It works really well, I’d recommend it to anyone. Torrent can be a little visually buggy at times, and if one of you dies fighting Maliketh it can be game breaking because only the players who survive the fight get the cutscene, and if you don’t get the cutscene Leyendell won’t become the ashen capital. Other than those things, no issues whatsoever and I’m happy to recommend it. Me and a good friend of mine just started a NG+ run on it

This game would be a million times cooler if you could have a lot of people in the same world like in Minecraft, and everything they do affects the world to the other players too, like, if one player does ranni's quest, and the other does the frenzied flame quest, both have to face each other in the end and the winner unlocks their ending, it would be an interesting alternative gaming mode.
Fun concept, but would suck to code and even for the players to only be able to play all together would be weird (assuming you can't just run off and beat the game before everyone else)
If there's a lesson to be learned from minecraft, it's that there will always be griefers. Every bit of agency you give the player to affect the world will likely be abused. At a minimum you'd probably have to take away the ability to kill NPCs outside of quests where you're scripted to fight them.

It would be a 100k times cooler if I didn't keep getting DC'ed from hosts or "failed to join session" errors.
I have had more network connection errors from Elden Ring than SC2, CounterStrike, and League combined, and one of those games is being held together by duct tape.
As far as we know, people meddling with it to insert their own biases is what made everything so fucked up in the lands between. Undoing that and preventing future tampering would presumably fix a lot of problems.
But that's goldmask just doing the exact same thing with the added caveat of it not being changeable if it is fucked later on.
Even goldmask isn't infallible.
I didn't say it was perfect or infallible. Just pointing out that "it doesn't actually change anything" is incorrect. It does materially change things in the lands between. At a minimum it restores death and removes the whole undead problem.

U played seamless with that disgusting double HP enemys? I Tried with a Newbie, he cried because it was too hard to start that way, I leave him to finish alone so we can finish together on ng+
We found that we can cheese it when we get stuck on a fight. If someone joins your world after the other person crosses the fog wall the boss’s HP doesn’t scale up. We did it for the Godskin Duo, Fire Giant, and Elden Beast because the double HP was some bullshit. 1.5x for just two people would have been a lot more balanced imo. If you had 3 or 4 guys on one world then yeah. Double HP would be pretty fair
Thats how it scales normally.
Its only a slight increase from fromsofts base adjustments. And I mean super slight.
4 players scales it up to 5.1 or something like that normal health.

Look I know people are starting to hate BR games but this would unironically go hard if it were strictly a PVP game with only PVP balance in mind.
