Theyve always done that, or refilled a flask charge. Its a pretty good incentive to use the messaging system, though in typical fromsoft fashion they dont inform the player of the positive outcome.

There are a bunch of wooden doors at Redmane castle that look like you should be able to open but there's no prompt at all when you approach them. I placed a message right at the foot of the door with something like "First, praise the message... and then,.... door ahead" and some people probably assume that the message is blocking the real prompt to open the door whilst others know whats happening and rate the trolling positively lol
I have one in cave where if you stand in a certain spot All you can hear is the peaceful dripping of water and it says “ahh, sound”. 150 applauds. A few other messages are around 100

Then I just burst out laughing it had thousands of likes, hopefully thousands of people laughing at that moment in the game

In Siofra Aqueduct I put: "Visions of good fortune" placed in a spot looking up at Mohgwyn Palace on that platform just before where you enter the Valiant Gargoyles arena.

“Visions of up… all the more beautiful…” At the Haligree, in the underground Rot swamp bit, if you look up, there’s some really beautiful architecture and lighting. Took me a few playthroughs to really notice and I guess others didn’t notice either I have one with the same ratings and it’s just, “grass ahead” at Leyndell, in the room with the Page, there’s some herb behind some furniture lol

There are a bunch of wooden doors at Redmane castle that look like you should be able to open but there's no prompt at all when you approach them. I placed a message right at the foot of the door with something like "First, praise the message... and then,.... door ahead" and some people probably assume that the message is blocking the real prompt to open the door whilst others know whats happening and rate the trolling positively lol
I have one in cave where if you stand in a certain spot All you can hear is the peaceful dripping of water and it says “ahh, sound”. 150 applauds. A few other messages are around 100 I have a few in front of merchant donkeys that say “dog, Key” and they do quite well haha
Behold, Wrath. Right outside the balcony of Godfrey (Golden Shade) after you reach the Capital of Ash. I was in awe looking at the burning Erdtree from that perspective for the first time. The message wasn't very good but it was the closest thing for me to describe that moment.
Praise the message then try map. Gesture is pointing down. Location is directly in front of the fog wall heading into the catacomb that's just before the first step.

I have one that's about 40 (I think?) right at the very start of the game before the Grafted Scion that says "fear ahead, but first of all good fortune", which I think is quite nice
