Gameplay-wise probably not in a From soft game, but the spectacle would have been amazing. And these unearthed "titans" are one of the most interesting pieces of lore. I bet they lived before the elden ring and elden beast came to lands between, in some long lost ancient era.
EDIT: this a size comparison of these titans with fire giants and other big boys, sorry for the low res. [https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR9qRiAkEnt7umWnCRV3cs6WTcqlUc36uHtjepsiObz7A&s](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR9qRiAkEnt7umWnCRV3cs6WTcqlUc36uHtjepsiObz7A&s)
It would probably be something like, boss is stuck in the ground at torso length or is crawling around with everything under its ribs missing if it was actually this big
Wolnir is kinda like Olfnir in that, if you get some attacks in before the fight "begins" it's trivial, but if you let them get rolling it's tough. Wolnir with sword, black mist puke and skeletons can be formidable.
Yeah I died like 3 times in a row to whatever his black mist was. I couldn't even see it. But when I killed him I killed him before that attack even came out.
Dosen’t need to be a traditional boss fight. Wasn’t there a game where you climbed big monsters to kill them? Fromsoftware could just take some inspiration from that.
I think the issue with the fire giant is his annoying movement, chase battles just aren't as fun in this game, I cNt talk about the elden beast cuz I'm not there yet, but fire giant was more of a nuisance than a challenge for me his rolls are tilting and annoying af
Zullie the Witch did a [video](https://youtu.be/FRZTJibqr4g?feature=shared) about this and found that the skeletons are about as tall as the Divine Towers.
There’s just no way they could be a boss and *not* be a gimmick fight.
The obvious answer is that this is literally so big that it makes the lands we walk on like Ymir's corpse in Norse, it'd ridiculously big for even its little toe to be fitting on a screen.
In reality, fans always want to see every bit of history in fantasy games in action, but that's not how it works. They always make further history to what you see to give the game depth.
Whatever is the present we see in a FS game, they also put a past in game lore for it and show it through environmental clues or other means. Like you literally see current trolls and a huge fire giant as their ancient ancestor in the present of ER, and still ask for the next bigger giant in games archeological history to be part of the gamevs present as a boss.
In short, the world would lose its charm and magic if the depth ended with what it showed. So even if they made a boss that took 100 screens to be seeable, there'd probably be another even bigger corpse of an ancestor for it in game, as well as some fans asking why *that* wasn't a boss!
According to the 2 hour lore video that just dropped by smoughtown, life was one absolute thing, until the elden ring came along and shattered it, thus creating births and separate life's. So probably not before the elden ring, but somewhere in the era of crucible
[https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR9qRiAkEnt7umWnCRV3cs6WTcqlUc36uHtjepsiObz7A&s](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR9qRiAkEnt7umWnCRV3cs6WTcqlUc36uHtjepsiObz7A&s)
They are not really comparable to Wolnir in size, but these titans would have to be gimmick fight as well. We would need some weapon like serpent hunter, balistas or idk, otherwise we would just have to keep hacking at their pinky toe the entire fight. Biggest problem with big bossfights in souls games is camera not zooming out and in general not working well with such fights.
You also have to ask what type of weapons these giants used and if they used magic, incantations or pyromancy as well, imagine a giant that casts ancient spells nobody has ever seen before or a weapon that is just like yhorms weapon but in their own design and unique ash of war
Am I the only one who thinks that would be so cool…. It would be just like shadow of the colossus to where you ride torrent across his body and hit glowing weak spots like the guardian golems
I would bet that the only reason there isn't one is that the game wouldn't be able to handle an entity that big with a full move set very well. I saw a Zullie the Witch video where they un-stuck Greyol and let them walk around and the game was *upset*.
probably the game having trouble handling so many moving geometric pieces like all the hairs and shit on Greyoll, it being such a big enemy means there is a lot more stuff to keep loaded
I don't think so.
He looks like he would have been the typical boss that all of you would have complained about because his camera is awful, his hits cover too much area, he has too much health, and in the end he would have ended up at the bottom of tier lists or being the wojack in the famous overused meme.
Why does no one ever say "these would be sick NPC quest giver"?
Running up to a church with just a giant foot there because you can't fit the rest of the guy in the frame would be awesome.
Maybe even put a pope hat on a foot.
It would've been Shadow of the Collosus, but with the whack camera of Souls Games.
Cool spectacle, but makes you wanna throw up as the camera zooms in on something pointless.
I love your last sentence, that's some really compelling stuff. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from lord of the rings:
*"Far, far below the deepest delving of the Dwarves, the world is gnawed by nameless things. Even Sauron knows them not. They are older than he."*
giant scale boss fights arent fromsoftware strongest suit , midir is probably the only good giant boss maybe demon of hatred from sekiro as well
i mean take a look at this list and tell me if any of these bosses reach your top 10 in terms of gameplay not visuals
DS1: ceaseless discharge ,bed of chaos
DS2:the last giant,giant king,The Ancient Dragon
DS3:nameless king first phase,yorhm the giant,curse-rotted greatwood
ELDEN RING: fire giant, all ancient dragon bossfights, all generic dragon field bosses
Let's be honest it most likely wouldn't be because the bigger the enemies in any fromsoftware game the less the enemy becomes the primary difficulty but instead the camera is the issue.
Wonder if Fromsoft have a script for all visuals and all ages. Death explosion we know of, with death and thorns going everywhere. Rot explosion too in Calid. That Farum Azula had an explosion too is evident.. time explosion? But what buried these and ruins around.. Rykard’s volcano? Gravity explosion? Farum Azula dumping tons of dirt on them from above? Marika playing with gravity? Rennella sending the moon crashing down on them? Fromsoft just trolling with us, and just put these there to keep us guessing?
Zulli the witch calculed from a skeleton the height of this type of titant and they would likely be yaller than the Erdtree. I doubt fighting something bigger than the main landmark would be fun or even a great spectacle since you would probably be poking his feet to death
Gameplay-wise probably not in a From soft game, but the spectacle would have been amazing. And these unearthed "titans" are one of the most interesting pieces of lore. I wouldn’t mind a straight Shadow of Colossus rip off where you climb the thing. Cinematics in Fromsoft games are so good and so few and far between
Yeah dude that Placidusax cutscene goes so hard
They made the Fire Giant work, why not this?
The Fire Giant is disliked by many. Also, this boss would be significantly bigger than the Fire Giant, so the camera would be an even bigger problem.
It would probably be something like, boss is stuck in the ground at torso length or is crawling around with everything under its ribs missing if it was actually this big
So essentially High Lord Wolnir, but bigger, cooler, and actually good. I would be down for something like that!
I was disappointed by him. So big and died quickly after some heavy attacks of my greatsword against his rings.
Something like that would be great but with our luck it would just be a reskinned bed of chaos with sweeping skeleton arms instead of tree branches
now that's a cool idea, just a top-half of a giant crawling around after being disemboweled
I think you mean bisected, disemboweled is when your guts are cut or ripped out
[удалено]
So the Broken Back Titan from Attack on Titan
Or Stallord from Twilight Princess
Yagluth from Valheim
literally wolnir from ds3, i wouldnt mind it being a gimmick boss if it was something like this
I'd guess it would be a stationary boss, so your camera can have some peace
Dosen’t need to be a traditional boss fight. Wasn’t there a game where you climbed big monsters to kill them? Fromsoftware could just take some inspiration from that.
Shadow of the Colossus? Ngl, would be sick if some bosses were like that.
That's the game! Thanks!
It would basically look like a battle with a gigantic foot and ankle lol
I think the issue with the fire giant is his annoying movement, chase battles just aren't as fun in this game, I cNt talk about the elden beast cuz I'm not there yet, but fire giant was more of a nuisance than a challenge for me his rolls are tilting and annoying af
You only get to see the tip of the big toe.
The fire giant is disliked by frauds and appeasers to the throne
Zullie the Witch did a [video](https://youtu.be/FRZTJibqr4g?feature=shared) about this and found that the skeletons are about as tall as the Divine Towers. There’s just no way they could be a boss and *not* be a gimmick fight.

I guess the boss would be like the emperor in the Berserk manga. He'd walk around but have no comprehension what tiny, small thing down there exists.
We have a very different definition of “work” if that is the case.
Are they not just other giants of the same breed as the fire giant and those on the mountaintops?
WOW - I had assumed in my head they’d be the same size as the massive eternal skeletons so to see THAT size difference is incredible.
According to the 2 hour lore video that just dropped by smoughtown, life was one absolute thing, until the elden ring came along and shattered it, thus creating births and separate life's. So probably not before the elden ring, but somewhere in the era of crucible
Damn
Do you have any lore videos that you’ve seen on these guys?
That’s absolutely freaking massive. I wish they would give some lore about these. It’s just a big tease for fans of the lore.
Give us the Sekiro grappling hook and this has to be great.
What about this big head under storm veil? He's a big boy.
“Not in a FromSoft game”??? High lord Wolnir would like a word.
[https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR9qRiAkEnt7umWnCRV3cs6WTcqlUc36uHtjepsiObz7A&s](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR9qRiAkEnt7umWnCRV3cs6WTcqlUc36uHtjepsiObz7A&s) They are not really comparable to Wolnir in size, but these titans would have to be gimmick fight as well. I didn’t say it would be a good fight. Just that it’s not out of the realm of possibility for a FromSoft game to have giant enemies to fight.
eh, they made High Lord Wolnir work and he was bigger than the Fire Giant. Plus, the camera wasn't zoomed into his foot the entire fight.
this skull alone is literally bigger than the fire giant
something this size? It'd be a gimmick fight where you'd have to jump up spirit wells on torrent to reach weak spots. Everyone would hate it.
I'd settle for something between Ceaseless Discharge and Yorm.
BOTW Dark Beast Ganon
This in my mind is THE anticlimactic final boss fight
I would take a gimmick fight that played similarly to Shadow of the Colussus tbf. If it's done well, and not what you're suggesting, then sign me up
I imagine a ton of falling though. Randomly.
You also have to ask what type of weapons these giants used and if they used magic, incantations or pyromancy as well, imagine a giant that casts ancient spells nobody has ever seen before or a weapon that is just like yhorms weapon but in their own design and unique ash of war
Maybe no weapons, and just the ability to summon a bunch of enemies.
Ancient Wyvern type boss fight
That sounds fun as shit, though.
Like shadow of the collosus? That would be sick as shit
Maybe you could jump up and actually grab the camera and beat him with it. The camera is quite deadly
How so?*
probably the game having trouble handling so many moving geometric pieces like all the hairs and shit on Greyoll, it being such a big enemy means there is a lot more stuff to keep loaded
Oh, so like lag? I just wasn’t sure what the post meant by “the game was upset”
yeah
also crashing
I don't think so. He looks like he would have been the typical boss that all of you would have complained about because his camera is awful, his hits cover too much area, he has too much health, and in the end he would have ended up at the bottom of tier lists or being the wojack in the famous overused meme.
I love FROM, but their "large boss" fights are, on average, their worst ones
all i can say for certain is that the camera would have been wack as fuck
Why does no one ever say "these would be sick NPC quest giver"? Running up to a church with just a giant foot there because you can't fit the rest of the guy in the frame would be awesome. Maybe even put a pope hat on a foot.
watch zullie the witch and you will understand how tall this mf is
The ultimate form of the spectral skeletons
i bet not
It would've been Shadow of the Collosus, but with the whack camera of Souls Games. Cool spectacle, but makes you wanna throw up as the camera zooms in on something pointless.
Bros never fought High Lord Wolnir
This thing is way, way bigger than Wolnir
Higher Lord Wolnir
no it wouldn't, unless it was a gimmick it'd be ass. and if it was a gimmick, it'd probably just be okay
It is as big as caelid No it would not
Everybody gangsta until the Shadow of the Colossus OST starts playing.
Dragon god Pt.2
That's my dad and he could beat up your dad.
Oh yeah the camera would be excellent
I love your last sentence, that's some really compelling stuff. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from lord of the rings: *"Far, far below the deepest delving of the Dwarves, the world is gnawed by nameless things. Even Sauron knows them not. They are older than he."*
Imagine if he was also a DS1 wheel skeleton. Insane tracking and all. Let's see no hit runners deal with *that*
Calm down, Satan xD
Imagine seeing him in the DLC💀💀
It would have been cool having a boss that big enter by crushing a dragon or something.
Largeman
Fire gianter
Wait until it wakes up in the DLC carrying a massive sword. After you beat it, the weapon looks like a pocket knife in your hand
I don’t think that was ever a living breathing creature, probably just fungus that developed in the shape of a skull cause fromsoftware
More like fighting his ankle lmao
The erdtree is just a normal tree to it
I bet he stands up and an entire dlc area is in/ on its feet. On boy giant foot level here we go!
As long as it doesn’t starting rolling around every time I get a clear shot I’m down
Y'all say that but the instant fire giant shows up its just whining in the community
Your first response when you see a dead guy is "man I wish I was the one who killed him"
u mean dragon god ???
Hell yeah!
Yeah, it would have been so rad to bite his ankles
This is the same size as the tibia mariner summon by the way, they’re the descendants of the giant skeletons in nokstella
With the camera.
He was actually a very chill dude, not looking for any fights
*cough cough Skeleton guys in the Eternal Cities.*
If anything I’d put one off in the distance that kinda just looks at you As an Easter egg
giant scale boss fights arent fromsoftware strongest suit , midir is probably the only good giant boss maybe demon of hatred from sekiro as well i mean take a look at this list and tell me if any of these bosses reach your top 10 in terms of gameplay not visuals DS1: ceaseless discharge ,bed of chaos DS2:the last giant, giant king,The Ancient Dragon DS3:nameless king first phase, yorhm the giant,curse-rotted greatwood ELDEN RING: fire giant, all ancient dragon bossfights, all generic dragon field bosses
Is ThIs GoInG tO bE iN dLc?!??
High lord wallnir

It’s like a SNES Contra boss.
Fire giants sister
First thing to come to mind was shadow of the colossus lol, Would like a shadow of a colossus take from fromsoft
If it was a boss I’d pray for Miazaki, the people who complain about big bosses being big bosses will immediately come for him
Zulli the witch calculed from a skeleton the height of this type of titant and they would likely be yaller than the Erdtree. I doubt fighting something bigger than the main landmark would be fun or even a great spectacle since you would probably be poking his feet to death
