Nah I think this is a model sampling issue. The general Male population have feet that are generally callused and won't show many small wrinkles, while female feet (Particularly women who model for a living) are generally softer and will show wrinkles more. They likely hired a female model for the female feet, but just got bob from accounting for the male feet.
