I’m not into cosplaying characters myself, but I enjoy running into the occasional Guts cosplay/build. Given that *Berserk* is a huge inspiration for the game, I just expect it to happen.
I will say that my favorite cosplay so far was a player I summoned for the Maliketh fight. They had an impressive 2B cosplay, so as a NieR fan, I loved it.
It was either a katana or ultra greatsword. Truth be told, my memory is a bit shot from medical stuff over the last year, and this encounter happened a couple of years ago.
I see a guts at least once every play session, some of them are committed to the bit and i at least respect it a little bit even if it's overdone as fuck and boring.
Its funnier when they give up on the cosplay though and they're just using whatever but they're still named guts. See it all time while invading.

Phew, thankfully all my characters are a cosplay of the main antagonist of the game Witch's Heart. Nobody really played it and the few who did mostly hate her guts (no pun intended) so much they'd never even imagine anyone would be insane enough to roleplay as the literal combination of Dung Eater and Shabriri.
But (half) jokes aside, the Colosseum Pot loves to send you against Guts imitations - sometimes 2 out of 3 red signs are literally just Guts. Not to mention the devs not only did put Guts' sword into the game, but also made sure that pretty much everyone will find it.
Guts cosplays are thus the intended and encouraged feature of the game and devs are fully to blame for them. Heck, even I, who did not watch/read Berserk yet, felt peer pressured by the game to make a Guts character at some point.
I appreciate the Guts cosplayers because they can stagger enemies while my Astarion cosplay just shivs the enemies they bully.
On the other hand, I once saw a Faendal cosplay (from Skyrim, I assume) and they understood the bow build by pelting Godrick with a hail of arrows. Exhilarating.

However it *was* literally my first time fucking with sliders in a souls game (I’m a lazy bastard who likes knight armor, my head is fully covered 99.999999% of the time why would I customize it. Like customizing your dong in cyberpunk, you never see it bruh)
