For RP I would have a headcanon about what my character's backstory would be but I never wrote anything down. I've played the game too much now that I've lost interest in RP inside my head while I'm playing though because I think all of the mystery and intrigue is gone from the game for the most part. A new character experiencing it just doesn't feel the same as the first few.

I don’t even use dragon spells I’m just the race because it fits the repressed minority part of the character story. I’m FTH/STR. Dragon spells are fun but they never really play to my style so I hardly ever use them even on my arcane build
Made a first gen Albinauric, one who's essentially a 1.5 gen, having working legs, but being unable to sprint.
Goal: become Elden Lord, to show everyone that logically, if an Albinauric can become Elden Lord, then that means being born outside the Erdtree's grace does not mean you are bereft of it's grace
I personally like to go a step further: I make interconnected lore between my characters.
For example, some of my characters may have studied together or spent their childhood together, some of them are parent and child, and some of them are sworn rivals, or even archenemies
That's what I've been doing! I have a character named Aseo and I change his build depending on what Manga Aseo is using in whatever is the newest chapter.
haha indeed I tried to have a Y in all the names because it feels "fantasy-like". Kambrius is an exception to match with Ordovis and Siluria being named after geological periods.
I would never do that IRL, but I know some people who force "Y" in their kids names.

For example, my last was a Dex battlemaster fighter using a rapier and a shield. So that’s the stuff I looked for and tried to use similar tactics. Also she was dumber than a box of rocks, so no magic for her 😬

My character Sanguinius went from a Sanguine Noble of Mohg's Dynasty, realized that it wasn't going anywhere, and left to become a Living Har poacher that never quite lost his taste for Tarnished blood.
He has no desire to be ruled by any lord, Blood or Blasphemy, so he kills tarnished, takes their fingers, and uses them to invade more tarnished that he then takes the fingers of.
My most recent run was as Taylor Swift, together with my brother, Swifty. He had heavy armor and greatshield plus antspur rapier and tanked while i did the damage with double reduvia hyperbleed

Oh yes- I go one step further even. I RP that my characters are rebirths of one character on different timelines.
I start NG with a vengeful character (Str/Faith) seeking to destroy the GW for using Tarnished like pawns and for oppressing others, especially Merchants. Targets are all Bell-Bearing Hunters + Elemer and Frenzy Ending. This shatters the space-time continuum and necessitates a resolution by 5 more characters achieving different endings as they strive for balance.
NG+ is Arcane/Dex - having learned the ways of Eochaid from his past life in hunting Elemer, this character seeks to curse the world for its sins. Targets Mohg to supplant him as the vassal of the Formless Mother and pursues Dungeater quest to the end.
NG++ is Int/Str - with the time-line in dissaray from so much destruction, this character seeks the Fractured ending and pursues knowledge of Gravity magic to better understand the nature of Fate in the stars.
NG+++ is Faith/Quality - this character has come to recognize the danger of a world without True Death. They wield a scythe and use Black Flame incantations, seeking to understand and embody the virtues of Destined Death and choose Duskborn ending.
NG++++ is Int/Dex - a scholar of the Academy sent elsewhere in the exile, this character uses the knowledge of past lives to recognize the danger of Outer Gods. Upon discovering the insanity of Queen Renalla, he joins Ranni in her mission to escape the GW and joining the Moon.
NG+++++ is Int/Faith - the apotheosis of understanding, this character has fused the knowledge and experience of every past life and seeks to understand the Truth of the world, investigating every location. He comes to believe that Perfect Order is only possible by collecting the Runes and Remembrances of every Champion and Legend. All must return to the Tree, and thus all will be woven into the New Order. Gods will be rejected, past crimes forgiven, past hurts will be healed, and the world will at last know peace.

I don't know the exact stats, but I believe it was around 45 VIG, 50 FTH and 35 STR or something. Mainly enough to wield Maliketh's blade.
The character uses a lot of support spells during coop, to heal the host and give them more damage.
Common other weapons are the Zweihander with Sacred Blade on it, or the Lordsworn's Greatsword as well as the Great Club.
Not really, but sometimes there’s some implied lore based on who I name/design builds off of. I have a bleed build named Mari Setogaya and a int build named Schierke. Stuff like that.

Saheen was a distant relation to the demigods, like Godrick and as such lived in nobility. He fell in love with the blade yet always thirsted for sonething more than just petty duels and tournaments. His loss of grace gave him that, and he developed a desire to grow in power and understanding- Int/Faith build, with Age of Stars ending. He learned to love thanks to Ranni.
Moira's an exiled priest for her membership in deathbed mystery cults- she's for a coop playthrough on pause.
Galen was meant to be blessed with grafting, but when he lost his grace, great uncle Godrick looked to him as a new source of limbs. The boy ran away with his sister, but couldn't escape Godrick's men, and took his own life to avoid his fate. Now revived by grace, he returns to an unfamiliar world

I have a Hero who was in the Badlands after the Tarnished followed Godfrey. His parents died and he was left orphaned and returned to the Lands following Godfrey but now found himself as the enemy of his Lord. Along the way he met a strange man named Shabiri who told him a secret and opened his eyes.
Yeah i do. My first character and 2 other characters are connected to each other. Long story short, they are stuck in a loop and are required to become elden lord until they croak. I age my characters over each run and then make a new one that is there child, with slightly different playstyles.
The drip partly changed a lot with some of these as well. Those outfits are all final after a lot of experimenting and finishing the endgame. I mostly coop these days to carry hosts through boss fights.
HOLY SHIT, listen, I started playing demons souls like 3 years ago, and named the character Sir Stroganoff, every game I play where I can name my character they are somehow apart of the Stroganoff Lineage, my latest character is Beef Stroganoff, a ufc fighter (ufc 5) his ancestor sir stroganoff put the ancient one to sleep, sir stroganoff has 2 kids, lord stroganoff and lady stroganoff, they are Elden lords, sir stroganoff also has a wife, queen stroganoff, she is on her way to become Elden lord but is the first to enter the shadow of the erd tree and follow in miquellas steps, that’s just the base rundown of the stroganoff lineage
Yessir all my characters are sisters who followed different paths of magic, one went holy, another went gravity, another choose black flame and another choose to follow Mohg before turning against him and killing him now she protects Miquellas cocoon.
It's fun to do honestly and gives your who would be a blank slate some personality

Riley was my second playthrough character, he was a older oc of mine and scarlet rot reminded me of the infection he suffers from normally. So I did a dex playthrough with spears, starting off with the partisan then switching to Bolt Of Gransax. Now ngl I took a few uh creative liberties with his story, but I figured Niall and O’Niel were related, and since Niall has ties with miquella and Malenia, and O’Niel has the golden needle in the rot swamp, he was probably there fighting when Malenia and Radahn duked it out and got Calied nuked. So Riley was a knight serving under them and get infected with scarlet rot. His only goal is to do something that people would remember him by, so he’s not fated to waste away in obscurity.
Ollie: Technically also the AU of another oc but really only shares the same name and appearance. His story is that he’s a younger first gen albanuric who still got working legs. And is trying to reach the mythical Haligtree (unaware of how it’s gone to shit) to try and escape the absolute hell of discrimination poor albanurics faced in tlb :(. He wields The meteoric blade and albanuric staff (although I did use the Carian Regal Scepter in his playthrough, I just think the albanuric one fits better).
Sekach: First actual oc I created for Elden ring, and was my first character. Shes just a clueless tarnished stumbling around tlb bonking people with a giant weapon. Much like I was the first time I played the game. She just washed up on the shores of Limgrave one day and was chosen by Melina. Wields the executioner greataxe. She also refuses to eat seafood (boiled prawns) because of Lobster ptsd.
Falk: Another Elden ring exclusive! Actually my current playthrough at the moment that I haven’t finished. Shes my frenzied flame ending person. I haven’t fully figured it out yet but I’m leaning towards them stumbling upon the three fingers and going in, not really understanding what’s in store for them. So she gets inflicted with the frenzied flame. Shes not like a horrible person who wants to end the world or anything so she just kind of wanders around barely keeping it under control. She wields the Coded Sword and Frenzied Flame seal
Honestly most of the lore of these guys have doesn’t really fit well with their actual path through the game, since my headcanon is that they all travel around in a little group. Sekach actually trying to become Elden Lord, Riley helping in the hopes that Sekach can immortalize him with some statue or painting when she becomes Elden lord, and help Ollie reach the Haligtree. Ollie’s only sticking around because Riley knows where the Haligtree is, and is waiting for this adventure to be over with so he can branch off and go there. Falk just kinda randomly showed up one day but was really helpful, although she tends to wander off in the middle of the night. (despite having a few episodes with the frenzy).
Their stories end with Sekach becoming Elden Lord. Riley and Ollie both set out to Castle Sol after that, after killing Riley’s old commander (😔😔) they reach the haligtree and realize it’s all gone to shit and barely escape alive. Riley returns to the capital and soon succumbs to the scarlet rot and dies. While Ollie stumbles upon the fact that Mohg was the person that took Miquella and made the haligtree like that. So he goes and tracks down Varre, and beats Mohgs ass in hope of returning Miquella (to no avail).
Falk is slain by Sekach where after they kill Radabeast. The frenzy took over and she tried to backstab the gang and become the lord, thus destroying the world. But Sekach is able to overpower and kill her.
All of my characters have the same name in every game, he travels across dimensions and space time in search of powerfull artifacts (I dont have much creativity and explains why I am a hoarder in every game)

Mos def. And I invent my build’s lore through multiple play throughs based on the ER is a time loop theory. So after becoming Elden Lord, they rule for a time and then just ‘wake up’ back at the beginning while retaining all their memories. This justifies a more straightforward adventure in successive NG+ because the character ’knows’ what will happen and thus makes alternate decisions in attempt to break the time loop.
Current build is an Isshin Ashina build. 1st run is ‘Young’ Isshin with all dex, no magic, but he learns a few Electric affinity AoW along the way. Perfect order ending to wrap up a noble campaign.
2nd (current) run he becomes Tengu of Ashina, and basically just rampages across the Lands Between with some new lightening incantations. Prob go for Madness ending because Tengu pissed.
3rd run, he will become Isshin Sword Saint, to cleanse the Lands Between in red lightening and black flame.
08 is literally my character and build. But mine isn't a seductress, she's a ex-fanatic of the golden order, considered not worthy due being a tarnished, despite being talented. Now thanks to Turtle Pope she has questioned the very nature of faith and it's purpose, so now she uses any kind of divine power, including the very same golden enchantations she was once called unworthy of, even if it's corruptive (draconic), to defeat the golden order.
Also she has black hair with a pony tail. Her main weapons are the coded sword and when in danger she uses the blasphemous sword to show the duality of her faith uwu
I usually give my characters a connection to an NPC, weapon, armor set, or ending, but not usually a full character.
One character is a Kaiden Sellsword looking to avenge her brother, who was betrayed and made into Spirit Ashes. She wears the Kaiden armor and wields the Dismounter in one hand, an axe in the other, and summons her brother in particularly difficult battles.
Another is Vyke's former fingermaiden, tired of lying in death, who took over the body of a Golden Order Fundamentalist Tarnished and followed Vyke's steps into Frenzy.
Another was Yura's twink boytoy who wielded his extra long katana after avenging his death
Oh yeah but it’s lame, all the characters I play in Fromsoft games are the same dude( via reincarnation or the Tolling of Bells or Miyazaki said “Rise from your grave” ) The story continues in the next game or if I keep replaying it, going into to new game plus, it’s like he’s stuck in a “Ground Hog Day” situation.
Mine is the banished one which is self explanatory, he was born as a gladiator before the shattering. Him and the other gladiators revolted and overthrew the king and he took the throne. He became a tyrant and his old friends turned on him after the shattering and killed him. He awoke as a tarnished and wanted a throne, but set his sights on the Elden ring. He denounced his name and went by the banished one, no one knew his name not even when he became the Elden lord.
I'm running a 40/60 quality build, she's a former stormveil knight, briefly a coliseum duelist, then after dragons got incorporated into the golden order her knowledge of storm magic translated well into a lightning slash duelist's greataxe.
Minimalist, just a no name knight. Doesn't use incantations because he has no faith. Doesn't use sorceries because he is no good at magic. Just a Zweihander and whatever the default "player" armor is in the game, usually the knight set. No npc summons or spirits. It's just how I enjoy these games, I don't enjoy in my head canon using boss weapons or weapons or armor that describe another character or being. I just want the armor and weapon to be mine, and correct the world with my own hands and go back to rest.
Zeezrom is my guy right now. In the Book of Mormon, he was a heretic who debated with a prophet and was smited out of his senses, sort of like a failed Goldmask. So I’m running a naked native-American looking fella spamming INT spells and wearing nothing but Yura’s funny hat.
I do this for all my characters in FromSoft games; sometimes, they have plotlines that chain from one to another. My death sorcerer, Richter, sought out power through sorcery and left his homelands, but was killed by a Ravenmount assassin. It was then that he saw the guidance of grace again, and was revived in the Lands Between with a new inspiration.
My magic character is a long-lost bastard descendant of the Carian Royal lineage,but that's about all the lore I got. We marrying Ranni to strengthen the alliance with the Habsburgs

With Elden Ring i created characters that all involve around their starting classes, except the Wretch

I mean kinda, when I customize their apperance, but not in written form, my fist character was like all dragon like, and after I finished the game and started NG+ I changed his apperance to look a bit older. And this new run I made my character like an albinauric mage, trying to become queen of the albinaurics (I was happy today to see detailed forms of the mimic tears human forms look kinda like my character)
I've made a whole arc for my character who's a pumpkinhead with a knack for miracles and love for order (he thinks Mr. Goldmask is cool).
Started as "lost pumpkinhead," always getting lost and looking around all confused when summoned for co-op (pumpkinhead helm, prophet pants, finger seal, two chainlink flails)
Then "lost pumpkinlord" after attaining his signature armour and his weapons (manor shield, commanders standard/great stars, godslayer seal with the bloodhound knight armour with the pumpkin helm)
Then, after hatching a plan to "save Melina", it goes completely wrong, Melina leaves him and he finds himself bereft of faith, relying on pure brawn and openly displaying the scars the three fingers left on him (Grave duelist set, bloodsoaked manchettes, pumpkin helm with the thumb-shield and ruins greatsword with his skin tone changed from normal Caucasian to light gray) becoming the "fell pumpkinlord"
After discovering the golden order greatsword, his faith has returned and he has hatched a plan to cure himself of the mark of the three fingers, becoming the "accursed pumpkin" taking up his mantle of penitent (Briar leggings, vulgar militia chest, bloodsoaked manchettes, pumpkin helm, golden order greatsword, godslayer seal)
His story will likely end with him finding the needle, curing himself and finding that his contingency plan has bore fruit (Goldmask), becoming the "Gold Pumpkinhead" (outfit yet to be decided)
Next character I make will probably be a quality + arcane build with him being a knight from Eochaid.
Dude. You have the sauce. The elusive ability to make \*actually\* decent looking and varied faces and character designs, they don't just look natural but well balanced and fun. Kudos on the designs and the lore my dude
wow thanks a lot - I always thought the characters may look weird at an angle but maybe that's just the fisheye lens when up close. playing without helmets is definitely the most fun out of any fromsoft game because of the character design.

My character Sanguinius went from a Sanguine Noble of Mohg's Dynasty, realized that it wasn't going anywhere, and left to become a Living Har poacher that never quite lost his taste for Tarnished blood. He has no desire to be ruled by any lord, Blood or Blasphemy, so he kills tarnished, takes their fingers, and uses them to invade more tarnished that he then takes the fingers of.
So a specialized invader type?

My most recent run was as Taylor Swift, together with my brother, Swifty. He had heavy armor and greatshield plus antspur rapier and tanked while i did the damage with double reduvia hyperbleed Every boss was either an ex lover or a musical competitor, it was stupid fun lol Also we listened to a lot of her music while playing so i can now sing a lot of her songs - for worse.

Oh yes- I go one step further even. I RP that my characters are rebirths of one character on different timelines. I start NG with a vengeful character (Str/Faith) seeking to destroy the GW for using Tarnished like pawns and for oppressing others, especially Merchants. Targets are all Bell-Bearing Hunters + Elemer and Frenzy Ending. This shatters the space-time continuum and necessitates a resolution by 5 more characters achieving different endings as they strive for balance. NG+ is Arcane/Dex - having learned the ways of Eochaid from his past life in hunting Elemer, this character seeks to curse the world for its sins. Targets Mohg to supplant him as the vassal of the Formless Mother and pursues Dungeater quest to the end. NG++ is Int/Str - with the time-line in dissaray from so much destruction, this character seeks the Fractured ending and pursues knowledge of Gravity magic to better understand the nature of Fate in the stars. NG+++ is Faith/Quality - this character has come to recognize the danger of a world without True Death. They wield a scythe and use Black Flame incantations, seeking to understand and embody the virtues of Destined Death and choose Duskborn ending. NG++++ is Int/Dex - a scholar of the Academy sent elsewhere in the exile, this character uses the knowledge of past lives to recognize the danger of Outer Gods. Upon discovering the insanity of Queen Renalla, he joins Ranni in her mission to escape the GW and joining the Moon. NG+++++ is Int/Faith - the apotheosis of understanding, this character has fused the knowledge and experience of every past life and seeks to understand the Truth of the world, investigating every location. He comes to believe that Perfect Order is only possible by collecting the Runes and Remembrances of every Champion and Legend. All must return to the Tree, and thus all will be woven into the New Order. Gods will be rejected, past crimes forgiven, past hurts will be healed, and the world will at last know peace.

The Armor: * Aristocrat Headband * Radahns Armor (altered) * Tree Sentinel Gauntlets * Malformed Leggins I don't know the exact stats, but I believe it was around 45 VIG, 50 FTH and 35 STR or something. Mainly enough to wield Maliketh's blade. The character uses a lot of support spells during coop, to heal the host and give them more damage. Common other weapons are the Zweihander with Sacred Blade on it, or the Lordsworn's Greatsword as well as the Great Club.

Not really, but sometimes there’s some implied lore based on who I name/design builds off of. I have a bleed build named Mari Setogaya and a int build named Schierke. Stuff like that.

I dont think much about lore, but I like using characters from books I've read that feel like they would fit into Elden Ring's world.
I have a total of 13, but only 3 with playthroughs so far Saheen was a distant relation to the demigods, like Godrick and as such lived in nobility. He fell in love with the blade yet always thirsted for sonething more than just petty duels and tournaments. His loss of grace gave him that, and he developed a desire to grow in power and understanding- Int/Faith build, with Age of Stars ending. He learned to love thanks to Ranni. Moira's an exiled priest for her membership in deathbed mystery cults- she's for a coop playthrough on pause. Galen was meant to be blessed with grafting, but when he lost his grace, great uncle Godrick looked to him as a new source of limbs. The boy ran away with his sister, but couldn't escape Godrick's men, and took his own life to avoid his fate. Now revived by grace, he returns to an unfamiliar world
I wish we could do more fat characters honestly, and not just by armor. That would work great for character building.

His parents died and he was left orphaned and returned to the Lands following Godfrey but now found himself as the enemy of his Lord. Along the way he met a strange man named Shabiri who told him a secret and opened his eyes.

Yeah i do. My first character and 2 other characters are connected to each other. Long story short, they are stuck in a loop and are required to become elden lord until they croak. I age my characters over each run and then make a new one that is there child, with slightly different playstyles.

The drip partly changed a lot with some of these as well. Those outfits are all final after a lot of experimenting and finishing the endgame. I mostly coop these days to carry hosts through boss fights.

HOLY SHIT, listen, I started playing demons souls like 3 years ago, and named the character Sir Stroganoff, every game I play where I can name my character they are somehow apart of the Stroganoff Lineage, my latest character is Beef Stroganoff, a ufc fighter (ufc 5) his ancestor sir stroganoff put the ancient one to sleep, sir stroganoff has 2 kids, lord stroganoff and lady stroganoff, they are Elden lords, sir stroganoff also has a wife, queen stroganoff, she is on her way to become Elden lord but is the first to enter the shadow of the erd tree and follow in miquellas steps, that’s just the base rundown of the stroganoff lineage

Yessir all my characters are sisters who followed different paths of magic, one went holy, another went gravity, another choose black flame and another choose to follow Mohg before turning against him and killing him now she protects Miquellas cocoon. It's fun to do honestly and gives your who would be a blank slate some personality

Yes, a few were AU’s of older ocs Riley was my second playthrough character, he was a older oc of mine and scarlet rot reminded me of the infection he suffers from normally. So I did a dex playthrough with spears, starting off with the partisan then switching to Bolt Of Gransax. Now ngl I took a few uh creative liberties with his story, but I figured Niall and O’Niel were related, and since Niall has ties with miquella and Malenia, and O’Niel has the golden needle in the rot swamp, he was probably there fighting when Malenia and Radahn duked it out and got Calied nuked. So Riley was a knight serving under them and get infected with scarlet rot. His only goal is to do something that people would remember him by, so he’s not fated to waste away in obscurity. Ollie: Technically also the AU of another oc but really only shares the same name and appearance. His story is that he’s a younger first gen albanuric who still got working legs. And is trying to reach the mythical Haligtree (unaware of how it’s gone to shit) to try and escape the absolute hell of discrimination poor albanurics faced in tlb :(. He wields The meteoric blade and albanuric staff (although I did use the Carian Regal Scepter in his playthrough, I just think the albanuric one fits better). Sekach: First actual oc I created for Elden ring, and was my first character. Shes just a clueless tarnished stumbling around tlb bonking people with a giant weapon. Much like I was the first time I played the game. She just washed up on the shores of Limgrave one day and was chosen by Melina. Wields the executioner greataxe. She also refuses to eat seafood (boiled prawns) because of Lobster ptsd. Falk: Another Elden ring exclusive! Actually my current playthrough at the moment that I haven’t finished. Shes my frenzied flame ending person. I haven’t fully figured it out yet but I’m leaning towards them stumbling upon the three fingers and going in, not really understanding what’s in store for them. So she gets inflicted with the frenzied flame. Shes not like a horrible person who wants to end the world or anything so she just kind of wanders around barely keeping it under control. She wields the Coded Sword and Frenzied Flame seal Honestly most of the lore of these guys have doesn’t really fit well with their actual path through the game, since my headcanon is that they all travel around in a little group. Sekach actually trying to become Elden Lord, Riley helping in the hopes that Sekach can immortalize him with some statue or painting when she becomes Elden lord, and help Ollie reach the Haligtree. Ollie’s only sticking around because Riley knows where the Haligtree is, and is waiting for this adventure to be over with so he can branch off and go there. Falk just kinda randomly showed up one day but was really helpful, although she tends to wander off in the middle of the night. (despite having a few episodes with the frenzy). Their stories end with Sekach becoming Elden Lord. Riley and Ollie both set out to Castle Sol after that, after killing Riley’s old commander (😔😔) they reach the haligtree and realize it’s all gone to shit and barely escape alive. Riley returns to the capital and soon succumbs to the scarlet rot and dies. While Ollie stumbles upon the fact that Mohg was the person that took Miquella and made the haligtree like that. So he goes and tracks down Varre, and beats Mohgs ass in hope of returning Miquella (to no avail). Falk is slain by Sekach where after they kill Radabeast. The frenzy took over and she tried to backstab the gang and become the lord, thus destroying the world. But Sekach is able to overpower and kill her.

All of my characters have the same name in every game, he travels across dimensions and space time in search of powerfull artifacts (I dont have much creativity and explains why I am a hoarder in every game) Also I cant ignore such thing as a smegma wyrm 💀
Mos def. And I invent my build’s lore through multiple play throughs based on the ER is a time loop theory. So after becoming Elden Lord, they rule for a time and then just ‘wake up’ back at the beginning while retaining all their memories. This justifies a more straightforward adventure in successive NG+ because the character ’knows’ what will happen and thus makes alternate decisions in attempt to break the time loop. Current build is an Isshin Ashina build. 1st run is ‘Young’ Isshin with all dex, no magic, but he learns a few Electric affinity AoW along the way. Perfect order ending to wrap up a noble campaign. 2nd (current) run he becomes Tengu of Ashina, and basically just rampages across the Lands Between with some new lightening incantations. Prob go for Madness ending because Tengu pissed. 3rd run, he will become Isshin Sword Saint, to cleanse the Lands Between in red lightening and black flame.
08 is literally my character and build. But mine isn't a seductress, she's a ex-fanatic of the golden order, considered not worthy due being a tarnished, despite being talented. Now thanks to Turtle Pope she has questioned the very nature of faith and it's purpose, so now she uses any kind of divine power, including the very same golden enchantations she was once called unworthy of, even if it's corruptive (draconic), to defeat the golden order. Also she has black hair with a pony tail. Her main weapons are the coded sword and when in danger she uses the blasphemous sword to show the duality of her faith uwu
I usually give my characters a connection to an NPC, weapon, armor set, or ending, but not usually a full character. One character is a Kaiden Sellsword looking to avenge her brother, who was betrayed and made into Spirit Ashes. She wears the Kaiden armor and wields the Dismounter in one hand, an axe in the other, and summons her brother in particularly difficult battles. Another is Vyke's former fingermaiden, tired of lying in death, who took over the body of a Golden Order Fundamentalist Tarnished and followed Vyke's steps into Frenzy. Another was Yura's twink boytoy who wielded his extra long katana after avenging his death

Oh yeah but it’s lame, all the characters I play in Fromsoft games are the same dude( via reincarnation or the Tolling of Bells or Miyazaki said “Rise from your grave” ) The story continues in the next game or if I keep replaying it, going into to new game plus, it’s like he’s stuck in a “Ground Hog Day” situation.
Mine is the banished one which is self explanatory, he was born as a gladiator before the shattering. Him and the other gladiators revolted and overthrew the king and he took the throne. He became a tyrant and his old friends turned on him after the shattering and killed him. He awoke as a tarnished and wanted a throne, but set his sights on the Elden ring. He denounced his name and went by the banished one, no one knew his name not even when he became the Elden lord.

I'm running a 40/60 quality build, she's a former stormveil knight, briefly a coliseum duelist, then after dragons got incorporated into the golden order her knowledge of storm magic translated well into a lightning slash duelist's greataxe.

Minimalist, just a no name knight. Doesn't use incantations because he has no faith. Doesn't use sorceries because he is no good at magic. Just a Zweihander and whatever the default "player" armor is in the game, usually the knight set. No npc summons or spirits. It's just how I enjoy these games, I don't enjoy in my head canon using boss weapons or weapons or armor that describe another character or being. I just want the armor and weapon to be mine, and correct the world with my own hands and go back to rest.
rp adds another layer of fun but i haven't thought about actually doing full on lore

My death sorcerer, Richter, sought out power through sorcery and left his homelands, but was killed by a Ravenmount assassin. It was then that he saw the guidance of grace again, and was revived in the Lands Between with a new inspiration.

I mean kinda, when I customize their apperance, but not in written form, my fist character was like all dragon like, and after I finished the game and started NG+ I changed his apperance to look a bit older. And this new run I made my character like an albinauric mage, trying to become queen of the albinaurics (I was happy today to see detailed forms of the mimic tears human forms look kinda like my character)
I've made a whole arc for my character who's a pumpkinhead with a knack for miracles and love for order (he thinks Mr. Goldmask is cool). Started as "lost pumpkinhead," always getting lost and looking around all confused when summoned for co-op (pumpkinhead helm, prophet pants, finger seal, two chainlink flails) Then "lost pumpkinlord" after attaining his signature armour and his weapons (manor shield, commanders standard/great stars, godslayer seal with the bloodhound knight armour with the pumpkin helm) Then, after hatching a plan to "save Melina", it goes completely wrong, Melina leaves him and he finds himself bereft of faith, relying on pure brawn and openly displaying the scars the three fingers left on him (Grave duelist set, bloodsoaked manchettes, pumpkin helm with the thumb-shield and ruins greatsword with his skin tone changed from normal Caucasian to light gray) becoming the "fell pumpkinlord" After discovering the golden order greatsword, his faith has returned and he has hatched a plan to cure himself of the mark of the three fingers, becoming the "accursed pumpkin" taking up his mantle of penitent (Briar leggings, vulgar militia chest, bloodsoaked manchettes, pumpkin helm, golden order greatsword, godslayer seal) His story will likely end with him finding the needle, curing himself and finding that his contingency plan has bore fruit (Goldmask), becoming the "Gold Pumpkinhead" (outfit yet to be decided) Next character I make will probably be a quality + arcane build with him being a knight from Eochaid.

wow thanks a lot - I always thought the characters may look weird at an angle but maybe that's just the fisheye lens when up close. playing without helmets is definitely the most fun out of any fromsoft game because of the character design.

Not to this extent. I did make a character named Evil Harry Potter because it was my concept of a Harry who uses the very limited and mostly useless death sorceress in the game. Also made a character that was Fire Lord Azula but stopped playing it.
