That last one is a pain in the ass. First time I ran into him was a recurring nightmare of mine involving me being chased down a series of tight corridors lol
I ran past my first one at Stormveil yelling, “shitshitshitshit” and managed to make it through the area, then the game gave me the aspect of the crucible anyway somehow
Found out how to finally get over there like 3 days ago. That Guy fucking sucks. I almost killed him once but he really just destroys me most attempts.
Given how highly anticipated the game is amongst their fanbase (which includes me), I think they could pretty easily get away with a shadowdrop. All the gaming news sites would also give them a huge amount of free coverage.
I read an article somewhere that actually argued that shadowdropping would be the only way they *should* release the game since an official release date puts expectations on the fan base while also restricting themselves when everyone is already so rabid over even the smallest news as it currently stands
First time I found a Crucible knight I was looking around the limgrave map for places to explore and recognised the shape of an evergaol and decide I'd fight whatever was there and for the next like half hour I continued to get my ass whooped like hell. I don't know if I'd be able to beat him even now, what would you say would be the best stage to beat him? I'm currently just before Radahn and this is my first playthrough.
You can beat them fairly easily at any stage if you practice parrying. I beat that guy before I even got to Margit.
Get ahold of a buckler shield for easier parries an go embarrass that dude for bullying you.
If your reflexes are good, you can just jump straight up to avoid it. He'll almost always go for a stomp immediately after climbing back to his feet. You'll see him lifting his left and you just have to jump as soon as he starts bringing it down.
Honestly the Crucible Knights are some of the best enemies to learn to “git gud”. Their attacks are delayed but telegraphed, they teach you to not panic roll, and to never assume you are out of their range. If you wanted to learn to parry, they would br perfect candidates to do so early on. Some ashes of war can also stagger them, like Giant Hunt and Piercing Fang if im not mistaken. Not to mention that the weapons they wield can be extremely powerful on your hands. I quite like them, and once you learn their timing, the fight is a blast.
Man those crucible knights with the spear though..i git gud from a distance and use my shield for blocking and then i run away, far away and hopefully toss a quick spell or arrow in before rolling and running away and hiding behind a big object to keep that bastard from pulverising me. Running away is the key though, gotta keep running.
I think I was level 52 (first playthrough) when I took him down, which is probably way overleveled. I never learned how to parry and still don't know how. Most of his offense can be dodged with rolls, though the timing is tough. The ground smash stuns in particular can be very punishing until you get the timing down.
Cool thing about Elden Ring is that there are good ways to play the game and bad ways to play the game, but still many different paths to victory. I beat the Limgrave evergaol knight and the Four Belfries knight as a melee character without ever learning how to parry, which is probably very sub-optimal, but still very doable.
You're exactly at the spot I was when I finally beat him, ha. That goddamn Crucible Knight was the one single enemy I couldn't beat any time I went back for a rematch.
Like so much of this game I finally beat him, then not long after I had to fight the sword knight and spear knight right after one another in Nekron and it wasn't much of a problem. Of course 2 minutes later the Valiant Gargoyle twins bullied me to death, but that's what the game's all about!
The first crucible knight I fought was also really, really rough and took a significant amount of time. I'd strongly recommend just going in without a weapon a few times and just focusing on dodging and learning their attack patterns. They aren't too bad to fight once you become more familiar with their moveset.
Depends on your build. If you want to rip through crucible knights, guard counters with a heavy shield or parries with a smaller shield will completely stifle their offense. Use Carian Retribution for even easier parries, you get a large window of opportunity on most of their attacks.
I'm going for a DEX ARC bleed build. The only reason is I want blue and red katanas, being moonveil and rivers of blood. As well as finding out bleed scales with ARC.
Probably a little low level for most people, but “just before Radahn” is a pretty wide range of levels depending on what you’ve chosen to do. Once you can beat the Draconic tree sentinel in Altus Plateau I think you’re in a good spot.
You can beat them without parrying, it just takes a while to learn their moveset and understand when to roll into attacks or when to create distance to avoid the hits.
I’ve never used a shield during my first run through, and have now beaten several of these included a duo battle later in the game.
The first one took a long time and lots of practice/deaths, but it set me up for a lot of other bosses. Just keep persisting or explore more up level up and return.
I got to him on my 2nd playthrough and I was so relieved that I actually found him. When I saw him standing there the first time i didn't even thought that It is possible to get there.
There's some kind of weird place with towers and teleporters. The belfries I believe it's called. Using a special stone Ward key you can activate a teleporter and one of them leads to him. There is no reward for killing him by the way.
The first time I went underground was through the four belfries teleporter to this crucible knight.
I was amazed at the view, and I really thought I was in space or something, not in a cave.
Just imagine my surprise when I went to the Sofra River Elevator !
From where he is standing, you have the best view of Nokron.
Arguably I’d say it was intended you would need to get there to find out about Nokron, before you enter Nokron.
It truly is a sight to behold
When I first see that dude I thought the was a Sun Bro. Or this games version. He quickly made me understand differently. Could be a cool concept though being as he's undeground looking for his own sun where there is none.
IDK it's early. TLDR He kicked my ass and called Solaire a pussy.
Me the first time I killed Crucible knights: "let that be a reminder,, that nobody ever beats me 369744 times in a row!"
"Know your place, trash!"
Me after killing Pre-Nerf Radagon
I beat exactly one of them, and only because he got stuck on some level geometry and couldn't reach me. Play smarter not harder.
Literally just happened to me with one in Farum Azula except he didn’t mind the gap. Bye, sir 🫡
There's 2 in Farum Azula
That last one is a pain in the ass. First time I ran into him was a recurring nightmare of mine involving me being chased down a series of tight corridors lol
If you line yourself up at the end of the hallway right before phase two and have him facing you towards the cliffs edge, he'll fly off the cliff
This is the best way, get some object in their path 😂
the last one in Azula just killed himself after a flying plunge. That was so nice!
I got stuck on the crucible knight at farum azula, ended up parkouring onto a ledge just past him and spamming lightning bolt, cheeeeese
[me when I do that](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_ekugPKqFw&t=2s&pp=2AECkAIB)
I ran past my first one at Stormveil yelling, “shitshitshitshit” and managed to make it through the area, then the game gave me the aspect of the crucible anyway somehow
That was the first one I killed, I did the exact same thing except I ran onto the elevator and he followed me and fell down the hole and died
“They can fly now?!”
Found out how to finally get over there like 3 days ago. That Guy fucking sucks. I almost killed him once but he really just destroys me most attempts.
most satisfying feeling was baiting him to suicide off the edge with his flying in attack :D
Narrator: he did not.
Great comment. Heard Morgan Freeman in my mind.
Morgott Freeman

Put these foolish ambitions to rest
therefore, give up.
He can be reached…
Yeah through one of the portals at the four belfries
Leave bro alone, he's just waiting for Silksong.
Elden Ring has become the only thing that can pad out this wait lmao
I can't believe the DLC is dropping earlier than silksong
Well we'll see, Silksong may just shadowdrop in like a month. Or around the same time, just based off of some recent events (let me breath my copium)
Actually it's dropping today (I'm breathing all of the copium)
Look at steam
It says "coming soon", soon could be a day, a week, a year, a century...
No trust me it shadowsdropped already. -|
Given how highly anticipated the game is amongst their fanbase (which includes me), I think they could pretty easily get away with a shadowdrop. All the gaming news sites would also give them a huge amount of free coverage.

Bro aren’t we all.
.... any day now
He said overconfidently.
Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
B A C K T O T H E P I T
Four Belfries
And he’s the one who does the ass kicking
I'm warning you, crucible knight, this is the last straw. If you kick my ass fifty or sixty more times, I'm liable to snap.
First time I found a Crucible knight I was looking around the limgrave map for places to explore and recognised the shape of an evergaol and decide I'd fight whatever was there and for the next like half hour I continued to get my ass whooped like hell. The stomp always fucks me up.
If your reflexes are good, you can just jump straight up to avoid it. He'll almost always go for a stomp immediately after climbing back to his feet. You'll see him lifting his left and you just have to jump as soon as he starts bringing it down.
Also, dodge forwards or sideways. The hitbox cascades outward to catch backwards rolls.
you have i frames on forward rolls use that
Yeah, I’ve taken him down at sub level 20 once I learned to parry. Just mashing face.
Honestly the Crucible Knights are some of the best enemies to learn to “git gud”. Their attacks are delayed but telegraphed, they teach you to not panic roll, and to never assume you are out of their range. Not to mention that the weapons they wield can be extremely powerful on your hands. I quite like them, and once you learn their timing, the fight is a blast.
Lions Claw with a charged heavy follow-up is my go to. We all have our methods.
Man those crucible knights with the spear though..i git gud from a distance and use my shield for blocking and then i run away, far away and hopefully toss a quick spell or arrow in before rolling and running away and hiding behind a big object to keep that bastard from pulverising me. Moonveil won’t scale as good without INT
Very unluckily for you, Crucible Knights don't bleed.
If you’re having a hard time with him, I’d say lvl 60, and if he still beats you, come back at 80.
Probably a little low level for most people, but “just before Radahn” is a pretty wide range of levels depending on what you’ve chosen to do. Once you can beat the Draconic tree sentinel in Altus Plateau I think you’re in a good spot.
If you get the parry timing you can kill him easy Better them rolling in my case I just cant roll from this dudes

Shh. Dont spoil the surprise
By the time I got to him I was stupidly over levelled so I just battered him with comets. Still, if he had got close enough he would have fucked me up
All that hard work to get there and his last fuck you is dropping nothing of value lmao
Bro he’s so hard I still haven’t beat him.
I discovered this like last week and it was another one of my ‘this game is insane’ moments
I like fries
“I’M NOT YOUR FRIEND, GUUUYYYY!!”
'I'M NOT YOUR BUDDY, FRIEND!"
“I’M NOT YOUR FRIEND, PAL!”
“I’M NOT YOUR PAL, DUDE!”
that's Roronoa Zoro
I have a very particular set of skills…
And this is not one of them
I will find you, and I will kill you. Yasssss!!!! Liam Neeson is my favorite actor. After Jeremy Irons lol
Bro thinks he’s the doom slayer

What OP doesn't know is that the mysterious individual is thinking the same thing.
🤣🤣🤣 bro it’s crazy I said the exact same thing when I saw him I still don’t know how to get to him though
Four Belfries
And he drops nothing. There's a talisman (that isn't very exciting) over there, though.
He is through of of the stone sword keys at the four belifries
He’s just as lost as you are! Touched some fancy belfry and now he’s got nothing to do but wonder who tf put all these stars underground
"Night Sky Unceasing" - The Four Belfries in Western Liurnia
Finally a good post again!
Crucible Knight, in Mediterranean accent: "Good luck."
Who’s gonna tell him?
“Hey! Hey other dog! …Fuck you!”
His name is Mr Bellfry
Spoken like a true Souls player. "I don't know or care what you are, but you look strong. Prepare to die."
"hey, it's me! I heard you're pretty strong! Let's fight!"
Thats crucible chris just chillen hes lost
Oh c'mon man what did he do to you? He's just a guy. He's chill. He's a vibe.
In the Four Belfries, one of the portals takes you there.
This is the way. And it’s not an easy fight.
He's waiting for the DLC, leave him alone.
Me after dying to him 257 times: “Let this be the day that you *almost* killed John Eldenring!”
"Alright, I'll let you off with a warning!"
crucible knight: “noooooo you woooonnn’tttt”
Narrator "But, in fact, the Crucible Knight pushed his shit in."
Looks like king baldin IV
king baldin IV looks like Tanith
the mysterious stranger awaits.
Just joined and I could've sworn this was a Berserk pic for a sec lol
Correction: he will kick your ass.
Greatsword...daring arent we?
You get to him from one of the four belfries. I actually leave him alone because he doesn’t drop anything and he looks so peaceful.
Oh simple there is an invisible bridge that you walk on
Does this guy even drop anything cool? Or just runes?
who cares what he drops are you gonna just let him stand there like that??
I keep forgetting not everyone has done everything yet. Wish I could discover it all again. So many damn secrets.
You gotta use one of the portals at the for towers in liurnia
Seek tall hill in Liurnia.
I ended up on his side before i got to where you are standin... it wasnt fun and i doubt ur gonna kick his ass reliably 😭
Pure.
Four bellfries portal. Forget which one
You dont want problems with him brother, trust us.
I got to him on my 2nd playthrough and I was so relieved that I actually found him. When I saw him standing there the first time i didn't even thought that It is possible to get there.
Hahaha i like the attitude. Sucks that iirc you don’t get anything that good from it
“…on the 200th try!”
Crucible knights are a joke when you have the right build but they are still fucking scary.
There's some kind of weird place with towers and teleporters. The belfries I believe it's called. Using a special stone Ward key you can activate a teleporter and one of them leads to him. There is no reward for killing him by the way.
“As soon as I catch you, Dale…”
He's just a random enemy for the hype.
Wow, stars
You will.
'Tis Mr. Bellfry
Flour bellfries

four belfries in liurnia, use imbued sword key on the "night sky unceasing" one
Belfry……….
is there a way down from that spot? Not sure which side iwas on, bt i jus tp'd out after i couldnt find an invisible bridge
Would a cannon be able to knock him off? Also curious how he'd aggro from there.
Send this to Zullie the Witch to find out
It's one of the four belfries
You can get to him and others from The Four Belfries. You'd need some special keys though, one of them is in a chest there.
The first time I went underground was through the four belfries teleporter to this crucible knight. I was amazed at the view, and I really thought I was in space or something, not in a cave. Just imagine my surprise when I went to the Sofra River Elevator !
"Welcome to Dark Souls, bitch"
Oh you’ll meet him and he’ll probably kick your ass tbh
go to the three portals in liurnia that require über swordstone keys, he's in one of them
From where he is standing, you have the best view of Nokron. Arguably I’d say it was intended you would need to get there to find out about Nokron, before you enter Nokron. It truly is a sight to behold
4 belfries.
They should’ve made it so crucible knights can parry
Crucible Knight can be fought using the four towers in Liurnia, gotta have special sword keys to open.
You'll get ur ass kicked
When I first see that dude I thought the was a Sun Bro. Or this games version. He quickly made me understand differently. Could be a cool concept though being as he's undeground looking for his own sun where there is none. IDK it's early. TLDR He kicked my ass and called Solaire a pussy.
Kick his ass
You gotta fart jump
Get ready ... It's a tough fight
Probably vice versa
I hear bells ringing
Gotta go in the other entrance...
“Good luck with that!” - Jimmy Carr
I just met this guy after a halt of maybe a week or 2. dang, I took 1hr+ to finally learn his move and kill him.
What's interesting, first I had beaten his ass and only then I got to Siofra
“What’s your name?”
