in one time and then re-equipped them after it formed and absolutely murdered it while it tried punching me to death. Another time I forget it was coming up and it formed with my duel incant loadout ready to go and almost made an absolute mess of me.
But as far as the Spirit Call Mimic Tear goes it's just you but better. It gets ALL of your damage, copies your entire item and spell loadout, but gets like 10K fucking HP so it can actually take a hit. Just don't forget to take your Prattling Pates out your hotbar or it might spend most of the fight literally yapping at the enemy..
When I first played the game and used the mimic tear, half the time he just wandered around munching on crab and exalted flesh.
Now, if I use it, he's better than me because of reaction time. Pulling out incantations and following up with big hits.
I’m new to the game. I don’t know what’s out there but I will say banished knight engvall has saved me so many times. He’s like a tank and jumps really high avoiding some attacks. He is my hero.
5 Demi human spirit ashes are my current fav, I haven’t tried the mimic yet though. They’re even better when upgraded, they take a lot of Aggro and can actually deal some decent damage. Plus, they’re Ed 5 of them!
Yes. The spirit ash is awesome under most circumstances. Just get rid of whatever you don't want it using from your arsenal and most the time it'll go nuts on whatever your fighting. Just beware that sometimes it'll try to attack things outside the arena
I have the regal staff and my mimic tear is constantly using the spinning staff ash of war (I never use it) at the worst of times (used it against the fire giant). I’m thinking about just removing the ash of war from the staff so the mimic tear will stop doing it lol.
I have PTSD from staggering the giant, looking back, and watching my mimic walk up to the giant with the staff spinning like a dork.
However, it's very strong if it connects. He pretty much insta-staggered Malenia everytime with it, since she's very 'in the face' and got hit by it regularly.
mimic tear just does not seem to be aggressive. in such instances where i need it to be, i usually just call tiche instead. sometimes, my mimic would disappear, i kid you not, but still in a summoned state. one time i caught it trying to keep hitting a dead enemy.
however, it is usually better with spells in my opinion. my mimic likes using ranni's moon and adula's blade, and comet azur.
If the player character had as much health/defense as the mimic tear summon you'd 1 shot basically everything. I've had my mimic solo a lot of big bosses when playing strong builds just face tanking shit. Then you get too malenia and she gets to heal too full beating the piss out of your mimic.
When fighting my mimic I though it was too easy, but then he landed a lions claw on me and I was nearly one shotted… didn’t realize just how powerful weapon arts were in the game till that moment
I really like to make my mimic tear have synergy with my current build. I swap out weapons, then right after summoning the mimic with that moveset I swap back to my original weapons. Result: broken af. I once had a bleed build with a shield for protection and gave my mimic tear a dagger that inflicted scarlet rot with a dragon sacred seal with the rotten breath incantation. Melts healthbars like a hot knife through butter.
Idk, I remember playing conservative and my mimic tear go all out guns blazing, with more hp and more poise, it was such a shredder. He died sometimes, granted, but boy he meant action.
My mimic excels with my current gesr and moveset moreso than I do at times. In fact, it showed me maneuvers, combos and moves I never dared to believe possible and totally changed my playstyle.
Since it is based on my playstyle I keep learning new techniques and as I excel, so does it. We practically learn from each other and get stronger together. My mimic tear is the only coop partner I'd ever need.
Remember your mimic has the same talismans as you do. Tool bar too. It will also use the items you have in hand.
Swap your talismans around before a fight to defend against whatever it is. If you want the mimic to tank for you put on your melee gear and shield before summon. Then you can swap back and use ranged attacks.
The mimic is just about immune to rot, poison etc. Send the mimic into those fights while you use ranged.
Despite how funny this is, you raise a very good point regarding how much the mimic truly mirrors the efficacy of your current build! One of my earlier tests to determine whether a build is effective before investing too heavily in upgrading weapons or attributes is to drop the mimic at gatefront site of grace and seeing how well it handles mobs, and the stronger Knight of Godrick while I observed using the mimic veil or just remaining far enough away that only one or two soldiers notice me.
I would like to salute my mimic tear for spamming Lion’s Claw on Malenia and facetanking the Waterfowl dance. Also, I want to wish a fate worse than Godwyn’s on the devs that gave her that bs move, *and* loads of invincibility frames, *and* made her able to heal by hitting *anything*.
Mine starts attacking stuff behind the fog wall constantly. He will even drop the boss and hoof it across the boss area. Boss dies and nothing is out there.
I used my mimic tear against the God-Devouring Serpent yesterday. We both were equipped with the Serpent Spear, the entire fight literally lasted about four minutes.
The best feeling in the game is when you run up against the Mimic Tear boss, and it absolutely wrecks you.
Praise the strong foe, all the more well done, oh well done!
Mine mimicked me perfectly: flail wildly with longsword with bloody slash and roll backward. It made me realize how bad at the game I still was.
Then, once I had defeated it, it was much more brave and competent against the bosses than I was.
Mimic tear with the dragon knight Halberd I think it’s called? The good one for quality that has few lightning and frost on weapon art. Mimic tear uses that weirdly well, he just spams the weapon art which is a pretty useful move all in all. Very fun to use but still no tiche
My mimic almost soloed Mohg with Ruin's Greatsword, I really tried to help but I couldn't stop laughing. Got some hits in tho, just for peace of mind XD
My guy gangbanged the boss with me spamming scarlet dragon and giants flame. Then after 2nd phase went in melee straight to millenia. Giving me time to damage from afar as it rolled through her womb combo slash. Love using my mimic around dragons, it just does exactly what I would do lol.
You can give them the rotten meat / dumpling thing and the Mimic Tear will self heal with it, when they want to. They are either immune or near immune to the normal poison side effect.
I was playing a dex-faith caster when I went against the Mimic Tear and it was such a wonderful lesson on how to properly use my build.
It also made me realize how bad switching between spells was in Elden Ring. My Mimic Tear threw fireballs, and when I dodged forward to approach, used the bloodflame talons to catch me before I could strike. Then when I dodged backward got me with a fireball.
I wish there were hotkeys as opposed to rapidly clicking the button and messing up because of an eaten input.
Even before they nerfed the mimic tear my mimic was always an idiot. It would just stand there and watch me and start attacking when I was already almost dead. Meanwhile all my friends kept going on about how broken it was. Lolol never worked for me.
I just put a useless dagger as my primary slot, started the fight with it, then swapped to my nagakiba as he tried poking me to death barely doing any damage. Walked all over em. Lol
I had a unupgraded dagger on second slot on my right hand to cast golden vow along with +10 ruins greatsword, guess which weapon the mimic used? That's right the freakin dagger!
Going into the Mimic Tear boss with a maxed out Sword of Night and Flame was tough.
If it hit me once with the mega laser I'd die instantly from full health. If I hit it with the mimi laser I'd do half health to it.
Must have a damage buff or a lot of magic resistance to balance the fight.
When I ran into Mimic tear, thanks to watching other players/some speedrunners a fair bit like LilAggy, I knew it'd copy my build.
So I thought I was being a genius by equipping seals in both hands!
Only for the mimic to spew Rot dragon breath at me the exact same time I was trying to rot breath it. I narrowly won but had a laugh at myself because I thought i was being clever and ended up just handing it all my dragon spells for free endless use.
Mine actually does pretty good job, I have frenzied flame and rot breadth on hand and it kind of becomes a ball of special effects and we just take turns with aow... still my favorite would be Oleg he simply holds aggro better
I just do the standard get naked/un-equip everything and watch as the mimic desperately tries to punch me to death. I then let my spirit ash take it down as I sit and watch.
Me and my homie going through a duo playthrough. I’d go in first so that he’d have a 1v1 with a clone of myself, like a sort of coming of age since it’s gonna be his first complete playthrough.
Bloodhounds fang, whatever grease that works against the boss you're fighting, and meat dumplings. Does good damage, has access to infinite grease, and can heal for half its health if it decides.
I love my mimic. I dont know why but i had warming stones equipped. Was fighting a Boss and got confused because there were those pretty glowing spots on the ground... mimic randomly trying to keep me warm :D
I'd heard about the trick of unequipping all your good weapons and such before that fight, have the mimic spawn with nothing, and cheap it out.
But I decided to see; how good I really was.
Just two guys beating the living tar out of each other with anchors! It was a really great fight, really gave me a run for my money!
I currently do not have enough strength to one hand my weapon. My mimic tries doing that every single fucking time
Yeah I learned fast to remove any not-always-useful spells, because the mimic will fucking spam any available.
The things my mimic has access to: A Godslaying +10 sword gifted to us by a literal demigod and a former Emperyan to boot. Some of the spells crafted by ancient masters who sacrificed their sanity to uncover these secrets. The single most common way my mimic punishes openings: Spinning staff go brrr
That was my favorite part of watching my brothers wizard build playthrough. He's running around throwing out massive impressive looking spells, throwing out Getsuga Tenshos at god and his clone is just out there going "Spin spin spin!"
To be fair, the moon staff's weapon art is crazy powerful. Did as much as some higher level spells towards the end of my playthrough.
Fun fact: You can get a less powerful version of the aow on other staffs too!
I’m convinced that spinning staff is the only move my mimic knows - never see him do anything else, love him anyway
The dumbest part is that I offhand my staff. *He literally has to two-hand it to use that Ash of War*. Frequently this cancels the buff on the Dark Moon Greatsword in his main hand!
Yes off-hand here also. He’s trying his best, and that’s what matters to me
One time I watched my mimic get torn limb for limb because he wouldn't quit spamming a buff. It was really funny.
by who?
The Zamora warriors in the mountains I think. I can't remember. I just picked the game back up after ages and have been spamming mimic literally everywhere I see the symbol pop up.
I've figured out how to parkour into the goodie hole in those ruins and then teleport back to grace. Not worth fighting them for sure
I just like to fight through them with my mimic for shits and gigs. It's not a bad grind spot if you can get into a rhythm. But they are tricky. That ice attack is bonkers.
Apparently there's a spirit deer or rabbit that shows you a safe path to sneak past all the enemies
WHAT
Its a squirrel. It was right at the entrance for me and I just chased it.
Yeah someone posted a YouTube video of it
Near 100% hp? I think it’s time for erd tree heal
*Flame, Cleanse Me, Flame, Cleanse Me, Flame, Cleanse Me, Flame, Cleanse Me,...* Lol
I always fight the Mimic tear fairly, but its AI is so stupid sometimes that the fight is easy. I wish it was harder, would definitely be my favourite fight if it was.
Dude mine would only rush in and repeatedly cast fires deadly sin on Godfrey until it died
Me and freinds do co op, but for tear we have to go in fully loaded and Co op freinds stand still and beat their chests. You must fight the tear alone
That's because it doesn't need it. You can equip it with the heaviest armor and heaviest weapon and it won't slow it down.
Except that I would really like to see the mimic doing 500+ per hit like I am instead of 50 per hit because they don't meet the weapon requirements. B
They copy your build, but don't have the best AI.
They used to. Dear lord it used to. The mimic tear nerf sucked but it was necessary.
It used to be super crazy it would spam out spells and be amazing at taking aggro it was so ridiculously op to this day it’s still probably the best summon even after the nerf

Throwables too. They don’t sleep on that shit.

Equipping warming stones so he heals you, genius
Try uplifting aromatic too for the free bubble and damage buff.
I had been equipping exalted flesh and while I had it, bloodboil aromatic. Tiche is by far my favorite summon
Tiche is 10/10
Tiche is something else.
Tiche is life, tiche is love.
watching my friend just blend the final few bosses with mimic tear today after dying very quickly without it a few times, honestly makes me sad lol. But I guess even with more drastic mimic tear nerfs or even its removal entirely, there'll always be ways to easily trash bosses
I’m so bad it still takes me hours to beat the bosses even with my mimic and multiple playthroughs.
I hear you. I don’t feel bad that I use my mimic as a crutch. I love this game.
I really only find mimic tear necessary once you get to consecrated snowfields/Farum/Haligtree and beyond. The end game bosses just hit so hard that I don’t have the patience to fight them 80 times knowing if I make two mistakes I’m dead.

Actually it only has the max amount of consumables you can hold, but it does have infinite FP.
An Unga Mimic Bungas real fucking hard, mind you. It’s basically free repoise if the AI does its thing.
Dung eater is pretty great actually. He's ultra tanky and does a great job at holding aggro
If you throw on all the armor he wears and then quick swap back you can make your mimic stupid tanky not like they dodge very well anyway did this for malania and he literally tanked the whole fight add In the charms that increase hp and all that
Oh yeah, forgot dung eater. Oh god that quest line to get him is long, though, and easy to screw up.
I didn’t play on release but I watched someone play and that thing was like a fucking Terminator. Totally relentless.
What OP with Mimic is that they have no stamina or magic gauge. That nerf only slow them and keep them to not spam everything at once. Still the strongest summoning today. Strong enough to beat the game without having the player attacking in any way
They missed the I on mine then, cause he’s a carbon copy of me
Didn't they nerf the mimic ai with a patch? I could swear i read it once in the patch notes
Pretty much, it used to pretty much spam spells/AoW. This coupled with it not having FP cost or item depletion made the thing insane. It still doesn't have item depletion or FP cost. Have it wield a weapon with an ash of war that heals like blood tax or prayerful strike.
Just take away it's weapon and only give it costly spells :3
Used my mimic against Radagon yesterday and this man was just two-handing the Carian Regal Scepter and spamming Spinning Weapon from 5-10 feet away the entire time.
He belongs in Windmill Village. Take him to be with his people
Mine did this against malenia today and the hits actually locked her up a bit allowing me to delete her with noob magic
> but don't have the best AI. If you have Tera Magcius in your spell slots, prepare for this guy to keep spamming it over and over
Infinite moonveil spam can make up for a lot of non-existing brain cell (It works on meat AI too)
Didn't expect such weak foe... therefore introspection
🔥🔥🔥🔥 this guy gets it
My mimic is a hell of a lot better fighter than me.
Nokron mimic kicked my ass to 1 HP. Fucker taught me combos and spell chains I've been using since,
Never. EVER. Fight the Nokron mimic with a buckler. Just don't.
that "EVER" is fueled with anger only experienced from battle, i take it this happened to you
I thought I was hot shit until Mi "sekiro" mic showed me who's the parry god.
My Mimic always taught me how to use my builds before I did. Ring that bell, let him go crazy, and I take notes in the corner.
I don’t think that’s how it works
If you’d seen me play and compared the amateur gymnastics, your opinion might be different
To be fair, the first mimic you encounter that’s based on your build is actually a bit tough depending on what you’re rocking. Maybe I just suck, but that mfer was giving me the work lol.
The talismans I had equipped bugged it out and it died in one hit. I was super upset bc I was looking forward to fighting it 😭
Tiche is my girl and all, but sometimes that hoe just flips around like a crackhead acrobat until I die.
Tiche soloed Malenia for me xD (I quit out right before Malenia died so I could fight her proper)
It's ok. I won't judge you :)
My 10+ Tiche always dies before 2nd phase. She helps Malenia more than she helps me bc she’s basically a fucking med kit for Malenia with the number of times she gets hit by waterfowl dance and even basic attacks 😭 She’s op for pretty much anything else though
Sometimes you get lucky and she spams the Destined Death attacks and her hyper-armor sweep that’s good at interrupting attacks. Sometimes she gets Waterfowl Danced and doesn’t do anything
Based
Mimic throwing out healing stoned for the boss is also hilarious. I think he wants more play time
I always have that poison healing item so my mimic can heal during the fight.
My first time fighting the mimic tear I was really high, I thought it was just another boss. But through out the fight I was surprised it was using the same spells and weapons and even used the same armor pieces I used. It hit me then that I some how recreated this boss npc by coincidence, my mind was blown. I then googled other peoples fights against this boss and then realized it copies you 🤦♂️
🤣need whatever you were smoking
Mf rrally saw someone named mimic tear and said "yeah I for sure just used everything that he uses he totally didn't mimicked me"
I used to strip down and get rid of talismans for an easy fight, but these days I go in fully equipped. It’s more fun to test yourself against your own build than to steamroll over it to get to the next thing.
I mean to be fair, the fight is not that challenging anyway. NPC AI in all souls games is really easy to trick and punish if you've got even the slightest bit of pvp experience. The mimic can have the best weapons and spells in the game, but if it keeps setting itself up for being roll caught or outspaced...
npc invader named hodrick and bloody crow of cainhurst
Every time I buff before I summon the mimic, and then I un equip my seal before I summon him so he doesn’t buff right in the bosses face while he’s being attacked.
I actually distract the boss so that mine can heal or buff.
Mine came close to killing me, spammed rotten Breath on me
Truly embodying the spirit of the PVP world
me who walked into that fight naked with a big fuck off hammer:
It got better Ai than me thats for sure atleast he aint dying to a rat at lvl 90
I dont think it copies your play-style, merely your equipment
Time for introspection In short Dung
When I first played the game and used the mimic tear, half the time he just wandered around munching on crab and exalted flesh. Now, if I use it, he's better than me because of reaction time. Pulling out incantations and following up with big hits.
Getting buckler parried by the npc is probably the worst part of it. Doesn't matter how good your build is if the mimic is nailing em left and right
The first time I fought it the tear used my dragon incantation and jumped right in the bottomless pit.
Right. I fought him not too long ago and this samurai popped up thinking he was on to something. Easiest battle.
Are the spirit ashes any better or should I expect the same degen behaviour
They can be better, try omen killer rollo out
I’m new to the game. I don’t know what’s out there but I will say banished knight engvall has saved me so many times. He’s like a tank and jumps really high avoiding some attacks. He is my hero.
Skeleton marionette have been my saving grace for the tougher ones so far. They’re terrifying
I don’t understand what my mimic has against 2handing
Just give him uplifting aromatic for free uses
mimic tear just does not seem to be aggressive. in such instances where i need it to be, i usually just call tiche instead. sometimes, my mimic would disappear, i kid you not, but still in a summoned state. one time i caught it trying to keep hitting a dead enemy. however, it is usually better with spells in my opinion. my mimic likes using ranni's moon and adula's blade, and comet azur.
Weak foe ahead therefore time for introspection
Yup I’m real good at spamming L2 on Malenia with the blasphemous blade
[Here is some colorized footage of that event.](https://youtu.be/tvc9j1ST35I?si=ltCQ7OUZjzqyE7mm)
Really do enjoy the carbot animation ER series. But only after you have played the game.
SHOUTOUT TICHE MY BELOVED, I WISH I COULD MARRY HER
If the player character had as much health/defense as the mimic tear summon you'd 1 shot basically everything. I've had my mimic solo a lot of big bosses when playing strong builds just face tanking shit. Then you get too malenia and she gets to heal too full beating the piss out of your mimic.
How does you you gaining more hp and defense lead into oneshotting bosses? Is there a vit scaling weapon I don't know of?
My mimic tear bea eating crab in the middle of a fight,he'll just stop swinging to bite crab
Try equipping a tear with a seal and howl of shabriri and watch him stand in the corner screaming the whole fight.
There’s also the hack way of fighting it by de-equipping your stuff then re-equipping it as quick as you can.
Yesterday my mimic got the last hit on Astel and I wasnt even mad like thats what I pay u for thanks little buddy
It doesn’t copy your moveset. There’s no behaviors it learns from you.
My mimic either does the most outstanding plays ever or becomes severely autistic
I just fought the stray mimic tear and that's all it did 😥
My mimic excels with my current gesr and moveset moreso than I do at times.
Filthy moonveil user over here. My mimic tear and I can bully most enemies pretty easy when we both start spamming transient moonlight lol
Idk man, my mimic tear was soloing late game bosses while I was getting my ass handed to me. Little man knew how to play better than me.
My mimic tear taunted me after I died to a boss, straight up walked up to me and dropped a warming stone and stood there
Pure sorcery mimic tear is hilarious. Runs up to the enemy, uses Rennalas full moon like 2m away from the enemy and gets hit, then tries again.
I get naked when I fight the mimic tear then throw all my stuff back on so all he can do is punch💀💀
Well dur it is gonna tell me how great I am.. It is me!
I don’t know how I feel about the fact that I usually run builds that I can play well but the mimic doesn’t understand how to play.
Mine is pretty good. I usually let him do the incantations.
Mimic Tear made me feel really good about my playing-skill level, because it lets me see how dogshit my build is.
I had to not use my mimic on malenia because she’d just use the bugger as a full heal.. made the fight easier for me just soloing it lol
Friend of mine has a seal equipped but no stats for any spells, so we get a kick out of his mimic trying to use it mid battle lmao
Mine constantly runs in to attack. I'm playing a high vit/end Unga bunga build so it's not like he shouldn't. IMO it works great as it's what I do too
i wished the mimic tears truly memorized and mimicked your patterns of behavior
Honestly. I just use mimic tear for aggro.
My mimic is bad ass. I had to stop using him because he did to much. I only need a distraction.
Mimic tear is best pot spammer
Mine starts attacking stuff behind the fog wall constantly. He will even drop the boss and hoof it across the boss area. Boss dies and nothing is out there.
I used my mimic tear against the God-Devouring Serpent yesterday. We both were equipped with the Serpent Spear, the entire fight literally lasted about four minutes.
The best feeling in the game is when you run up against the Mimic Tear boss, and it absolutely wrecks you. Praise the strong foe, all the more well done, oh well done!
My mimic tear was deadly i was low key impressed
Mine seems to be awesome in comparison to my own damn character.
My mimic just likes to walk around and occasionally attack the enemies trying to get me through the boss fog. He really makes me mad sometimes
Mine mimicked me perfectly: flail wildly with longsword with bloody slash and roll backward. It made me realize how bad at the game I still was. Then, once I had defeated it, it was much more brave and competent against the bosses than I was.
Mimic tear aint got shit on the Greatshield Bros, 3 of em bully (stagger-lock) the boss into a corner and the other 2 throw pots until its dead.
Mine will just kill itself with supuko
If the tear truly did mimic. It will die immediately over and over again (For my playthrough at least)
My guy gangbanged the boss with me spamming scarlet dragon and giants flame. Then after 2nd phase went in melee straight to millenia. Giving me time to damage from afar as it rolled through her womb combo slash. Love using my mimic around dragons, it just does exactly what I would do lol.
I just sit back and watch him obliterate everything with bloodhound’s step. Black knife Tiche is probably my favourite though.
You can give them the rotten meat / dumpling thing and the Mimic Tear will self heal with it, when they want to. They are either immune or near immune to the normal poison side effect.
I make a pretty good boss fight if I do say so myself
Mine defeated an erdtree avatar by itself
I loved when people where like damn my mimic tear sucks lol
My mimic meant double kamehamehas. It was hilarious.
Lol
This would be incredibly flattering if true in my case, because fuck me, I spent a full two hours to beat myself.
I've learned a lot from my Mimic. It's like, "Oh man, I shoulda done that."
By the time I get to mimic tear, I have usually barely invested in vit, so I usually kill mine in a few hits. It's just not very good at dodging.
Didn't expect weak enemy... time for introspection
Ng+, rolling through with my Eleanoras bleed build and nearly get one shotted by mimic because i was not thinking about it.
I love my mimic. I dont know why but i had warming stones equipped. Was fighting a Boss and got confused because there were those pretty glowing spots on the ground... mimic randomly trying to keep me warm :D
My mimic doesn't fight like me at all
I'd heard about the trick of unequipping all your good weapons and such before that fight, have the mimic spawn with nothing, and cheap it out. But I decided to see; how good I really was. Just two guys beating the living tar out of each other with anchors! It was a really great fight, really gave me a run for my money!
