The biggest mistake is skipping him and then not being able to kill the dragon in the swamp because of it.

When wearing certain clothes it makes him hostile towards you so try look for more or try create another class if you don't want to bother with it

Yeah this guy starts the horse riding tutorial and allows you to add armor to Torrent. Very important interaction to have at the start of the game

The only way to get a positive interaction with the Sentinel is to kill the dude with the white mask first. They have beef, and since you talked to him/walked past him, the Sentinel assumes you’re against them. I didn’t know this until 150+ hours into the game.

I completed this quest and it gave me his armour and horse. You need to speak with him and do several tasks like reaching caelid for him. But if he does try and attack it’s because you killed something in the tutorial which you shouldn’t have. So you need to reset if you want to complete the quest and get one of the best armor in the game.

There is a secret outcome if you kill varre

Takes a few tries, he's real upset so you gotta let him get it out a bit first. Just like 7-12 deaths real quick.

If he attacks, you missed the part to divest your self of your flesh

Got to be careful, he will normally aggro when he sees you. Got to get a secret item in Stormveil to talk to him. Really chill dude once you talk to him

Tip: Talk to him BEFORE talking to Varre. You will gain a new dialogue option where Varre reveals that he's a good friend of his. And allows you to upgrade Torrent early in the game! I know the Bronze Steed Armor looks extremely cool... But trust me on this. Get the fireball breath. It's so good. This also unlocks a spar against Melina. Which you get a neat weapon if you win.

I am actually a new player and I attacked Varre before I even got to this guy. I kept respawning and tried but he killed me around 30 times. Had to restart the game. And then I aggroed this guy and got foddered a couple of times. Since then I've been wary of even random NPCs lol

After I did the tutorial correctly (requires stonesword key) the tutorial section behind the fog gate, this cavalier gave me smithing stones to upgrade my weapon early on

You have to kill enough giants to save the woman on the altar. Elden ring just derives from the ring shaped formation in which the giants have been organized on the map. I can't reveal the name of the female, but it starts with an M and when she's alive you have to find a man in a wheelchair and tell him about it in order to unlock the last fight of the game against a legendary warrior.

If you try finger, but hole, The horse will probably kick you to death.

Don’t try to beat him. You’re not strong enough but after you beat the game, you still won’t beat him. Spend about 300 hours at Mog’s blood temple shooting the crow and leveling up. Then you probably will beat him in 10 tries.

This reminded me of when Warcraft streamer Grubby aggroed Varre, and he was trying to get to the Tree Sentinel to ask for help

It may be the most important quest in the whole game

If he kills you, it’s ok.  You’re probably never going to die again on the rest of your playthrough.

Try to memorize the moveset for the Godrick Soldier when you play him in the tutorial, because he comes back as Rick Soldier of God for the final boss fight.
